  1. Yeah I think CMC is in for a beating.
  2. We know Baker has the arm strength and the balls to go for big plays down field. It's just a question of what his TD/INT ratio is going to be as to whether or not he's going to stick with the team. If he throws too many picks then it won't matter that he makes big plays here and there. Ultimately I think Rhule is wanting to play small ball, run it a lot, and take a few shots down field here and there rather than air it out. The problem is that those days are over. We have to air it out, and that's what worries me about Baker. I still think we're taking a QB in the 1st in 2023 and Baker and Sam won't be here next season.
  3. Rhule won't receive a new contract if BOA goes through two more seasons of being mostly empty. The Panthers can't be known for losing and having a bad QB and still keep Rhule. Word around town has to be that we have an exciting QB and we're winners, and we're exciting to watch. This will draw in casual fans and people who want to be seen at the game, but don't care who wins. They want to be there for the hype, but not to actually watch much of the game, and leave and the end of the 3rd quarter. That element is gone, and so is just about everyone else. No good for Rhule.
  4. Has Watson ever met a woman and not molested her? Allegedly.
  5. He'll be in for a surprise with one of them then.
  6. Several seasons of having a good team that is in the mix for the playoffs.
  7. I've thought for some time that we'll be taking a QB #1 in the 2023 draft. We jettison Sam and Baker, and go into 2023 with a competition between Corral and our 1st round pick. I HOPE Baker can get it done, but he failed in Cleveland and had a great team around him.
  8. I think long time Panthers fans will remember being happy with the Gamble and Lucas combo. Could CJ and Horn be our next great combo? Well Horn needs to stay healthy, and CJ needs to play with confidence in what he's supposed to be doing on any given play. We basically have two CBs who can cover any WR in the NFL well. That is an amazing situation IF Horn can stay on the field and CJ knows what he's doing.
  9. Baker has a strong arm as evidenced by the mph data on his throws. I'm not worried at all about him throwing deep. My worry is that he's not going to have a good TD/INT ratio. I don't really want him doing many Brett Gunslinger throws into traffic, but then again that's kind of his thing. It's sort of like not wanting Cam to run, but then hoping he runs.
  10. Yeah Steve loves to make hot takes. If he says something bland he's not really doing his job. Here is one of his comments about Baker: “He [Mayfield] wears his emotions on his sleeve, I do too,” Smith said. “I was an emotional player. But the difference between Baker and I is one, I won triple crown—I led the league in something besides crying.” I really don't want to see Baker out there crying unless we win a SB. Someone pass that along to him.
  11. That is fantastic news about CJ! He looks like a number 1 CB, and if he can figure the game out then our secondary could be the best in the NFL. Add that to Watson being suspended and week one is looking like a win!
  12. Yeah he's got that quick release nice and tight. I just hope he has the deep ball accuracy.
  13. I'm hoping CJ has the mental side of the game down now because he has the physical talent to sub in for Horn. I just hope Horn doesn't break the other foot, or re-injure the broken foot, or injury anything, or get COVID, or a bad hang nail. Basically I'm worried.
  14. Washed up Julio is nothing to worry about.
  15. I watched some fan footage of Smith last summer going against the Fin's DBs and he didn't get separation. I don't have high hopes for Shi.
  16. The playbook for how to deal with Burns is already out around the league. Chip him when he pass rushes, and run at him and rough him up on run plays. We'll get more of that this season, but what decides our fate is Baker.
  17. The player who should be most worried about failure, in the form of injury, is CMC. If Baker is a flop we'll end up dumping the ball off to CMC a lot. He won't hold up, and that is setting CMC up to fail. Burns is the least of my worries.
  18. I think Deonte Brown will end up being cut unless he has transformed himself quiet a lot.

  20. I hate that Sam is taking up a roster spot, but we're on the hook for a lot of money because of Fitt's idiotic blunder. I can't envision Sam beating out Baker for the starting spot, but at the same time if he does then I think that's it for Rhule and Fitt. Too many mistakes for them too keep their jobs. They ran this ship straight into the rocks.
  21. I think Baker will maker a few funny comments. He seems like a jokester.
  22. We have enough talent to have a winning season if Baker plays really well. If not, then we're looking at 6-7 wins imo. We'll know in the first 3 games how the season is going to go. We need to start 3-0.
  23. Go watch this for a laugh, or to feel some pain depending on your personality.
