  1. The vast majority of QB rooms consist of one starter and one to three guys that you hope never see the field.
  2. Some of those will clear up once we're down to a regular season roster limit. The Panthers are going to want that settled quickly though. There's jerseys to sell.
  3. NAS is right though. Darnold is pretty much in the same boat. I'd say Mayfield is a capable enough starter that even if he's running a stripped down system, he should play.
  4. Or like, twenty plus lawsuits maybe... Nah, that's too farfetched
  5. Do we? I know that's the official story but I think reality is that barring injury or something crazy, the starting job belongs to Mayfield. As far as the rest, I agree Rhule won't want to let go of PJ Walker. This year, that probably means practice squad.
  6. Bayless is full of sh-t but he's far from the only person saying the Panthers are terrible right now. Are they? Arguably yes but a change at head coach likely fixes it.
  7. Hekker has that unless Mayfield buys it off him. The only other numbers currently available in the quarterback range are #13 and #1.
  8. From what I remember of that movie, it'd be way more than just PETA and the ASPCA coming after them
  9. Can't see that at all given the financials... And no, PJ is awful.
  10. Some are speculating that Garoppolo could end up traded to the Browns. Don't think anybody sees him going to the Seahawks, for certain. Obviously the Panthers are out, so there's not much in the way of other choices left.
  11. As a guy with nine parakeets, that one doesn't work so well for me (granted, one of em bit me on the ass a couple of days ago)
  12. Nope...or not much of one at least. Panthers QB Davis Cheek
  13. John's started his film study. Always get good info from these...
  14. Was dating this girl many years ago, went to meet her parents for the first time. They invited me to have dinner at their house. Playing in the background on their living room TV? That movie. Right as dinner is being served...that scene. Yikes!
  15. "...just not at our practice facility" Ouch... And yeah, if I'm the Seahawks I probably am taking a look at just how little it took to trade for him and wondering "what if". I mean...Geno Smith? Drew Lock? Oy!
  16. On that front, here's a "string theory" type observation... Let's say Rhule is fired. THE OL coach for the Browns over Mayfield's last two seasons was Bill Callahan. Callahan's son Brian is said to have a good chance at becoming an NFL head coach in the coming years. Mind you, there's no guarantee Mayfield stays here beyond this season. Nor is it known what type of relationship he and Callahan have... ...but hey, it's a thought
  17. Williams had been on board with trading for Mayfield pretty much from the get-go...
  18. Side Note: Outside of Mayfield trading something to Johnny Hekker for number 6, they are only two potential "quarterback" numbers currently available on the roster. One of them is #13. The other...is #1
  19. I mean realistically, even if Mayfield doesn't turn out to be great, it's not like we gave up a lot to get him. Hell, we gave up less for Mayfield than we did for Sam Darnold or even Matt Corral.
