  1. See, I don't think that's it. I think its a processing speed issue. He will look at a wide open receiver and he has this pause, then he goes to the next read. It's a yip, perhaps from getting the poo knocked out of him for four straight seasons, but it doesn't matter. He's unfixable at this point. Only a sports psychologist and maybe a hypnotist could fix him at this point.
  2. It's a shame Sam can't get it together. Dude throws the ball so well.
  3. The Jets organization is run a lot like message board blowhards would. Works great.
  4. This makes zero sense to me. If we are playing long game rebuild, you start Sam until Corral is ready, then next year we will know; 1.) Sam is officially unfixable (we pretty much already know this) and more importantly, off the books. 2.) A pretty good idea of Corral's potential 3.) and whether or not we need to draft a QB next year.
  5. I knew this post was coming. I think we need to wait until he commits a crime before we fabricate excuses for idiotic behavior.
  6. That's the only right answer. We would have won easily with decent RT.
  7. Which is just fine. If Sam can get us to around .500 by weeks 6-9, that's a win. (if Corral shows promise in the preseason and McAdoo thinks he's ready.)
  8. This pole is going to yield some shocking results. After 4 garbage seasons, message board dorks are unhappy. Are you really curious or are you just addicted to hearing people whine?
  9. If he has a “process” for building a roster and how to manage said roster, (which I hope to God he does) it would be idiotic to spell it all out there to the media to appease and sound smart to message board nerds. Some of his possible philosophies based on what we’ve seen; He likes to bring rookies along slowly, especially later round picks in certain position groups. Not necessarily a bad thing in regard not wanting to overwhelm young players and possibly ruin them. A lot of the “throw them into the fire” crowd, might think differently if it were their 20 year old thrown out there to get embarrassed on national TV and possibly ruin their career. These young men have lives to lead after the NFL chews them up and spits them out. As a college coach and a father, Rhule is probably sensitive to that. To get out of QB purgatory, take lots of swings and be willing to miss. Better than trotting out a Teddy or Cousins repeatedly.I like his willingness to try something and move on quickly if it doesn’t work. Picking up Sam’s option was absolutely crizazzlebeans, though. Finally, and this is something he’s actually said, he wants to build a team for sustained success. It will be interesting to see how the “all in for now” philosophy works out for the Rams long term. I’m not saying it’s right of wrong, but having a player groomed to take over when the team loses a player to FA, and building through the draft, may be better for long term results. TL/DR. I know. continue your whining. Bitches.
  10. In before "he could have had 1st round money if he laid off the booger sugar!" Jesus. You guys are dicks.
  11. Unfortunately, they're already using the right Matt Rhule to play Sean Payton.
  12. If the guy can step in as a competent backup LT and can also play guard and/or emergency center, that pans out better than a lot of 3rd rounders do.
  13. I never thought anyone could out "you know" Luke. I stand corrected.
  14. You're going to get shat upon for saying it, but you're not wrong. And it's not the criticism, hell, There's plenty of things I'd criticize the current regime for. It's the redundancy and bithchiness that's irritating. The fact that the constant crybaby circle-jerk is led by mods and "respected" long time members is fugging embarassing.
  15. Because of Rhule, the huddle no longer believes in measurables, but now totally buys into power rankings. lol
  16. I make up to $2000 per week working at home
  17. I’m no scouting expert by any means, but there’s something about the way the ball comes off some QB’s hand that just looks NFL pro. That effortless snap. Cam had it. Corral has it. Jimmy Clausen never did. It doesn’t mean he’s going to be great. Hell, Phillip rivers made a nice career with a Teeebow wind up. Point is, Jimmy Clausen never had it, Corral does. I’m excited to see him play.
  18. Yeah, he walked on as a player at Penn State and turned around two college programs without knowing what a football looked like. Jesus.
  19. If the "the rookie wall" and "benefitting from a year in an NFL weightroom" sentiments are legit, an ideal scenario might be getting to the 9 game mark, then starting Corral and going on a possible run if we're above .500 at that point. The qualifying variables being, 1.) How Sam looks 2.) Does McAdoo think Corral is ready
  20. I agree! Why get a QB that the Jets ruined when we can ruin them just fine ourselves? Ruining a 21 year old's confidence is a proven developmental tool. Maybe we can get him a Zach Wilson style rookie injury too.
  21. Yeah, there's no recovering from that. He probably resigned immediately after this but they fired him as a solid so he could collect unemployment until he found a new gig
  22. The retired coach was a college coach that went 1-15 then 7-9 his first two NFL seasons, so maybe not the best example, but I get your point.
  23. Sam currently has a processing speed issue. When he sees a man open, it's as if he needs to take another little look around like a senior citizen backing out a parking space. It manifests as this pause, or yip, so to speak. I haven't seen whether or not he had it college or if 3 years of getting pummeled on the Jets (plus one year here) caused it, but I doubt it can be coached out at this point.
  24. The only ways to secure a franchise QB: Have a top pick or be willing to give up a lot to get one (still doesn't always work) Trade multiple firsts for a known entity (obviously, you can't always land your guy) Take lots of swings and hopefully hit on something eventually. now we're resigned to option #3. They aren't going to pass up a top QB just because they just spent a third on one. (before anyone brings up Fields, they obviously didn't view him as a top prospect, and at this point we don't know if they were right or not)
