  1. While listed at OLB, I’m pretty sure I saw YGM with his hand down at the 5T. I mentioned in the off-season this, imo, is his best position and primarily on passing downs. He’s not quick enough to disrupt off the edge, but his size/speed combo can work well at 5T. Sure enough, he would have had a solo sack if Houston hadn’t arrived at the same time last night. I believe he was credited with a half sack. Good to see him contributing and hope it continues.
  2. Who told Frank9999 he could start threads around here?
  3. We’re only missing our own Tyreke/Waddle combo and innovative play calling. I’m far more concerned with the lack of weapons and the play calling than Bryce. At least I can hold onto hope that Thomas Brown will improve one of those.
  4. He threw a few bullets off platform right to the WR’s numbers last night. Remind me when any of our last three QBs did that, and it was his 2nd game as a pro. Relax
  5. Shaq’s out for a while. Grade 2 ankle inversion sprain is best case scenario. He might have broken it.
  6. I’d have lost a lot of money if someone bet me the NFCS would be undefeated against all other divisions through the first two weeks. They’ll come crashing down soon. This is still a terrible division.
  7. And Bozeman, Corbett, Woods, Icky, etc. I know it’s popular to hate on Horn at the moment, but I think he’s potentially elite (All-Pro) caliber at his position when healthy. I don’t fault Fitt for Horn’s injury misfortunes. He’s clearly a stud on the field.
  8. Our team with a brand new coaching staff and rookie QB doesn’t have an identity after Week 1? I’m shocked. RB is the only position that has been downgraded since Fitt, and many Huddlers wanted to trade CMC long before it happened.
  9. Let’s see what we have in Chark/Mingo/Theilen/TMJ/Shenault by the trade deadline. Lots of unknowns. Trading for Renfrow would make the Theilen signing pretty pointless imo.
  10. I have my eye on Rashod Bateman and his usage in Baltimore. He’s another injury-plagued WR with some upside which we clearly don’t mind targeting. If Chark doesn’t work out, we can probably get Bateman for cheap before the deadline if Flowers keeps eating into his targets. We’d have him on his rookie contract in 2024 and 5th year option available if he produces and is healthy.
  11. Bills just received his post game x-ray:
  12. How are we to feel if we deal Burns at the deadline to a team who actually has a high 1st round pick in 2024? The Rams actually looked impressive Week 1 and were without Kupp.
  13. He said Corbett, not BC. From reading, I expect Corbett will be ready to go by then or soon after.
  14. Ouch on Brady I was one who was intrigued by Strachan in the lead up to his draft. I’m happy he’s on the practice squad.
  15. I don’t think trading Horn when his stock has bottomed out due to injuries is the best idea.
  16. Good deal on Branch. Tough break for the Lions at LT. Their line was impressive.
  17. Feeling good about my LaPorta and Brian Branch pre-draft wish list. Hope Branch is ok as non-contact injuries are never good. I didn’t see if he came back in.
  18. I like two things about incentivizing the contracts: 1) knowing we’ll be paying a more appropriate amount based upon on-field performances if thresholds aren’t met, and… 2) still giving players some monetary bonuses to strive for excellent performance after big pay days.
  19. If it's ~28mil as Hampton's tweet suggests, I hope it's "up to 28 million" based on incentives. ~$23-24mil base would be great.
  20. Horn on Pitts? I was thinking that will be Chinn’s match up and Horn will shadow London, if anyone.
  21. I’d love to see you explain your stance that Fitt has downgraded every position but one. That’s way off imo.
  22. We’re calling his bluff because while Burns is holding cards that say he’s our best defensive player, he’s betting as if he’s the league’s best defensive player. Maybe he can be a few years from now. He’s not that yet though.
  23. If you hold out for a contract, then you feel confident in what you deserve based on your on-field performance. Based on the performances Burns has put forth to date, and factoring in his youth and our declining of the Rams trade offer, I believe he’s elevated to ~5th in edge rusher rankings. If he is paid accordingly, his APY should be ~$24mil. If he’s wanting $26+, I believe he should show he deserves it on the field.
  24. Dalton being the backup is to best develop our most important asset - Bryce.
