It’s confirmed, our owner is micromanaging the operation or the front office/coaching staff has absolutely no ability to evaluate talent. Just when you think we couldn’t get any worse, we make some stupid move with trades, salary mismanagement and keeping/signing FA’s. We don’t know what he’s getting in NIL money, like I said earlier, if was that hard up for money he’d be elsewhere. How much of picks/FA’s were based on Rhules pull is still unknown. But, I hate the way Fitts moves up and down the draft board and trades away picks for JAGS. But the biggest elephant in the room is trading up for Corral, while saying they had a first round grade on him. I was sure we had traded up for Howell when the trade was announced. I’d like to see a spreadsheet of picks given and cap space/dead money we’ve accumulated trying to find QB1. Hopefully Bryce works out or we’re in deep trouble…

The key comparison is we lost with Cam and Bryce in their first starts. But yeah, great point that Cam had 2 potential HOF targets to throw too.

They had .7 yds per play more than we did, that one long pass to Pitts gave them that advantage. I mean seriously, when was the last time you heard a coach at a press conference talk about cleaning up yards per play?

Yards per play is like completion percentage, doesn’t impact the game like turnovers and penalties does, especially on the road with a first time starter under center.

Did Bates even move on the 2 picks? Looks like he was reading the QB’s eyes. Don’t get me wrong, they were on target for completions but an adjustment/coaching should’ve happened after the first pick, Bates just camped out in the middle of the field and we never adjusted. Maybe if we had let Bryce and the offense practice running these secret plays in the preseason would’ve helped, who knows?

In my 14 years here, I’ve never seen a guy try so hard at trolling and fail miserably.
