  1. You are probably right. However, based on the previous history of bad mistakes the Panthers have made, it scares me into thinking they will make another stupid one that will set the team back further than they already are.
  2. Exactly!! The officials call a roughing the passer penalty if the Cry Baby Tom Brady is slightly touched but Cam Newton and Big Ben could have their heads ripped off and nothing would be called. This is way beyond totally unfair.
  3. Sadly, this sounds about right, knowing all the other brain dead decisions that have been made.
  4. The whistle shouldn't have been blown but it was blown a split second before the ball was caught. There was absolutely no time for the defense to react to the whistle, so it in no way changed the result of the play. If the play was overturned, the team that would have been robbed would have been the Bengals.
  5. The loss by the Cowboys made my day. They pulled a typical a typical choke job most of the game. When the officials give the Cowboys more obvious penalties than the other team, you know they were really playing bad. Not only do i blame Dak and the offensive line and some other players.I blame Head Coach Mike McCarthy and crew for not having the team prepared for this big game.
  6. If (a big if) the Panthers can find a team willing to trade for Christian McCaffrey in exchange for several good draft picks, even if the Panthers have to eat a small part of his salary,i feel it would be worth it
  7. Trade Burns because the Panthers need more draft picks and his trade value will probably never be higher than it presently is. Plus, Redick said he really wants to stay here and plans on adding 15 or 20 solid pounds, still retain his quickness and be able to stop the run a lot better.
  8. Great to see see someone on the Huddle have a positive take and outlook. This place is getting down right depressing to view.
  9. I feel that Tepper is smart enough to make sure the OC that is hired will be such a high caliber football person he could take over the team if Rhule is ousted, which would be a win-win sitution.. I will admit that Tepper has made and allowed Rhule to make some glaring mistakes. I hope he has learned from these mistakes and will not make another one by allowing the wrong OC to be hired.
  10. Some fans cannot get it through their heads for whatever reason that Cam Newton, who was once a generation talent, no longer has the skills to be a starting QB in the NFL. Considering most NFL teams want a young QB on a cheap contract they can develop, Cam may have trouble finding a NFL team that will hire him to be a backup QB. This is not based so much on Cam having deminished skills but more on the way the modern day NFL works..
  11. My only question to David Tepper would be: "How were you smart enough to make billions investing then turn around and make decisions regarding the Panthers that are just plain dumb?"
  12. Ed Hochuli is the first onethat comes to mind but there are several others that make one question their honesty.
  13. Forget all the gadgets, gimicks and quick fixes that have been mentioned that would most likely set the much needed long term building process backwards . The Panthers need to start bringing in reinforcements at key positions to build a solid team that will have long term success, instead of trying to throw caution to the wind, just to make the playoffs in 2022 and go one and out.
  14. I always liked Brian Flores and thought he was doing a good job. I was surprised when the Miami Dolphins fired him. I feel sure the Panthers would be a better team going forward as well as the present, if he had been their head coach
  15. Horn and Henderson are almost identical in measurables, and they have similar playing styles as well. Both are comfortable in man coverage, which is a likely reason why the Panthers chose Henderson as Horn’s replacement.
  16. I would hate to lose comp picks but if means obtaining and building solid OL i am all for it.
  17. Sure, it was overhyped, overproduced spectacle. But at its heart, this was the story of a quarterback ascending from obscurity to the mountaintop, and a fanbase that had watched all its rivals enjoy success finally indulging in its own. That’s exactly what sports are all about. Congrats, once again, to the Dawgs.
  18. One thing is for certain,Andrew Luck will not win any beauty contests.
  19. I was pulling for a Georgia win but if I had placed a bet before the game, I would have taken Alabama and the odds, which would have been a loss.
  20. Thanks for the heads up ladypanther, how dumb of me,one would think the #1 rated team would be favored over the # 3 rated team. Serves me right for just assuming and shooting my mouth off before I checked. However,I still plan on rooting for Georgia. ("INDIANAPOLIS — No. 1 Alabama is a 3-point underdog against No. 3 Georgia heading into the College Football Playoff championship game at Lucas Oil Stadium on Monday ")
  21. Exactly. Scott Fitterer's explanation regarding Brady Christensen and his arm length, backs up what all of us here on the Huddle have been saying for a long time.
  22. I almost always pull for the underdog in the national champiomship game unless Clemson or a Carolina team would be playing,so i will be rooting for Georgia to upset Alabama..
  23. No other NFL team was interested in signing Cam but the Panthers not only signed him but gave him six million dollars to be a part time quarterback for half a season. That is a pretty good hunk of change to make for a quarterback no other tean wanted, so there is no way I am feeling sorry for Cam.
