I think part of this issue is that we’re realized that being above .500 is a huge win. We’ve literally settled into mediocrity.

Maybe seeing Coker out there made him realize how close a demotion really was
-
Also… how about our two rookie edge rushers vs their two (highly touted first round pick) edge rushers? At least today, you gotta be ecstatic with our draft class
-
I know he’s doing what he’s paid to do but Jaycee really living up to the contract. Deserves praise for not resting after the payday and still bringing it weekly

Seem like the logical choices to me

Scourton isn't signed (& apparently it's a thing)

Should be simple negotiating…. You want more guaranteed you get less overall money. Unfortunately the market has been set by one franchise that wanted to upend the entire system. Now pivot and react and move forward. -
Congrats to @roaringriot….. this is pretty awesome

Think of the games in Vegas, Miami, NY etc. the clientele are more worried about the trip than the actual game. Theres a market for this, we just aren’t in it. -
He’s not eddy piniero so I’m assuming he’ll be an upgrade

My best prediction depth chart after draft and udfa signings...

I assume Jonathan brooks will be on IR and will not count as a roster spot for the entire season -
Does this make everyone feel better about Morgan? a lot of chatter this week about how the panthers telegraph everything and have more leaks than a faucet. Not sure many of us saw this coming even with the late report tet was a wild card for us.

If we were a piece away I’d see us drafting a cornerstone RT with our pick this year to prepare for life without Moton. Unfortunately we aren’t that close and need to fill other holes and hope Moton continues to be serviceable for a few more years.

I’m still convinced Deonte Brown is going to turn into an all pro for us… he just needs his chance!
-
He’s Mykel Williams if you take away any highlights on the field during the year

So what is your draft strategy after today?

Daniel Jeremiah: watch what the Panthers do tomorrow
Adb6368 replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
We’ve been saying that for 25 years. Mike wahle and Ken Lucas is what the panthers get when they try to make a splash. -
Greg Olsen spoiled us. Ian Thomas was the most hated panther and he’s gone. We sign someone we drafted in a mid round to continue his development and it’s like we gave him top of the market money. This isn’t really a needle mover but definitely isn’t a horrible move.

Panther Needs and Draft Depth at Those Positions
Adb6368 replied to MHS831's topic in Carolina Panthers
We need to draft starters with our first 3 picks (and at least 2 of them need to be defense). If we want a RB find one in the later rounds. -
At this point I’ve heard this name so many times I’m almost certain that it won’t happen
-
Makes us better is key here. I don’t know if any of our picks last year definitively made us better. Just get someone that can solve 1 problem and we are making progress. then pick someone else in round 2 that will do the same. Then, crazy idea, maybe do the same thing a few more times. I know it sounds like rocket science but sometimes people overthink these things.

Tepper gets a lot of hate for things he deserves, but I don’t know I agree with the statement he is only somewhat interested in building a competitive team? If anything, he seems to be willing to do anything to build a winner even if it’s admitting horrible mistakes almost immediately.

LAST MINUTE: Panthers making a change at Stadium DJ
Adb6368 replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
@musicmanis there one song you’d always have in your back pocket that you knew would go over well? Excluding sweet Caroline which was probably low hanging fruit for a happy crowd after a victory -
Tony Pauline: Panthers like CB Will Johnson
Adb6368 replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
If the choice is the #1 CB or the 3-4th best edge then I think CB is the logical pick. I guess hunter may be cb1 but I think my position still stands even if it’s a CB2 that would be cb1 in a lot of drafts -
Josh Norris: Panthers-Garrett Wilson trade options
Adb6368 replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
I’m not sure what Mike Evans did to offend you but if we draft a WR at 8 that is Mike Evans I think everyone in Carolina would be ecstatic
