  1. No where does the OP compare where the Panthers rate compare to the rest of the league.
  2. Position isn't a priority. Can't fix stupid.
  3. The best thing about Terrace, is we don't need him to be a starter this year. Don't get me wrong, I believe he'll line up primarily outside. With Moore and Anderson, going to be difficult to defend them all.
  4. Division rivals. We don't play anybody else enough for there to be a significant rivalry outside of the Division. Atlanta straight up owns us in the wins/loses column. The Saints have always been a thron since Brees. The Bucs have won 2 championships, yet they are one of the most inconsistent teams in out division. So for me, it's Always going.to be Atlanta and whomever the divisional champion is.
  5. Better than not doing anything at all. Guess you'd prefer it that way.
  6. Off the top of.my head.... Farve. Brees. Jake delhomme. That's without going through the history of the NFL. ANYWAYS, you're take seems a lot more than long odds.
  7. I never once said there are a lot of examples of it working. You won't find them in a league that often can't be patient enough for these young guys to properly develop. That doesn't mean it can't happen. Just gotta do your homework on the kid, and hope he can unlearn the bad habits he had on his old team when they had a musical oline in front of him, and a lack of consistent talent around him in general. You know as well as I do everything I have said here is truth. Yes, the Panthers are bucking the odds. No question. They like their chances, and if you end up being right, they grab another QB to plug into the talented team they are assembling. At least the team isn't sitting on its ass and waiting for the perfect guy to fall to us, because that poo NEVER happens!!
  8. I get it, you don't like the odds. You're also not willing to put your mouth anywhere bit in the past. Very hard to move forward that way. If he fails for us, so be it. You'll be able to say you were right, and I was wrong. Until then I'm looking forward to seeing him play here. I love his talent, and natural leadership. I can see why the team is moving forward with him, even if you can't.
  9. A lot of successful NFL qbs were busts then.
  10. So the Jets, whom have been going through head coaches like most people go through underwear. Because the new HC wanted his own QB, and chose to move on, he was a bust. Got it. Pointless talking with you any further on this subject.
  11. I believe judging Sam to be a bust at this point is pre mature. You obviously feel differently with little as support outside of his time with the Jets.
  12. If anybody feels Sam's style of ball is losing, then it's obvious ya have paid attention much.
  13. It's easier to say Sam will fail. Why? Because he didn't succeed with the Jets. Had he succeeded, we wouldn't even have this opportunity to see what he can do for us, which IS a different situation. He was highly successful in College, but that doesn't support the negative narrative that is the easy embrace. So if your not comfortable thinking the he will grow, then don't. While it's lazy thinking, I get it.
  14. I doubt that you care if you end up being wrong. To concerned about beating a dead horse, to be positive about anything. You are getting to the point where I include you in the people on this board that never have anything to say that is worth reading.
  15. If the writer of the piece had a clue, there might be something worth talking about.
  16. Dates back to the cba before 2020.
  17. So evidently you missed my point. Picking up his option is a low risk investment for the team that is committing to Sam for more than just one season. There would have been no other time to extend afterwards that wouldn't cost more. If he bombs, he bombs, and we move on. Something tells me he will play both seasons for us. If I'm wrong, so be it. Either way it's cheap investment on what could be getting our franchise QB.
  18. Then we'd have our franchise QB. What's the issue there?
  19. The reason to pick up Sam's option is it’s cheaper than not doing it. You fans that don't believe in the Sammy experiment will never accept it. The team believes in Sam. They have invested in him for the next 2 seasons. It's smart to sign his option because if he plays half as well as they expect him to, extending him after the fact would cost more. It's just that simple. Basic math.
  20. With as much draft capital we've gained, we haven't lost anything to have our current QB. Move on already.
  21. I personally don't care what happens to Fields. Doesn't affect our team in any way.
  22. Prays for a long term solution to be found soon. God Bless
