  1. Cam Newton is a good quarterback but is he Hall of Fame worthy? That is a great question that will only be answered in time. There’s no debating that Cam was a good quarterback because he was. Not only was he a good passer, even though he often had problems being accurate, but he really frustrated defenses with his legs, rushing for over 500 yards in six of his first seven seasons. He was a lot of fun to watch, but with his career winding down, many of us on the Huddle are now asking the famous question — " Is he good enough to get into the Hall of Fame someday?" For one, it’s not the end all, be all, but championships talk, especially for quarterbacks, and Cam has zero on his professional resumé. He led the Panthers to Super Bowl 50 in the 2015 season but they lost to the Broncos and he was heavily criticized for not diving on a loose fumble, which proved costly. Secondly, Cam's numbers aren’t all that impressive in all honestly. He’s only thrown for more than 25 touchdowns once in his career and he did so in the 2015 season where he threw 35 touchdowns and rushed for another 10 . He won the league MVP in 2015 for his efforts and he definitely deserved it, but that was the only season where his numbers really popped. Third, as good as Cam was in his MVP season, he didn’t even throw for 4,000 yards that year and only threw for 4,000 yards just once (2011, his rookie season). He’s also had double-digit interceptions in every season except for 2019 and he only started two games that year. There is no doubting that Cam is a talented player and was a big name when he was playing at a high-level in the NFL, but when it comes time to discuss if he belongs in the Hall of Fame or not, that will remain to be seen by those doing the final selection..
  2. Joke Of The Day >>> { "Reminder: When the panthers are in the playoffs next year under matt rhule all your crybaby overreacting posts this year will be exposed and reposted."} Rate this topic By Gipetto, 15 hours ago in Carolina Panthers
  3. That was what Tre Boston said then but his present opinion may be somewhat different. Just saying......
  4. The fact that Payton, a rival division HC and staff are so much better than the Panthers HC and staff, makes it even more obvious that Rhue is not the Panthers answer long term and needs to go and take his staff with him.
  5. I agree that Rhule does not know what he is doing but he did trash/blame Sam on numerous occasions. Rhule often said Sam makes good decisions when he has time but bad ones if he has to make quick ones.
  6. When I first looked at his picture quickly he didn't appear to look dumb. Looking at it for a longer period the second time makes me think differently.
  7. Rhule fan ? Hmmm!! I am surprised there is any out there!
  8. Fitts is trader happy and that scaces me considering i don't value him as being a great judge of talent.
  9. Tick! Tock! The clocking is ticking and this loss just gets Rhule a step closer to being on the way to the exit door.
  10. I agree 100% with your assessment of the inept, dude of a coach, Rhule. However, we need look no further than Tepper himself as the man responsible for approving these type actions that are putting the Panthers building plans in complete reverse.
  11. And if i am not mistaken Rhule and company had him rated as a guard. Go figure!
  12. Rhule’s honeymoon period is finished and truly over as far as the fanbase is concerned. His management of situational football doesn’t seem to be improving and the clock issues and third-quarter production are ongoing concerns that are holding this team back. There is no doubting that Rhule is on the hot seat with the fans because what we want to see is progression year-on-year en route to becoming a leading contender sooner rather than later and it is just not happening. If it had been my decision, Rhule a college coach and not a great one, would never have been hired . I would love to see him gone like yesterday but considering some of the bad decisions Tepper has made,I would not be surprised if he gives Rhule another year, which in my opinion would be a big,big mistake.
  13. The good is that the Panthers are always tied with the other team after the initial kick off. But after that.......
  14. Hmmm!! The person they are draging out looks a lot like Tepper. Makes me wonder?
  15. I don't think we will have to worry about any more wwins this year.unless we squeak by New Orleans 1/2/21.
  16. Either that or we will trade back to get more draft picks and screw up each selection. I am hoping we address the OL in free agency and pick QB Kenny Pickett with our first selection if he is still on the board.
  17. I am inclined to agree. The Falcons are not as bad as their record indicates, so the Panthers will have to play an "A Plus" game if they are going to have a chance to win.
  18. Personally, Kenny Pickett, Pittsburgh, would be my first choice for the Panthers to draft but would not be unhappy if they selected Howell.
  19. This is how i would rank the top six 2022 draft-eligible prospects based on factors like experience, proven production, recent production and physical upside. Malik Willis, Liberty. Kenny Pickett, Pittsburgh. ... Matt Corral, QB, Mississippi. ... Desmond Ridder, Cincinnati. ... Sam Howell, North Carolina. ... Jayden Daniels, Arizona State
  20. My guess is that Sam Howell will be the 2nd, 3rd (maybe 4th) QB taken off the board in the 2022 NFL Draft.
  21. I would like to hear some update on the progress or lack thereof pertaining to Donte Brown.
  22. NFL Quarterback Rating comments shown below has Kenny Pickett rated as the number one QB in the 2020 NFL Draft. I’m calling it now, we’re changing Kenny Pickett‘s nickname to Kenny ‘The Mailman’ Pickett because he delivers in any weather. Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays Pickett from the swift completion of his accurately-placed passes. The Mailman is fifth in the country with 3,517 passing yards and fourth with 32 touchdowns through the air. Pickett is the only quarterback with at least 330 pass attempts and 4 or fewer interceptions to his credit this season. Pickett has demonstrated all the requisite on-field skills to rise on NFL draft boards, and he maintains his top spot on these QB rankings. The fifth-year senior has become Pitt’s all-time leader in passing yards (11,501), passing touchdowns (71), completions (971), and he has his sights set on even more Pitt records. Rewriting the record books at a university is one thing, breaking records held by players like Dan Marino and Alex Van Belt is another. He’ll break the Pitt record for most yards in a season (3,679) likely in the first half of their Week 12 game against Virginia. Like the expression stated, The Mailman simply delivers, no matter the situation. His rain-soaked performance against UNC in Week 11 is just another case of Pickett elevating his game to elite standards this season. With two heavily-favored games left on their regular season, Pickett will likely have the ACC Championship Game and a bowl game appearance to increase his records. Then, it’s off to the NFL for The Mailman.
  23. R.I.P. DeMaryius Thomas. Prayers are extended to the family.
  24. Hmmm!! If I remember correctly a QB by the name of Kenny (The Snake) Stabler wasn't to bad.
