Too many holes that I'm not sure we can plug. Just an awful showing against a mediocre team at best.

I stopped watching at the lightning delay. How did they do?

in all fairness there's more to slobber over him than anything i've seen from this CAR team. can't blame them for talking about a team with better prospects than CAR has or ever will. -

it's more evident than ever. bryce young has never started off strong and seemingly gets worse each starting year. kind of obvious now young was helped last with teams who didn't particularly care about the meaningless games. this culture that we have right now is abysmal. just absolute malpractice of personnel decisions ever since we've moved on from Cam Newton. -

I want Bryce to succeed and live up to his draft position. I'm just frustrated we've seen this middling Bryce far too often during season starts, and for what we've given up to draft him, I'd like him to be a settled top notch starter in the league, not a "maybe he'll be top tier in a decade." Sunk cost fallacy is at play here, and if Young doesn't show out consistently, it's time to move on. -

Bryce's ultra super microchip AI processing on full display. Why run for the easy first down when you can throw right into triple coverage! -
Imagine if we had though. There's no way we would've kept Gano if we drafted a guy like that.

Cam Newton is surprisingly a decent commentator. The rest of this pre-game though, pure brainrot cringe.

Bryce Young still hasn’t shown he can open a season on the right foot. While he’s proven he can close strong, my expectations for these early weeks remain low until he demonstrates otherwise. He does get a relatively soft matchup against the Jaguars, so hopefully he shows signs of putting the early-season struggles behind him, but I’m not overly optimistic just yet. Doesn't help he barely had any preseason reps. We'll see.

I came across an interesting and rather unusual take from former Panthers running back Mike Davis about his ex-teammate Christian McCaffrey. On the “Raw Room” podcast, Davis described his time in Carolina playing behind McCaffrey as a “blessing” overall. But then the tone switched as he threw in this sharply worded critique: McCaffrey was “selfish as hell” for how much playing time he hogged. Don't believe me? Here’s what Davis specifically said: He recalled how even when McCaffrey had a bruised foot, Davis expected to see some action—only to watch McCaffrey stay on the field the entire game. He keeps piling on and on, just flabberghasted at McCaffrey's selfishness for staying in the game despite his touched. Quite the interesting podcast, lol. Here's the article as reference: https://sports.yahoo.com/article/49ers-christian-mccaffrey-selfish-hell-165032755.html

I'd like to see Mike Remmers get a shot at starting for RT. Can't imagine he'd be that much worse than Chandler, right?

6 wins is what I'd expect best case. Some decent consistency from offense finally paying off, but I suspect that not much will help overcome a rather lackluster defense with middling depth. Evero fired midseason resultingly.

Yeah Plummer needs to never see an NFL field again. Dear god -

Coaching seems improved with Canales and co taking over. Plummer trying to put guys into hospitals aren't helping lol. At this point trade him for Richardson and a bag of peanuts or something. -

Letting conversions on 3rd and long and 2 and forever is quite peak modern day Carolina defense -
It's preseason. Theoretically we shouldn't be concerned as teams essentially use that as an extension of practice rather than focusing on winning. However, this is the modern era Carolina Panthers, and their past preseason performances were in fact an indicator of how the year would go. Thus far, nothing has been done to disprove that pattern. So we'll see. Likely another middling season if this performance is what we are to expect versus any half decent team. I'm not holding out hope that I'll be pleasantly surprised.

Man haven't seen a guy in a Panthers jersey running routes and catching like TMac has in a long while
-
Well at least there's some passion lol. Not smart passion, but at least he's not nonchalant. Would rather see that than the complacency with himself he said he had last season
-
It's been too long since the defense was able to get any semblance of consistent pressure. It's encouraging to see some more effort even if it's against the Browns' redshirts.
