  1. I'm sure they do. McDermott is the 10th head coach since Marv Levy left in 1997. No head coach lasting more than 3 seasons. McDermott is going into his 6th season (2017-Present) I am certain they are very appreciative of McDermott and Beane.
  2. @4Corners Thanks bro. It's been so long since you poo'd my post I thought you were lost. Glad to see you haven't lost your edge. I am sure it is important to you to poo every post of every person you don't agree with. You're a classic.
  3. I'm in 100% agreement here. I am sure they had nightmares when they drafted Allen and thinking of how those clowns ruined a generational talent like Cam. Allen had his moments early on but is now thriving under McDermott.
  4. There is a difference between a 1st round pick and a HOFer. Far too many huddlers think that he's a plug and play future HOFer. He's a 1st round pick with the measurables and talent to be very good. But as you pointed out he's going to have to learn. He's fortunate that he has Brian Burns to go against every practice. Someone to help him get better. He's going to give up some sacks early on. He has the tools to be a good LT. Patience is a virtue.
  5. Crow is a bit salty but damn. I was on the bandwagon that he was going to be a good player once Campen got a hold of him. I was dead wrong. He was a UN-welcome mat for Corral's injury.
  6. Very true but if you watched the game. It didn't matter who was at QB. Buffalo is loaded top to bottom and will be a force in the AFC. McDermott and Bean > Rhule and Fitterer and it isn't even close.
  7. This happens to many vets that move on. They believe that their success is based on their personal performance and not the team. Many players are a product of the scheme. Josh was really good in McDermott's defense but was mediocre in Washington's D. We have Wilks back so if he was available I would like to see him here again.
  8. I watch the total dismantling of Denver by Buffalo the other day. It didn't matter who was playing the Bills were far superior than Denver. I know it was preseason and everything is watered down but Buffalo did what they wanted to Denver all day long. McDermott has them on the brink of a Super Bowl while we are still stuck in purgatory. Rivera wasn't bad and had 2 coach of the year awards with us but McDermott is showing he is the cream of the crop as far as head coaches go. Futhermore, Billy Beane who was hired by Buffalo one day before we canned Gettleman. I still am pissed that we let a good GM go when we knew we were going to can Gettlemen. What could have been.
  9. Agreed about the cluster fxxk we have at the QB position. However, Rhule could have made time to get Corral some legitimate snaps over PJ. In fact, I don't see, other than Rhule's love affair with PJ, why PJ is still on the roster at all. Rhule and Co. knowing they were going to have this imaginary QB battle should have gone to Camp with only 3 QBs and made sure the rookie had a chance to get some valuable rep. Who really knows he could have shown more than what he has. Corral in his 2nd shot at QB was leaps and bounds better than his first shot.
  10. Agreed 100% Any other team would be giving a 3rd round rookie valuable reps. It amazes me that so many want to put the blame for his performance on him instead of the inept HC. I don't know what Rhule's problem was with Corral but it was very clear that he wasn't going to give him a good look. There have been several mid round QBs to excel in the NFL their first year. The difference is those mid-round picks were put ahead of a journeyman QB on the depth chart. They were given valuable Reps with a competent line in front of him. They were given every chance to succeed. Rhule gave him every chance to fail. That IMO is a valid reason to fire him on the spot. Tepper won't but he should.
  11. And the running back gained 5 or 6 yards. Icky wasn't able to continue blocking but he took Dugger out of the play. Some of you all think that Icky is so big he should never touch the ground.
  12. I doubt they would purge Corral even if we draft a QB in 2023. But otherwise, I agree that the QB room will definitely look a lot different. It's just sad that we spent a good draft pick to get a player that the HC didn't give him an opportunity. Rhule keeps talking about building a program but drafts a QB and basically ignored giving him a chance to work.
  13. Well since we didn't play our 1st string offense at all minus Icky and Baker and Sam sat out. Being 3rd QB would have put him with the best O-line if he had played the 1st two quarters. Rhule has made it a point this preseason that Corral wasn't getting much Reps. The least he could have done was give him a competent line and give him a running chance. A side note, Corral lasted longer than PJ at the goal line. Outside of Mays none of those players that were on the field will be in our 53.
  14. First of all, He's a rookie. It is not going to be a cake walk and I am sure he'll give up his fair share of sacks this year. He'll learn Secondly, if he moves into the guard spot for a season it doesn't make him a bust. It just means he needs time to develop into a LT. Third, only a moron would call him a bust after his first official start at LT.
  15. Don't doubt he was injured but to the extent that he going on IR for the season. Rhule was awful quick to send him to the IR considering we still have 3 weeks until the beginning of the season.
  16. I doubt this injury. I think it is a move by Rhule to save PJ from being cut. For whatever reason Rhule did not want Corral to see action this year. It showed in his treatment of Corral from the get go. If we end up in the top of the draft we will draft another QB and have wasted a 3rd round pick for Corral. Rhule has turned this franchise into a freaking circus.
  17. Only in your dreams, bro. As much as I would love to see it. Not a chance. 2015 was a much better them and we were the worst *** and 0 team every. (Insert 5 through 14)
  18. Saying Icky, BC, Boseman, Corbett and Moton are starters. That leaves a rookie and Elflein as our only decent players. Fortunately BC can play tackle so we have 1 option at tackle. The interior line I would say Mays is probably the next best player. Everyone liked Pleasant last week but he looked poorly last night. If we have more than two significant injuries on this line and with the depth we have we're in trouble. No matter the position.
  19. I think our starters are solid and can play with anyone. I want to mention that our 2nd team offense with PJ at the helm did get down in FG territory against NE's 1st team defense. So we have a little depth but not much. I think if we have more than two significant injuries on the offensive line we're toast. You probably can say the same thing about the defensive line. I'm excited to see our 1st team defense. I have a feeling they are going to be fun to watch.
  20. I'd don't think he is worse than Elflein or Boseman. Give the kid some 1st team reps and see what happens. He has a huge upside and will only get better with time. Than again, Rhule's our HC so Mays will be on the sideline.
  21. He didn't look great, I'll admit that. Had several bad throws but he was moving the offense. The fumble was a 1st down. We had several miscues during his time at QB. I'd like to see him with a competent line. Rhule is screwing this kid up early and it is embarrassing to watch.
  22. I'm sure there is a player that can be cut to give him a couple weeks try out.
  23. My understanding is Rhule was notorious for doing that in college. Last thing we need is changing QBs every other week.
  24. This may very well be the case. I do think that PJ is better than Sam. We are on the hook for Sam's contract no matter what. I'd rather keep PJ and let Sam walk. This gives Baker that assurance that he's the man and if he screws up they aren't going to pull him for Sam.
