A lot of this depends on the type of offense that the Panthers run because teams that air it out and score a lot of points and/or don't have long drives, impacts the defensive stats.

This narrative completely changes if Derrick Brown has an All Pro year and I think this is a real possibility. Last year he had a ton of pressures and just didn't convert those to sacks. Pressure up the middle is much more disruptive than pressure on the outside.

Yes we overpaid but with a rookie QB, we needed a stud RB. If we overpaid by a couple million, who cares if Miles is the right guy and he'll be one of the few RBs that is happy with his contract and ready to run through a brick wall. The cap is so big these days and we are way ahead of everyone with a rookie QB contract.

False - Cam made a business decision to not dive on the fumble and admitted this in an interview.

It is a team sport and while I don't solely blame Kasey, his mistake shifted the momentum. I feel the same way about Cam not diving on the fumble.

I offshore fish and use to spearfish. I don't spearfish for this very reason because the sharks know the sound of a spear and it attracts them. No thank you.

I live at the beach and go to the beach just about every weekend. Current is no joke and I rarely go into the ocean past my knees. I've been caught in a riptide before and it is scary stuff. Also, sharks are everywhere.

Offensive support cast ranked 31st in the league
jtm replied to panthers55's topic in Carolina Panthers
And Hurst is not a bust . . . that is nonsense. He's productive at the position on team that has a ton of other offensive weapons. He'll be relied on in Carolina and this will be his chance to see if he can handle the load or if he's just a guy. -
Offensive support cast ranked 31st in the league

I think Miles Sanders is the only offensive playmaker that opposing defensive coordinators are worried about. Definitely not close to CMC type of worry, but they are paying attention to Sanders. Everyone else is either unproven or age is not in their favor. We have a young guys that have tons of potential, but so does every other team in the NFL. The truth hurts sometimes. -
Exclusive first look at Panthers updated jerseys
jtm replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Our uniforms have always been one of the best in the NFL. I'm glad the changes are subtle and they didn't go Jacksonville crazy with the uniforms. -

I can't imagine David Tepper being a boss that is fun to work for. -
I don't think we'll lose many coaches that are performing because I think Tepper will just pay them to stay.

My vote is WR/TE for sure. This group will be boom or bust this year and let's hope for BOOM!

Can we please stop talking about his height. Good grief it is getting old.

Lots of xfl stars can’t even make nfl rosters. I wish him the best and hopefully he’s the exception to this
-
He’s a stud but can’t stay healthy
-
Appears to be a good kid and nice guy. Very poised

Corral is about to get a hard lesson because I doubt anyone trades for him so he might be lucky to be on an active roster this year for any NFL team. He certainly didn't provide much on tape in his limited action to justify a roster spot.

Remove the name and his stats the past two seasons do not warrant the hype. He's a number 2 receiver on any team these days. Parriss Campbell is a much better move for the Panthers and likely much cheaper.

In my opinion, Jackson's injuries are similar to CMC's injuries but for different reasons. We all know CMC would not have missed all those games because of injuries if we were competing for the playoffs or something relevant. Jackson would not have been injured as much if he had a long-term contract.
