  1. I remember people in this very forum saying that Will Grier and Scarlett weren't gonna do poo in the NFL. Next time people say that you can't criticize NFL FO's because they "know better", point them to Marty Hurney.
  2. Panthers have a good shot at Arch Manning in 5 years
  3. Maybe, maybe not. But it's fair to say, based on the product on the field that they (Rhule and Tepper, jury still out on Fitt because Rhule runs the clown car) know far less than most other owners and HCs in the NFL, and that's who they're up against. That's who's trying to fleece them in trades like the fuging Jets did. Appeal to Authority doesn't work when the """""authority"""" has proven they can't walk the walk. Hell they can't even crawl the crawl.
  4. We are literally going to trade our 1st, 2nd, and 3rd rounders for Sam Darnold, some random Jags CB bust, and Kirk Cousins. Keep in mind, the Rams did that for Matt Stafford and Von Miller LMAO.
  5. Sewell was more of a "we got so close" dagger, while Slater is a "we passed on this guy who plays an important position we needed for years lol" claymore in the back.
  6. https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-pff-101-top-101-players-from-2021-nfl-season Sewell and Slater made it though, lol
  7. That feel when several teams have assistants that have better NFL chops than the Panthers HC.
  8. Hindsight is 20/20 but I would have liked to see the Panthers trade several draft picks for Joe Thomas in 2015. We would have won the SB that year TBH. Doesn't help that with the power of hindsight, our drafts after the SB really sucked. I think if you are close you trade those picks like Rams did with Von Miller. A rookie isn't helping you as much as him.
  9. It's a catch-22. Rhule could do some crazy poo that cripples the team for years, but at the same time I believe owner meddling hurts more than it helps.
  10. I agree with you, but if it takes a long time I hope Tepper takes a "throw poo at the wall and see what sticks" approach rather than "stick by regimes that are clearly flatlining" approach. Unfortunately to me, it looks like he's taking the latter.
  11. Benson bought the team in 1985 and the Saints sucked until Payton outside of a few Dome Patrol years. If it takes Tepper 21 years to find a good HC then just fug my poo up.
  12. Pegula hired Rex Ryans as his first HC. He was smart enough to fire him after two .500 seasons though, and hired McDermott from us soon after. I'm sure fans up in Buffalo were screaming that Ryan didn't have enough time to get things together like we have with Rhule on the Huddle.
  13. I was just commenting on the time gap. The gap between SB 38 and 50 seems huge, but SB 50 doesn't feel like it was 6 years ago.
  14. bruh the time gap between SB 38 and SB 50 was 12 years and it's already been 6 since SB 50.
  15. With the Panthers luck they'll be picking 2nd overall the year Arch Manning comes out.
  16. Panthers made a play for him this offseason. Safe to say he made the right choice going to LA but if he did somehow pick the Panthers, would it have gone like his Detroit years? I think they may have bumbled into the 7th seed but it would have been all over from there.
  17. yeah too many (good) freak accidents have to occur with a tepper led organization to reach the sb. i hope he sells the team.
