Panthers promote salary cap manager Samir Suleiman JANUARY 26, 2022 BY DARIN GANTT CHARLOTTE — The Panthers have promoted director of player negotiations and salary cap manager Samir Suleiman, rewarding a key member of the front office. Suleiman has been named vice president of football administration. General manager Scott Fitterer said that in this new position, Suleiman would have an expanded role in the budgeting and finance function of the football operation. Suleiman, 46, has been on a number of lists in recent years as a potential NFL general manager candidate. He came to the Panthers after eight years with the Steelers, and has also worked for the Rams and Jaguars. “Samir’s been instrumental for us over the past year,” Fitterer said. “From signing Haason Reddick and other free agents last offseason, he’s done a great job for us. We rely on him and his ability to manage the salary cap every day, and he’s a big part of what we do here.” The Panthers have leaned toward shorter-term contracts in the last year, offering cap flexibility as they restock the roster around young players. Fitterer said that Suleiman could also help the front office in player evaluation. His experience in free agency from years of negotiating contracts helps them consider value in the market, and which moves they can make.

It would if the Panthers (a big if) could unload Darnold along with most of his present contract.

One option at QB could be Mitchell Trubisky who is currently serving as backup, but he will be a free agent this offseason. Perhaps he’d be motivated by the chance to become a starter again. He did lead the Bears to the playoffs in two of his four seasons as the starter. Something that often gets overlooked in the grand scheme of things. Through four years, Trubisky accumulated more than 10,000 passing yards along with 64 touchdown passes. He also poses a threat to make some plays running, as he had more than 1,000 yards on the ground and 8 touchdowns while a member of the Bears. Sitting behind Josh Allen on the Buffalo Bills this season was needed. But whether the Panthers want to take on another reclamation project is another matter.

To their credit,the NFL is making attempts at providing a greater level of psychological support by requiring each team to hire a part-time mental health provider for a minimum of 12 hours a week during the season.

The Panthers will likely have new faces a right guard, left guard, left tackle, center will all likely have new faces in 2022 Brady Christensen will start at either left tackle or left guard and Taylor Moton will again start at right tackle, but outside of that, the Panthers will address other positions in the draft or free agency. The Panthers can address their most pressing need in the offensive line and still get great value with the 6th pick. Cross is ranked in the top 10 by most draft experts. Alabama’s Evan Neal and N.C. State’s Ikem Ekwonu are others mentioned as top options at left tackle, so one of them should be available..

Plus,the Saints will probably lose their head coach, so New Orleans is out.

I wonder how often other players yell or curse at the officials and get away with it ? Still,i it doesn't seem like behavior befitting a player of Tom Brady's stature to do it and to me it makes him appear as the biggest whiney baby in modern day NFL.

I feel that QB Malil Willis,Liberty, fits the profile of the modern day NFL QB so my choice would be him. Malik Willis, Liberty Strengths: Massive arm that will be among the top 10 arms in the NFL upon his arrival to the league. Supreme athletic gifts. Will be a serious threat in the designed run game and has a flair for the dramatic as an improviser. Has the body of a tall running back and runs like that. Will run past some slower linebackers. From a clean pocket, his accuracy is very good. Zip, touch, placement are almost always on point in that scenario. Very capable throwing on the run. Wants to hit the big-time throw often. Weaknesses: Not a deft coverage-reader. Can get baited by secondary members into interceptions. Aggression that leads to big plays also gets him into trouble at times. Pocket presence needs work. If i had to pick one team that Rodgers goes to it would be the New Orlean Saints. It just makes too much sense. They have a top 3 defense, great coach, great offensive weapons. One safe bet is that he will not be coming here to play quarterback for the Carolina Panthers.

That could have been called a fowl because it showed Brady with a bloody lip. However, it serves "Cry Baby" Brady right for shooting off his mouth this week, braging about intimating officials to get calls.
