Panthers met with Hooker per report
Kentucky Panther replied to raleigh-panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
He’s not my top choice but I’d definitely rather have him over Richardson or Hooker. Most people that do this for a living agree. -
Panthers met with Hooker per report

This. People harp on Levis for his age but this guy is a full year older. He also hasn’t had his leg torn up. More brilliance from the Huddle QB screening process. -

Thanks. I would take that any day of the week. Crazy touch -

Thanks but that didn’t answer my question -

What’s his arm strength like? I’ve heard everything from he can make every throw to he doesn’t have a big arm. I guess both of those can be true at the same time. I haven’t heard much about him having a cannon, though. -
I have no doubt the Panthers are interested in Carr. We sign him and we are immediately the favorites in the division for the foreseeable future. Best QB, best coach, and best defense. It seems we are letting the more desperate teams take their shots first, and I think that is a smart move. Let someone else make a mistake by overpaying. Im in on this guy for the right price.

The Athletic names the top coaching hires for this cycle

Haven’t heard much from the Wilks fanboys lately. Glad they are finally on board with this hire and the amazing staff he’s put together -
This was my first thought as well

Poll: What do you want Panthers to do for QB?
Kentucky Panther replied to NAS's topic in Carolina Panthers
My choices in order: Trade up to 3, grab the QB they like the best out of who’s available. Trade up to 1, go ahead and give up the farm and get exactly who they want. Sign Carr, draft BPA at 9. I don’t want us to sit at 9 and take the leftovers from the QB spot. Last option for me. -
Wonder what the timeline is on this
-
We were talking about the Jets not the Panthers. I don’t want him
-
I’d rather go rookie QB at 9 like most of you, but Carr is better than Cousins. He’d be quite a big upgrade over the QBs we’ve had since 17-18 Cam.
-
Wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world if we signed him. Grab a stud WR or Edge at 9 instead of QB.
-
Trash organization. I’m one that generally thinks we should go draft instead of vet for QB, but I wouldn’t hate signing Carr. I think the Raiders did him dirty and he will prove to be above average in his new location
-
Great hire. We are going places with this staff.
-
Reports are Green Bay would prefer to trade him but I don’t think he’s made up his mind. Who knows with that guy. But he’s threatened to retire for like 5 years now and ends up playing for the Packers. Just a guess.
-
I think the Jets are being slept on with Carr. A lot of people think that’s where Rodgers ends up, but my money is he stays in Green Bay for another year.

Gonna be a long off season. I basically live two different lives. Football season and not football season.

I have wondered the same thing
-
I know a lot of us wanted him, including myself after Ben Johnson was out. Will be interested to see how Indy does next year under him.

Didn’t see a thread yet, figured I would start one to get the discussion going early. I am excited for this game, but also excited to officially start next season once it’s over. Frank Reich has been assembling an all star staff in Carolina, and I think we could surprise a lot of people next season depending on what we do with the QB spot. That said, who do you guys have winning this one? Who are you pulling for? I personally can’t stand Philly sports teams and obviously their fans, so I’m pulling for the Chiefs. Mahomes gets number two, 31 - 27. I think it’ll be a pretty fun game.
-
I would like to believe even the strongest of the Wilks supporters would be happy with how things have unfolded. We have the best staff we’ve probably ever had.
-
I think he’d be the fourth or fifth prospect in this draft. Right before or right after Richardson.
