  1. He’s one of those guys that was mocked late a month ago that will go much earlier like Claypool to the Steelers last year. Given the weird year last year and no combine, I’ll bet there will be quite a few of those risers.
  2. I’ve done a couple mocks lately where Sewell and Slater are both gone by 8. Would you guys against trading back be more likely to want to trade back if that happened?
  3. Totally agree there will be lots of surprises- guys we thought would be much later, and some guys falling. That taking a year off thing will affect a bunch of choices in my opinion.
  4. OL- Leatherwood, Mayfield, Dickerson, Humphrey, Meinerz, Radunz, Davis, Cosmi CB- Stokes, Melifonwu, Newsome, Campbell LB- Collins, Davis, Cox WR- Moore x2, Marshall,Toney, Bateman QB - Mills Wildcards- Grant, Moehrig, Barmore,
  5. They have us taking: 1. Slater 2. Trask 3. Hunter Long
  6. Lots of these red areas could be addressed in the draft except probably DT due to the week class. Even better chance with trade back(s). Sewell/Slater/Darrisaw in 1st Joseph/Melifonwu/Gowan/Adebo/Campbell in 2nd Meinerz/Banks/Smith/ Green in the 3rd Felton/Schwartz/Newsome/Shi Smith/ 4th (or Philyor later) Wilson/Odighizuwa/ 5th Jackson/ Ball/Van Lanen OT BPA something like this if no trade down:
  7. So how many of the top 100 prospects do you think could legitimately start for us next season? If we traded back once or twice (if we had partners I know) and could add top 100 picks, could we possibly get 4-5 starters or significant contributors and would that be worth it? I think we could easily get Two OL starters and two DBs at least. Not sure if that’s more of a commentary on our current talent, or value in the draft
  8. Agree. Positional value PLUS impact on your team should influence the pick. BPA could be a redundancy on our team and thus minimize impact for us. There are quite a few small, quick slot guys available in later rounds
  9. Waddle has had an amazing college career and would be fun to watch here- but I can’t help being reminded of Ted Ginn having a similar college career and being drafted in the top 10 by Miami...... Very talented but limited impact as a pro. This is where positional value affects my thinking. We always assume these top guys are “can’t miss” yet many of them do. I think Jimmy Johnson liked to have extra picks to increase his chances of hitting on players, plus, we need a lot more players. I would be ok with trading back to increase our number of top 50 picks or even get a 1st in 22.
  10. Emailed and called to see why there was no “we value our fans” junk with a letter from the team mailed out this year. Received two call backs but no explanation.
  11. Or trade back with Dallas and add a 4th:
  12. I’ve always been a fan of trading back but when I do the mocks, if you wait past the teens, you can get a good OT prospect or an RT, but not someone guaranteed to start at LT. I also like Darrisaw as LT2. So Sewell or Darrisaw at 8. Still good CB available at 39, then OL at 73. I’m also warming to the idea of trading back at 39 if an offer is available.
  13. Interesting. Don’t mind Hill but it seems early for him. NFL.com has him as sixth best C. Dickerson or Meinerz maybe?
  14. Much more excited. Now we can use 8 on an immediate contributor, or trade back a bit and get multiple contributors. Darnold has talent but hope hasn’t been ruined by the Jets.
  15. Unless they’re trading CMC I think drafting an RB, especially that early, is a waste. Also not sure why we’d draft two WR or Ehlinger
  16. Love the trade down idea. If you can trust the mock sites, going to 21 or 22 can get us a first in 2022 as ammo for next year QB possibly, and an extra 4th. 22- Teven Jenkins OT 39- Eric Stokes CB 73- Mond/Mills QB (so we don’t have to live through another Teddy season) 114- Ben Cleveland IOL 127- Demetric Felton RB/WR 152- JaCoby Stevens S 194- Bryce Thompson CB 223- Naquan Jones DT 226-Israel Mukuamu CB/S
  17. Who knows what really happens, but I think we need OT and CB in the first two rounds (assuming we don’t reach for a QB). In the mocks I’ve done, it seems like there is better value at CB than OT in the second. So I’d say Sewell/ Slater in 1st, Newsome/Stokes/Campbell/Joseph in the 2nd. Then still good IOLs available in the 3rd.
  18. Rhule was probably there to see Pitts, but more likely later round talent like OT Forsythe, or WR Grimes
