Bryce was ok today especially considering our pass protection was pretty bad today. He was under duress almost immediately every passing down. On the other hand Shough or however the hell you spell it, had all day to throw against a soft zone. Not shitting on the guy, but our lack of pass rush and out fourth quarter prevent D did wonders for his stat line

Overall his play calling was actually pretty balanced today and I think the players like him and he’s built a decent culture, but damn, in a low scoring game, take any points when you have a chance.

I hope DC doesn’t abandon the run. We keep at it, Rico or Chuba will break off some big gains -

There he is. Attaboy Tmac -
It was. Without a doubt, his worst move

I wouldn’t say clueless. He drafted Daryl Williams, Moton, Norwell, and Trai Turner. But left tackle though, ooh we mayne. Other than Michael Orr working for one season, he dicked up LT badly.

With a win our playoff odds go from 47% to 62%. A loss would drop them to 24%. So yeah, pretty close to a must win game.

Saw this on IG this morning. If it had the "game...blouses" comment, I missed it. lol nice touch

Tepper is learning… I like this version of him

I saw her on the sidelines with the headset on and thought, "Man, that's going to be a mess." Read an article about it, and by all accounts, she is well liked, and not meddling as much as trying to learn the business. They say she sits in team meeting and never speaks or disrupts, and when she talks to players it's strictly "how's the family" type stuff and not football related. Her with the headset is a bad optic, and who knows how she will act in the future, but so far, she seems way more stable than her old man. -
As flat as they came out after preseason and a single "victory Monday" I wouldn't be resting the starters either.

so yea... the um Saints.... how do we beat them this time?

Our only hope is if "bad" Bryce is done for the season. "Serviceable to good" Bryce showed up for the end of last season. Let's hope that trend continues. -
For the record, I didn't want us to draft Bryce, and after the first half of the season I was hoping his starting tenure was over. But I have to admit, that he's played his way out of "the biggest bust of all time' conversation. He is currently playing his way into the "you could do a lot worse at QB" conversation, which is arguably worse for the franchise long term as far as "QB purgatory" goes. I hope the back and forth between being "horrifically bad" and "pretty damn good" stops next season (or the remainder of this season) Me personally, after getting my hopes up at the end of last season only to have him regress again, makes me think that bad Bryce is closer to the norm.

Brady, I guessed correctly. Would not have ever guessed the second one -
I'm with you. I think the TD pass to T-Mac was indeed a dot. I think what confused people is the dot was paired with "slinging." He threw that one more so than slinged. The Coker TD was, in my opinion, slung.

As I see it, Dave's biggest problem is that he makes reactionary over-corrections game-to-game and has trouble altering the game plan on the fly if it's not working. Example, the Saints successfully bottling up the run made him abandon the run for SF, where he figured Atlanta Bryce would show up. After that first quarter, he should have gone full Rico time. Hopefully he's learning.

I hate to add fuel to this idiotic thread, but we should also be arguing over what constitutes a "dort." (a throw that is somewhat dart-like while also being kind of dot-like.)

Playoffs!? You wanna talk about playoffs!?

It's a shame we don't have much pass rush to speak of. I miss the days of having a Charles Johnson that dinged up QBs had to think about. -
Everyone is probably tired of hearing me say it in all the Icky bashing threads, but this is the first time he's been with the same system/staff for two consecutive seasons since college and I knew he would end up being the guy. So 1) I told you so. (sorry, I was right about something. I need the recognition my father never gave me) 2) Pay him. He's going to continue to get better. and +1 to we need to learn how to draft guards again

If the trend continues, he"ll be good in 12 seasons.
