Bruce Young would be the smallest QB on this roster. And he would have to get used to all his offensive teammates not dominating their matchups every week. I don’t get the love here. Starting QB for the best college football program does not equal best QB prospect in college.

Stroud looks good. I see elite NFL type throws from him. It’s always tougher to evaluate though when his team is always the best team on the field. I’d be comfortable taking him for sure, even if he busts. The traits seem like they are there. When Rhule is canned, or when we get to week 8 (whichever comes first) I think it will be fun to reevaluate Corral’s film, and compare to the top prospects this year. Next coach will have Corral and another top QB prospect (most likely) that we can look forward to developing. A new coach, and basically two rookie QB’s will be intriguing to say the least.

I’d take Anderson and pair him with Burns before drafting Young.

Similar view on McAdoo. Competence would have been nice. Incontinence is what we got.

Is Tepper trying to humiliate Rhule?

Rather, the offensive play calling makes me believe Rhule is trying to embarrass Tepper. -
I think Baker has talent, but not transcendent talent. Most QB’s are like this. Put complementary pieces around them, and a solid coordinator who can scheme to the players strengths, and you can succeed. Baker can make all the throws necessary at this level, but he can’t overcome the incompetence level right now. The problem is…we watched nearly a decade of a transcendent talent at the position. We had success without big brains calling the plays. It was still obvious the playcalling wasn’t great, but he could make lemonade out of lemons all game. We don’t have that dude now, but our talent on offense is better than this poo show, and I put it all on McAdoo/Rhule. Using players the opposite way they should be isn’t Bakers fault.

Optimistic season projections were under the assumption we would be average on offense. This team is arguably 4-0 if that was the case. The defense has played their part. No one saw THIS happening. No one thought “this offense will make us dream of last years offense.”

It sucks Corral will never get his shot this year

You can’t reach these people. -
He’s a young player who naturally makes some mistakes, but his physical talent is undeniable. The deep play he gave up today he had tight coverage and was there. It’s the hardest position to be mistake free. Even the best will get beat, but if so, make the QB throw it perfectly to do so.

This is the worst panthers team in our history

This is objectively false lol. -

Should have resigned Cam and gave him a full off-season. -

Can’t wait for posts criticizing the defense after this one. They will find a way to do it. -

Love Vilma criticizing Luvu when he literally led the bountygate defense. -
I’m glad my job isn’t taking peoples words and trying to fug them with said words.

Just let the process work baby.

Don’t remember the exact carry count but thank you McAdoo for running HB dive with CMC 20-1000 times in the 4th quarter thanks love you lots.

I’m sold.

If Baker keeps performing like this a few games down the line, it isn’t silly to consider moving to Darnold. Darnold with a decent line might be the 25th best QB instead of the 32nd. And I know he is “worse with time to throw” but I do think having no time in his career broke him. Baker (and I think McAdoo even more so) is unbearable to watch right now. McAdoo not knowing how to scheme the weapons we have is brutal to watch. Man this offense is sad.

Motion is also used to cause extra steps for the defense. It adds to the probability of a miscommunication. Anything you can do to make a defender think is a plus. You want to create uncertainty and discomfort. If they have to process and think, it slows their reaction. Even at this level. And if you can create just one miscommunication, it could lead to a blown play, and 6 fuging points.

There is just so much context being left out here that we’ll just have to agree to disagree and move on.

If college stats = great tape, then Ty Detmer is a hall of famer. Again, does our “best QB” with our best players around him look competent right now? It’s just reactionary to think you can evaluate a rookie, 4th on the depth chart, in 3 quarters of preseason play his rookie year. And I agree that we take a QB round 1 next year, but that doesn’t say much about Corral, but more about a new staff wanting to evaluate and develop their own rookie. Wouldn’t you want to pick your own QB you evaluated yourself?
-
To those writing off Corral as a bust already, keep in mind that our starting QB can’t do anything surrounded by our starting offense. Let’s pump the brakes a bit. He has a tremendous amount of SEC level tape that you can view whenever you like, and let me know if you see “Grier” level talent or not.

Who was talking sh¡t about Ickey in reference to Neal?
Wundrbread33 replied to top dawg's topic in Carolina Panthers
I’ve seen enough flashes from Ickey already to know LT is locked down and it feels great. There were times when he would get his hands on Garrett and it was OVER. His punch is elite. -
It’s funny how that same logic didn’t apply to Cam last year. It’s bullsh!t.
