  1. BC must have banged Canales' favorite porn star or something. They seem reluctant to play him for whatever reason.
  2. I haven't read the thread, and I'm sure someone has probably made this point; but in case they haven't. If past history is any indicator, then no. He's never cleaned house. He's dusted off a room here and there, but he always retains part of the old regime, so our FO, coaching, and roster are never on the same page. Without burning it all down simultaneously, the only was this works is if he hires a reputable consultant that recommends a president of football ops, who evaluates Dan, and if he gets rid of Dan, hire a competent GM (I'd prefer one with a scouting background who is known to be draft guru) and then that GM evaluates Canales, and builds a roster that suits DCs or new coach's plan.
  3. If you read the thread title to the tune of "two turntables and a microphone" it's more fun.
  4. All you haters will eat your crow-jangles when Bryce breaks the unseen yards and unseen touchdown records, and wins the unseen MVP. I, for one, will be there when he is inducted into the unseen hall of fame...if I can find it.
  5. I get all that. I'm just saying, XL and Coker had over a full year of mentorship from Thielen and they were lucky to have it. I just think the vet leadership value is a bit overblown here. By all accounts, David Moore is a great locker room guy and their WR coach was a 12 year pro bowl vet.
  6. So how many years does a professional athlete need a grizzled old vet teaching him? Maybe we let Thielen go because there's litterally not a player old enough to mentor him.
  7. What more could Thielen have taught XL and Coker after a full season and two preseasons? We'll be fine. At the very least, we'll have a really good idea where our WR corps is at the end of the season.
  8. Thank you. Jesus. You would think this is a new concept by some of the idiotic comments.
  9. I agree, and to be fair, damn near every player outside the first round is somewhat of a project. But without some patience, the first round projects are a waste of a high pick
  10. Then he needs to stop drafting projects. Everyone knew XL was raw.
  11. I know. My point is, IF he ever becomes a good player and shines on a widely viewed national stage, his press is going to go viral. Right now, he's just a regional cult hero based on personality alone.
  12. If XL ever gets a post game interview in a playoff game, he's going to become a superstar.
  13. Hopefully they'll cancel it before we ever have to do it
  14. It's funny. Would probably be funnier if I wasn't a Panthers fan. A little bit of bad form, coming into Charlotte and ripping the local team, but whatevs, fam.
  15. He's never played two consecutive seasons with the same coaching staff. Imagine trying to learn your trade with a new coach 3 years in a row. Ickey will be a top 10 LT in the league this year. Mark it.
  16. and that guy has a conflict of interest that affects his assignment
  17. Nice smoke screen. Glad to see we're not telegraphing our picks anymore. Warren it is.
  18. Exactly. We always seem to value speed or physical measurables. Route running technicians almost always pan out and yet we never seem to draft them.
  19. That’s revisionist history. Reich was pretty well respected in the league and had the same win% in Indy as Rivera did here despite crappy QB play, and a bad owner/GM situation. I’m not saying he was a good hire. Not by a long shot, but he was considered a safe hire at the time. Yeah, I think he realized that Tepper was just as bad, if not worse than Isray and he seemed to completely check out, but “guaranteed to fail” he was not.
  20. Hell yeah. Now draft an injured RB at 8 and we're set. LFG!
  21. Just when you thought you couldn't hate the Saints anymore than you already do....
  22. Remember Norman and Bradberry? The front 7 makes a difference for sure, but it's not like elite DL grow on trees either.
