Notoriously we usually have TB within the first couple of games. If he can battle TB and the Bucs and do well and maybe even win. Can't wait for them to get together and start working.

We'll see what the schedule looks like soon. I think if he can get a couple of wins early. He'll gain confidence and be on the way to answering our QB situation.

It would be a disaster for our front office. They have done nearly the impossible and have put a decent squad in front of Darnold. So many weapons and now a decent line. Darnold doesn't have to put this team on his back the whole game. We need him to be consistent and if it comes down to the final drive for a win or lose. Than I expect him to put his big boy pants on and lead this team down the field for the win. If he fails it will be on him and the front office. Not to mention the huge buffet of all you can eat crow for many of the huddle faithful, including myself.

Any thoughts of Norman for safety? I hope we sign one of the OTs just to give Christensen a mentor.

Our long snapper pick was odd but obviously other teams had interest in him. Though it would waste a spot I would love to see him be mentored for a year behind JJ. He has the talent and I'm sure JJ can give him some NFL tips.

They say Keith Taylor is fast. Do you think he can be coached up to become a solid player? His score isn't elite but not bad.

Depending on how OTAs go and minicamps (as in what rules will be enforced due to Covid) Darnold will have a good feeling of who will be around him. If he gets into the playbook and knows it in and out he'll have a good start going into training camp. If he can play within Brady's scheme and not try to be the hero he'll play well.

Could be exactly what we'll do. Troy showed as a rookie that he can play. Moving him to Safety would keep the young talent on the field. I guess we'll see.

Well the one thing I can say is I think they have done a good job getting personnel to do just that. Darnold will have no excuse if he plays poorly. While the O-line may not be elite it will be good enough for him to excel especially with the weapons they have put around him. Just for the record. I think Darnold will do well in this offense and become a legit starter in this league. By mid-season many of us will be excited about our future.

Hurney used to draft players that he thought we could mold into what we do here. Fitterer drafted players that fit our mold. While there may have been others that we could have selected I think all of these selections were based on athleticism and their ability to fit into what we plan to do here. Tremble is a prime example. I watch some of his tape and teams will get so used to him blocking he'll sneak up and get us some crucial 1st downs. Imagine him slamming a linebacker or cornerback and CMC takes off. 2019 CMC had some great runs. This guy is going to give him more great runs. Fits our mold. Some of the latter round picks have a chance to contribute in rotation. Depth is critical.

I thought it was quite interesting, especially since most of the media wants to question each choice. I was surprised when I counted 9 of the top 150 and was even more surprised to see we so many of the "great" teams added only a few. Props to our Draft Team. I don't see how any outlet could give us a grade less than A. They use the passing on Fields as their justification but we gained a lot of good players that have a chance to make the team. You could put it in a different perspective. We only drafted 2 outside of the top 150.

I loved last years group but this group seem to hit on most of our needs.

This team, especially the defense, is full of young fast and smart players. I think we'll see a very exciting group. Last years defense that had so many holes improved as the season went along and gave us some exciting moments. With our FA and draft additions we are going to see some serious fight for playing time. I see many areas having rotations going on. (ie. D-line and CB) Offensively, we added some talent in every group except QB. I believe we may reach out for a veteran QB to back up Darnold. I like PJ but would hate to see a promising start go down the tubes because our backups aren't up for the task of taking over if Darnold gets hurt. Of all the players we drafted on offense, outside linemen, Tremble will probably touch the ball less than all of them but is probably the biggest addition to our offense. CMC getting a stud to give him a crease is going to pay big dividends. Super excited about him.

Not to mention he is also a big corner like Horn. I think our CB group got 100% better this weekend.

I hope we aren't paying Potted Plant too much sounds like he won't be much of a help to our defense.

Kind of reminds me a bit of Hoover.

I am sure there are one or two that were signed earlier that could be cut if we really have a UDFA that we want to try out.

What's intriguing is that Brown is going to demand more double teams than this guy. I have watched a couple of videos on him and he is a violent tackler and will be good for this team. I'm really loving this draft. I don't know many of the names but after I read up on them and watch their videos along with other items you guys post. This team is building an amazing team. In the next few years we're going to be a team to contend with year in and year out.

Another tall CB. I like it.

This score shows we are continuing to add superior athletes. If you have a player with bad habits you can usually coach it out of them by having the player fall back on their athleticism. Players that aren't as athletic have less of a possibility of changing not because they don't want to but athletically they cannot. AKA Greg Little

I caught that too when Jeremiah was talking about him. His blocking skill is awesome. In another post someone posted the athletic traits scores where he scored well. The goals of our draft team seems to put a huge value on this score. Tons of highly athletic players. I am sure they'll work with him to at least make him a threat as a receiver.

It's frustrating to wait for our pick only to see us trade down (especially when I am watching at 6am in the morning) but the last trade was quite fruitful. We have a chance to get a couple of players early in the 4th round (late 3rds). Plus we have recuperated the 4th round we gave away to NYJ. As of now, we only need to recuperate a 2nd and Darnold was free. (JOKE)

You have to trust our board. I know many of you may think he would have been available later but maybe we thought differently. I had never heard of him until last night but watching his clips intrigued me. Especially when they compared him to Kittle. Just because he didn't catch many passed doesn't mean he won't. The biggest problems most TE have seems to be blocking. This guy has it down and the receiving part may come easier for him. Ian Thomas could catch a ball but he sucks at blocking. And never got it. I'll be happy trying the other way. Get a good blocking TE and he'll develop into a receiving TE. Lastly, I think with this guy we have a better chance of converting more of those 3rd and short and 4th and short plays. He addresses and offensive need and I think he's perfect.
