DJ Moore graded out as the 24th best WR according to PFF
GoobyPls replied to GoobyPls's topic in Carolina Panthers
What’s the grade???? This has nothing to do with eye test, that’s a 70 yard TD with Rodgers throwing it to Moore. And since your apparently a pff subscribers did Adams get a higher grade on this play where all he did was run straight with little separation but Rodgers threw a perfect pass. Than Moore did on this play where he had to come back for the ball even though he had his man beat. -
DJ Moore graded out as the 24th best WR according to PFF

First off no it’s not, and according to who????? Teams have their own analytics department, who watch a hell of a lot more tape than pff. Tell me how pff how is more qualified than Warren Sharp, or QBr, next gen, Cian Fahey, pro football reference, football outsiders ext... Cause Colinsworth got behind them and gave them the media boost? Is that why? -

How is it apple and oranges???? Teams look for every advantage. Teams don’t lean on pff. -
DJ Moore graded out as the 24th best WR according to PFF

The problem with a lot of people is that they don’t understand or watch football and lean on stuff like pff which gives zero context. People also assume pff has some sort of computer doing these grades. All these grades are given out by former internet sports bloggers with biases watching the film once and then determining wether that play was positive or not and determining wether the play call intended that or not, or if the defenses is playing prevent or not, just so much goes into it, it’s impossible. They give positive grades for garbage time numbers for fug sakes -

Nfl franchises also use any/y, pro gamblers, other analytics guys like Warren Sharp ext... doesn’t mean much -

No he’s not, Adams gets perfectly placed football by the mvp. DJ had to make circus catches every time Teddy threw deep -
It's not like Ginn is world beater, Ginn got beat out by a rookie John Brown in Arizona and he wasn't a first round pick. Kelvin beat out every reciever on the roster his rookie season also. DE might be a little tricky since we brought back Johnson and Rivera likes his vets and Addison and Alexander are still there.

Corey Coleman will be the first or second receiver off the board, it's a pipe dream I don't get how Hunter Henry is a 1st rounder? His game tape was decent at best and most mocks have him going on the 2nd or 3rd round. And what's the point of drafting Henry if everyone knows Stewart will still get the majority of carries. If your gonna use "the future" argument why not wait for next years draft? Same me can be said for wanting another DT.

Panthers NFL Draft Wide Receiver Prospects
GoobyPls replied to Jeremy Igo's topic in Carolina Panthers
Dorsett came from a pro style offense, Shepard is from a crazy college offense that played in the Big 12. So I doubt he gets drafted as high as Dorsett -

Carolina Panthers will target offense in round one

Star was an area of need and the majority of mock drafts had us picking him or Sheldon Richardson, same goes for Kelvin Shaq came out of left field -

I'm crossing my fingers someone drafts Henry before it's our turn to pick. We have picked a RB in what? 4 straight drafts all which have barely contributed. If we do draft a RB let it be someone like Kieth Marshall or Kenyan Drake a speed back who can return kicks. -
If YOUR gonna be the grammar police in a forum were have the people are half assing more power to you. You keep making these assumption that Norman's career is all down hill from here, how the hell can you be so sure when I just gave 4 examples of guys who all played well in there 30s. And no Revis and Ty Law were not great athletes they have always been more technically sound than anything else. Offensive coordinators are gonna study him? Wtf So are you saying after giving up ZERO TD in 2014 NFL OC weren't taking notice of him until now? Really? The Giants changed their entire game plan when they went against Norman, they had Beckham coming out of the backfield, The Falcons used Julio as the Y receiver when he usually plays X when the face Norman. Last year our pass rush was so bad Norman was the main one keeping our D afloat especially when Luke was out. And no reconstructing a contract usually means more guaranteed money which is better for the cap

Why are you making broad statement on a player that has been great for us the last two season while getting paid peanuts? Your gonna predicts a man's future I'm gonna give a smart ass response Norman is part of the elite tier of corners and most elite tier corners play at a pro bowl if not all pro level in there 30s Champ Bailey, Woodson, Ty Law now Revis. Norman's game was never based on athleticism so the chances of him burning out early seem a little far fetched And like I said we can always reconstruct his deal if his talents diminish, its not the end of the world.
-
Brink of Decline? If you can see the future please tell me the lotto numbers. Norman is just starting to peak, there have been plenty of CB who have played at an all pro level after their 30s. You can strongly make a case our back 7 were the ones holding this defense together , outside of Short our front four was mediocre for the majority of the season. And yes if Star continues to suffer injury after injury and getting off to slow starts I would be willing to part ways to keep Norman. FYI We can always reconstruct Normans contract as the years pass
-
Do you have amnesia? Our pass rush was terrible for the first half the season, we went 3 games without a legit sack. Norman still shut down his side of the field. In all honesty I would rather resign Norman over any D linemen. Finding a lockdown corner is damn near impossible in today's game. There are only 3 guys in the nfl considered shutdown corners and Norman is one of them

Is Kony Ealy the next great Panthers defensive end?
GoobyPls replied to Jeremy Igo's topic in Carolina Panthers
Outside of Peppers have we had any other great DE's? Johnson and Hardy were good, I think Ealy can be as good as those 2. -
Keep in mind coming into week 10 I believe, Wilson had 9 td and 7 int

what time is the game? NFL.com says 4:30 yet I keep hearing 3:30 from other places -
Why do people use PFF as some sort of legitimate source? Their grading system is retarded Apparently the O-line did good even though Cam was getting his arm hit every other pass, and they deduct those points on Cam's grade,
