I said a little prayer when OT Ikem Ekwon was drafted because I never thought he would last until the Panthers would be selecting.

If P.J. does good the rest of the season at QB, I think the Panthers should stay with him and Corral, while obtaining a veteran QB, if the top three QB's are gone before the Panthers pick in the 1st round. With that sceniro in mind, I would like to see them draft an additional outstanding WR to start along side DJ Moore with their # 1 pick.. My choice is: WR Quentin Johnston, TCU The Panthers should sprint to the podium with this pick. Johnston is arguably the best wide receiver in next year's draft class, and he could have a Calvin Johnson or Julio Jones-Esque career in the league. While Addison and Smith-Njigba are fine scheme-fit players, Johnston is an all-around talent. He is one of the biggest wideouts (i 6' 4") n next year's class, he is amazingly productive, and he cannot be stopped with the ball in his hands, a rarity for a player of his size. If PJ or Corral is the starter in 2023, having Johnston in tow would be a huge help.

Rams Offering Two (Future) Firsts for Burns
KatsAzz replied to OnlyPantherFaninMaine's topic in Carolina Panthers
I am all for trading Burns for those two 1st round picks offered by the Rams. I realize those 1st Round Picks are a few years down the road because the Rams have been trading 1st round picks but they should be high picks that would be available just about the time the Panthers need them.. Burns is a good pass rusher but not so great against the run, so i consider him somewhat of a one trick pony. I feel he can eventually be replaced by a more complete DE that can rush the passer and stop the run, for close to what the Panthers will have to pay him. Not only would the Panthers have a more complete DE, the draft picks they gain could be used in various ways to eventually help rebuild or refurbish the team. . -
You make some valid points but there is probably no kickers available that are better than him. Unless he totally messes up big time, his job may be safe for now but I look for stiff competion among kickers in the 2023 training camp.

Very possible because history often tends to repeat.

That was my exact first thoughts when i read it.. There is no way that Robbie could have written a grammatically correct post like that.

True!!! Colin Cowherd is another nit wit I refuse to listen to.

Inside the Carolina Panthers' three seasons of quarterback failure
KatsAzz replied to Vox's topic in Carolina Panthers
My main take from the long but interesting article: { "Multiple front office sources with rival teams say they believe Fitterer and his well-respected core staff will remain intact, seemingly giving Carolina a strong basis from which to rebuild the team." } { "But so much still hinges on what Tepper does with the head coach vacancy, a move that will undoubtedly inform the team's future at the quarterback position and beyond." } -
Inside the Carolina Panthers' three seasons of quarterback failure
KatsAzz replied to Vox's topic in Carolina Panthers
I am not a draft or expert QB evaluator by no means but i felt with all my being and hope, the Panthers would trade up to select Herbert, no matter what it took. I felt it would solve the QB position for years. Sadly, they didn't, which has caused the team to spin its wheels and revert back to the same place they were before that draft. -

Now, I see why they call Anderson "Harry".

Albert Breer talks Panthers, Burns, and details McCaffrey trade...
KatsAzz replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
Considering Tepper is the owner, he should be at very important meetings like this that involve the teams future. Since he let the experts he hired do a great job, I would not say his interest in attending could be considered meddling. -
PJ got the highest PFF grade for a qb so far this year
KatsAzz replied to uncfan888's topic in Carolina Panthers
It would be great if the Panthers could get something for either Darnold or Baker. If the Panthers are smart they will be looking for some NFL team willing to obtain at least one of them. -
Congratulations to P.J. and the entire Panthers team for out playing Tom Brady (G.O.A.T.) and the Bucs. I have no idea where P.J.'s career will lead him but there is no way this win can be taken from him.

Tear it down. All of it. And get back as many draft picks as you can. That’s the goal for the Panthers, and it’s good that they did that with Robbie Anderson and now McCaffrey, and they should keep doing it with any big name that could fetch some good picks. So they did a great job here extracting as much value as possible with a player who wasn’t going to help them now or in the near future, one who also comes with some risk.

Jacob Eason… Come on down. Thoughts on his limited play?’

I played QB in high school many years ago, so this could be the break i have always dreamed of. -
Jacob Eason… Come on down. Thoughts on his limited play?’
KatsAzz replied to panthersgreenville's topic in Carolina Panthers
Since the Panthers are at the bottom of the league in total offense, third-down conversion rate, big plays, 30th in red zone offense, and 29th in passing offense and yards per play, I would like to see them give Jacob Eason a shot at starting. It is obvious that the team is heading to finish near the bottom of the league this season and will be looking to select a QB in Round #1. Eason is probably not our answer as the starting QB the team sorely needs but with his rocket for an arm, he could bring some excitement to a team that is boring to watch. They have nothing to lose at this point and a lot to gain if Eason can show some of the talent and outstanding promise he had in high school and college before he was forced to move from school to school and several NFL teams for various reasons. -
Thank you for having one of the more logical posts on this topic. I can go along with the game plan to run the ball a lot to try keeping the score close. However, when the Panthers got down score wise, it was obvious to everyone that they needed to open the game up more by passing the ball.

Robby Anderson went OFF on Jonathan Stewart -Riot Report
KatsAzz replied to WarPanthers89's topic in Carolina Panthers
So true. Jonathan Stewart was mild mannered and soft spoken but tough as nails, not someone that Robbie would want to tangle with. -
PJ Walker on Robbie leaving or live ping pong coverage?
KatsAzz replied to CRA's topic in Carolina Panthers
P.J. is not NFL QB material, in my opinion. I will be glad when him and Rhules other suck ups are no longer on the team. -

I have to search my memory real hard to recall when watching the Panthers was enjoyable and felt like they had a decent chance of winning the football game. -
Robbie Anderson didn't get drafted because of his attitude, but the N.Y. Jets signed him as an undrafted receiver and got rid of him because of the same reason he wasn't drafted. Then Anderson comes to the Panthers and does the same thing. Perhaps the Cardinals think they have a better shrink. And with that being said, I wish them good luck because they may need it, dealing with him long term
