  1. Elflein has been great so not going to knock it. That being said, with one game with Bozeman in, Wilks had the guys playing the brand of football Rhule had been saying he wanted his entire time here.
  2. Was always the baseline of what to expect for CMC return
  3. How is that different from normal?
  4. You get at it a bit, because it has to be the right price but I disagree. Ekwonu, Horn, Burns and maybe Moton are the only players I wouldn't move.
  5. Not always, but typically it means you're grown into who you're going to be. If you see a 21 or 22 yo there's this idea that they can still develop both physically, mentally and maybe mechanically. A 25 yo is pretty much what you see is what you get. I think that's why there's a trend of younger for 1st round picks. These COVID years kinda make it a little weird lately though. My thinking with an older prospect is not that there is necessarily something wrong, it's just I wouldn't expect anything more than what I see now.
  6. It's really probably Stroud or Young right now and that's it. If Fitterer hangs around he may still prescribe to the build the team and just eventually drop a QB into it anyway (he's said as much before). Too many turnovers from Levis reminds me of Darnold so I'd be waiting late into Day 2 not the early to mid Rd 1 he's currently talked about. He an older prospect as well. McCall's offensive scheme makes it almost impossible to judge him. That's similar to Corral so I'd take Corral's arm talent. Could think to grab McCall on Day 3 if he comes out but he's being talked about as an early Rd 2 guy currently. Richardson might have tools but no liking his play so far or the supposed mid to late Rd 1 he's being talked about as. Haven't watch the Arkansas or Wash St QBs. Haven't watched Van Dyke closely either but he almost lost his starting job. I like what I've seen so far from Hall and Penix but are both older prospects. Someone needs to talk to BYU's QB coach btw. Hooker is older too and runs a weird offense. McKee has an arm but cant move, not something that's successful in today's NFL. Maybe the Fresno St QB as they have fallen off the cliff without him, but might not see him again this season.
  7. The defense and special teams are both very good units but are being completely blocked out by a historically bad offense right now.
  8. Sean Ryan. Others are right though, the scheme is the biggest issue and would need changed
  9. McAdoo was a coaching consultant with the Cowboys last season. Maybe he's trying to incorporate some of Kellen Moore's "anti-system"?
  10. “The Ben McAdoo offense with the Giants was one of the more easily-adjusted to systems in the last decade once opposing defensive coordinators got film on it because it relied so heavily on 11 personnel (three wide receivers, one tight end, one back) and the slants/flats concept in the passing game,” Dan Schneier of CBS Sports and Big Blue Banter told The Riot Report. “If you had a WR who could win a one-on-one, it looked great — as we saw at times with Odell Beckham Jr. If you didn’t? Well, then it made the Jason Garrett Giants offense (ranked 31st in the NFL each of the past two seasons) look passable.” We don't have a WR who can win one-on-one and idk if the thought was that Moore would be able to do it, but route running and separation have never been hallmarks of his game.
  11. Very versatile player. Reggie Bonnafon type vibes.
  12. I don't understand wanting him out on the perimeter. He can't get open. Person's ideas make significantly more sense.
  13. Not a fan of the player when he came out and I'm not sure what his role would be here, but the compensation is nothing so no complaints. I'm curious what the staff has in mind for him.
  14. Khalon Tolson and Ra'shan Henry got significant signing bonuses so look for them to most likely push for a roster spot. Hartlaub got a small signing bonus a well.
  15. Walker goes 1 and Trib goes 2, after that I think the draft could get wild.
  16. Ridder getting some love he deserves. He's right about the Bama game. Will Anderson and the rest of the Bama DL outmatched Cincy's OL so badly it made it near impossible to get any usable film.
  17. Willis highest upside, Pickett highest floor, Corral best scheme fit. I'm high on Ridder too.
  18. Hamilton, no question. I'd have a hard time passing on him if there was still an OT there.
  19. That's for the team to convince them not me. Idk what moves they will make between now and then to entice top players. We aren't even sure yet if we'll have the same head coach because idk how easy it will be to lure a good OC candidate away for a potential lame duck coach. Until we've heard directly from Tepper that's still up in the air. A day 2 pick isn't necessarily a 2nd rounder, but you can trade down in the first, trade up from the fourth, trade future draft capital, trade players.
  20. Trade is more likely so should included that there too, but Rodgers and Wilson both have potential outs of their contracts. We have a GM with an affinity for trades, I imagine we'll end up with at least one day 2 pick.
  21. Best chance in one year is to use those draft picks from last season. Something like... LT Christensen LG FA - this gets experience around the youth. Bunch of solid ones can be had this offseason currently. C Draft Pick- Linderbaum day 1 or like a Dohnovan West day 2 RG Brown (ideally here but can play LG depending on FA) RT Moton QB you either land one of the studs in FA or try your luck with the rookie deal with a Pickett or Corral round 1. Or if you're looking for more run oriented, a Willis or Ridder day 2
  22. We sort of hedged our bets on the 3 trade moves: Gilmore for a 6th when he will return a 5th if he walks is just good business. The 3rd for Henderson could mostly return (most likely a 4th) a year later if DJax walks instead of Gilmore. For Darnold, we got 6th back with Teddy, the 4th from the Texans in the last draft. Only the 2nd is missing and they could decide to return it but sliding back in the first because of a weak draft class at the top. The handcuff right now is mainly the picking up the 5th year option with Darnold. That has a chance to costs draft picks too if it needs to be off the books. At this point the pick has to be OL and we should probably use a day 2 pick there too. We also need to be using these last several weeks to figure out what we have in the rookies.
