Fitt Says We're Done For Tonight, May Look to Move Back Up Tomorrow
Wolfcop replied to Proudiddy's topic in Carolina Panthers
I would do it for a 2nd next year and maybe a little more. -
Which network do you prefer to watch the draft?
Wolfcop replied to trueblade's topic in Carolina Panthers
I will record ESPN and watch NFL Network live. -
There are 2 options: hope for the best or find a new team. Since I am not a bandwagon fan, I will hope for the best.

Week Of: Draft Buzz, Rumors, & News (w/updates)
Wolfcop replied to davos's topic in Carolina Panthers
If the Panthers draft Picket, I will never listen to the local guys again who claim the Panthers are not that interested in him. -
We are comfortable drafting a couple QBs at 6

Trade back and get Penning and Willis? -
Those closest to the Panthers don't think that Pickett is an option. I hope they are correct.

Would love to get Ickey. The OL would be set!

Athletic mock projects NC State tackle to Panthers
Wolfcop replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
I agree with most everything except the top 3 draft for next year. This will be a better team. -
Athletic mock projects NC State tackle to Panthers

Ikey or Willis are my favorites. -
As far as I'm concerned, the Panthers have time, too. That is an example of why Rhule should have little say so in who we draft. If Fitt and the personnel folks think Willis may be a star that takes a few years to develop, you have to consider him. Again, if one of the top OTs are there, that is still the common sense approach IMO.
-
I am inclined to agree if one of the top OTs is on the board. If Icky or Neal is there, it should be a no brainer. But, I do wonder if there is discussion of going with a rookie QB AND a FA vet and hedging their bets.
-
Why would it be ideal for the Steelers if you think he will flop?
-
I want Willis. Biggest boom potential. About the JT comment, he was basically saying the Panthers are a bad team and the best QBs are drafted by the worst teams. That's no surprise.

ESPN mock draft special on right now (7pm 4-19)
Wolfcop replied to Captain Morgan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Thing is, if it is WIllis and we hit on him, you have your Russell Wilson scenario with the rookie contract for 5 years. I don't think any other QB in this draft has that high of a ceiling. -
Well, he was not technically wrong. As of this second in time, Sam IS QB1. Hopefully he will not be in September.
-
Willis has the most upside according to most. That would be the swing for the fences if they stay at 6.
-
Boy, that 2023 extra first looks enticing...BUT, I think if we have a chance to get one of the top 2 OTs, I think it is going to be hard to turn it down.

Colts get Gilmore. 2 years 23 mill. 14 guaranteed.
Wolfcop replied to NCTHFL0567's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yeah, I don't have a problem with keeping Donte. Younger and healthier over the last year or so. -
If you have a chance to get one of the top OTs, take them. Unless the trade is incredible, I am taking my franchise LT and calling it a day.

KC looking to trade up into top 10.
Wolfcop replied to DaveThePanther2008's topic in Carolina Panthers
No thanks unless they are throwing in a 1st round pick from next year, too. -
I am not worried about. Either (a) the Panthers get their pick of QBs or (b) a fantastic OT or DE falls into our lap.
-
I keep reading this narrative, but the coaching staff (minus Rhule) is pretty solid now. We will see how much a difference that makes going forward.
-
I really like Willis, but I guarantee you if the Panthers slipped this out then they are thinking about going another direction.
-
After seeing how other successful franchises "kick the can down the road", I refuse to worry about this.
