I'm going to be sad and disappointed if they pick anything other than OL. In the late 90s I took a few years off from fandom due to depressive issues. It may be that time again.

Could Cam be 2022 Taysom Hill for the Panthers?
bigskypanthersguy replied to musicman's topic in Carolina Panthers
I cannot believe we botched this whole rebuild so spectacularly. -
actually gonna be at the game tonight!

I'd look for the strongest leg in the draft. Punter or kicker. Not specifically to punt or kick in game action. Kick Rhule's fat ass the fug out of here with the quickness and as far as I have a say in it, that guy will forever have a statue outside of BOA. Make Carolina Competent Again. Kick Rhule Into The Ionosphere.

Keeping Rhule but replacing assistants
bigskypanthersguy replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
Y'know what I miss most of all? Cats ball with balls. The current crew doesn't seem to have a single spine among them outside of Cam. -
I'm just truly disappointing that this fugwit Rhule is somehow worse than the lazy versions of Fox and Rivera. When John and Ron actually cared they were actually pretty decent coaches. When they didn't...Jesus. Rhule is either too arrogant or incompetent to accept his own failures and I'm not sure which is worse. And make no mistake, in spite of the "it takes three years" mantra, he has absolutely failed.

Anti Rhule sign at Buffalo Game (Tepper)

Easily this forum's best moment. That and when we trolled a Shitsburgh pregame Facebook page with pro Carolina/anti Fixburgh sentiments. -
Rhule Backpedals on Cam Blame/Comments

I'll keep saying it. David? Fire. Rhule. Now. -
By the way, folks, the NHL Hurricanes surely wouldn't mind your support while we wait for this pigtrough of a franchise to get its act together. Let's! Go! Canes!
-
Yeah, I can't. Years of Fox and Rivera being hugely inconsistent made me not want to experience that again. Thing is, Rhulera is worse than either and is likely worsening. The patient's dead. There's no saving his tenure. Pull. The. Plug.

12/18 Game Thread: Kings vs Canes
bigskypanthersguy replied to lightsout's topic in Carolina Hurricanes
damn overnight shift made me wake up for the postgame show more or less. Seeing Bally fug up at the end a bit was hilarious. And was the first thing I saw. "LA Kings, 5, Carolina 1" something like that. I was...preturbed. Still, all went well and hopefully Thursday's game happens as we need to get revenge against those damned dirty Senators. Also, feel free to look me up if any of you hit Denver for our game in April. -
How many more losing seasons could you endure?

I get what you're saying, but holding serve with Rhule only makes sense if we were showing some signs of improvement at any level by this point in year two. We are not. There is clear regression and many suspect the players are giving up. -

Damn. Respect for sticking with this team through everything you've endured. -

It was really difficult from 2011 onwards when the Panthers and Hurricanes in Raleigh both largely consecutively sucked for years on end. So, currently I'm just focusing more on the Canes while they're good and hoping that train doesn't come to its stop any time soon. The Panthers...both teams, to me, excel most when they're the plucky underdog. We have a long road to hoe when it comes to resurrecting the Cardiac Cats persona. Purrsona? Whatever. -
Article: Watson did not want the Panthers
bigskypanthersguy replied to WarPanthers89's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yeah...drafting someone this year, regardless of who they were, likely wouldn't have worked out any better. You have to be able to protect the qb and this line can't. If they'd play Brown and Christensen at their natural positions and see what they had there we'd possibly be closer to fixing it, but, Rhulevera has to play the vets because...vets.
