This past season, it was said there were several coaches who wanted to bench Young and play Dalton. This idea was rejected by whomever was in charge but one would have to say it was Fitterer and Tepper. Since the HC, QB coach and RB coach were fired it is assumed they were part of the coaches that wanted Young benched. It was said that Tepper demanded that they fix Young last year and when it did not happen he fired them. I hope Tepper is not setting up the new HC for failure by basing his success on if he can fix Young. The Panthers need to start winning with Young or without Young. So yes, there needs to be a plan B.

Tepper needs to be patient. This team has a serious lack of talent and it is going to take time. If Tepper starts meddling it will only set the team back even further. The weekly sit down meetings need to end so the coach can do his job. Frank gave us an inside the tent look in his final days of how Tepper is. The Rhule years set this team back in many ways. Frank never had a chance. Let’s hope Canales is provided the players and time needed to be successful. And let’s hope they bring in some QB competition so that if Bryce is not “it” we don’t have to watch another season like the last one.

If Tepper did not make the decision than I am for it.

He is now my #1 HC candidate. This team is soft and doesn’t know how to win. They need a complete culture change. Vrabel would establish a tough no nonsense team and establish an identity. There is no way he puts up with meddling owner. I think he and Morgan could be a promising team.

Why would Nicole Tepper be involved in a coaching search? Our beloved owner is clueless on how to run an NFL team.

There is a big reason why the Panthers have gotten worse each year since 2018. They’ve had multiple coaches, GM’s, QB’s and players yet each year it is worse. The common denominator is the owner. If he continues to do his well documented meddling and influencing it really doesn’t matter who the new GM or HC is. The results will be consistently bad.

Win or lose I am impressed by how Stroud is handling the pressure.

Tepper wants to hire someone he can intimidate and push around. Harbaugh, Belicheck and other very experienced HC would not put up with Teppers meddling and temper tantrums.

Be prepared to be looking for a new HC 12-months from now

Richardson era: 4 HC in 23 years: Capers, Seifert, Fox and Rivera. Elmer Fudd era: 4 HC in 5-years. Rivera, Rhule, Frank and the next one he fires. I predict there will be many more offseasons similar to the past two where finding a new HC is more interesting than watching the Panthers play football. My hopeful prediction: He finally gives up and sells the team.

Maybe even a tougher sell than selling Bryce is convincing the new HC candidate that he can run his program without interference from Tepper. The entire Frank fiasco does not help this interview process and sends red flags. If there was any doubt about the type of owner Tepper is, I would say all doubt was removed that he is a meddling owner and an extremely difficult person to worth for.

I was just thinking that we should be watching Burns playing for the Rams right now.

I think Duce will play a part of Johnson not being the HC of the Panthers.

The Panthers picked the “Gabbert” instead the “Cam Newton” in the 2023 draft. What an expensive mistake.

Whoever the HC is, Tepper needs to stop the weekly sit down meetings and let man coach his team. We also don't need Nicole Tepper helping out with the offensive line or other areas of concern as it appeared to be this year. Way too much involvement from the Teppers.

If Morgan does get it I hope he maintained his LB mentality and tells Tepper to pound sand when he butts in. I think Tepper needs someone who is not afraid of him and is comfortable with confrontation.

DJ was the best Panthers WR since 89….and they traded him.

Tepper will probably want the new HC to sign a per game contract vs a 3-4 year contract.
