  1. We SHOULD be completely open to several positions to draft. When you draft in the top 10, you have to get that pick right. So it is significantly more important to get an impact player, than to get a player at a specific position (within reason). Both Hamilton and Thibodeaux give me pause. But other teams may be willing to jump up for them, particularly to get in front of the Giants. So, if the trade is fair, and we can pick up extra value, We should look to move down. Especially if the top tackles are gone. No QB in this draft is worth a top 15 pick, much less a top 6 pick.
  2. This is the 2nd best play. The best play would be going after Gardner Minshew.
  3. Finesse pass rushers with a lean build don't have a great track record in the NFL. See Barkevious Mingo, Dion Jordan, Charles Harris, Taco Charlton, Vic Beasley (outside of rookie year), Shane Ray, and Aaron Maybin. Or even...ugh... Everette Brown. So... No thanks. The fact that he was also seen as the potential number 1 pick and is now seen as a candidate to perhaps drop out of the top 5-10, gives me pause as well. It's never a good sign when the more someone looks at you, the less they like you.
  4. I'll be honest. He reminds me of Roman Harper. That's all I could see when watching him play. He has a very stiff upper body, which worries me if he is playing deep.
  5. Agreed. Robby Anderson should not be a Panther next year. We can find someone to give us a 3rd for him.
  6. Overvalue? In a passing league, you can't overvalue the worth of a pass rusher with his ability. The issue is that the coaching staff wants him to be a down lineman every down when he should be used more like Reddick (moved around, standing up, hand down, drop into coverage, etc.) With our team, we should have been playing more 3 fronts than we were. We could have then easily adjusted the front based on offensive formation. Fox kicks inside, Burns or Reddick puts their hand down. Gross-Matos --- Brown --- Fox Reddick --- Thompson --- Carter --- Burns
  7. There isn't a quarterback in the draft that is remotely in the same class as Burrow. Not saying that one or two of these guys can't get there in a couple of years, but right now? Hell no. It's a crap shoot. Corral has the drive/mentality Ridder has the tools/build Willis has the arm strength Howell has the consistency Pickett has the playmaking ability But none of these guys has it all wrapped up in one package. Whoever drafts one of these guys better have a damn good OC, QB coach, and a veteran QB to learn from.
  8. Finding a way to acquire a 2nd 1st round pick next year from a team that is likely to not make the playoffs.
  9. He is a fiery leader and has a very quick release. The obvious negatives are size and the RPO offense. While I really like him, he would need a year on the bench if he came here. We don't have the line to protect him and he needs a year of NFL conditioning and learning the NFL game. But the kid has a ton of heart and he has the tools to succeed in the NFL.
  10. I've watched the draft and studied on prospects for years. I'm no professional, obviously, but I do feel like I have a knack for identifying more successes than failures. So with that said, ignore this or don't, your choice. It's all up for discussion, but I will update this as I evaluate different position groups and reassess after the combine, Pro-Days, etc. Thought it might provide a bit of fun for myself and others. So without further ado... First up? QBs QB - Such a terrible class. Like, possibly one of the worst in 20 years. Only a few guys even show any potential to play any meaningful snaps in the NFL and stand a chance. 1. Matt Corral - Ole Miss 2. Sam Howell - UNC 3. Kenny Pickett - Pitt 4. Desmond Ridder - Cincinnati 5. Malik Willis - Liberty
  11. Honestly what was more concerning was how CMC absolutely torched him in the passing game. CMC got separation of 5 yards every time Simmons was supposed to cover him. For a guy that is already a safety/linebacker tweener, you should at least be able to cover. And he looked awful.
  12. Trent Scott seems to be a guy they keep coming back to.
  13. Why would we do this? I'm not giving anything up for Mack. He's a good back, but I'm not spending any assets to get a runningback.
  14. Love Phantasm. Especially Phantasm II
  15. Night of the Demons (1988), Fright Night (1985), Slither, Shaun of the Dead, Return of the Living Dead
  16. The Cowboys are not a great team. They have some pieces, but they are flawed. But if we can shut down their offense like we did the Saints? It would get us more recognition.
  17. He has been in the league for 4 years and is a free agent 3 games into the season. He must not be very good.
  18. This was an amazing trade. Not to mention that we essentially get Henderson and Horn together for 3-4 years on rookie deals.
