  1. didn't want to talk pass ratio huh and Rhule rhetoric? Understandable.
  2. Matt Rhule: I had to fire Joe Brady because he didn't run enough also Matt Rhule hires a new OC that passes at a higher ratio than Joe Brady
  3. I’m not advocating for heavy investment. Just advocating for the type of depth. We were able to find Ameer last season. But it took weeks for him to start getting more involved and he never really got the volume he deserved minus CMC. If he was already on the roster and locked into the 2 spot when CMC went down we would have been better off. Ameer was the best RB on the team last year at the end but we didn’t have him ready to go and he wasn’t treated as such largely because he was a midseason add. If your offense build around CMC. You should have a similar style RB IMO behind him so what you do doesn’t have to drastically change. Hubbard can’t catch. Im talking 21 and now 22. They did have it in 20 with Davis. And the O didn’t implode in 20 when CMC went down.
  4. I mean the bar for our #2 spot is basically can you catch an easy pass. wish they would have added a RB like Ameer before the season started last year instead of once CMC got hurt. Same applies this year. Stylistically, I think we should have that diverse pass catcher:runner to sub in for CMC and be there if he got hurt.
  5. That’s what Sam can’t do. The play would be a disaster after TMJ slipped
  6. Despite getting in you can’t feel great about where the O is. Baker looks fine but it seems like we are going to need to be a CMC one man show machine.
  7. PFF was doing receiving corps in that ranking just to be clear. TEs factoring too. Which is going to drop us and make others rise.
  8. PFF has us at 23rd I assume they are putting a lot of stock in 2021 and that being the Robbie Anderson applying
  9. Matt Rhule probably in Fitz office right now....look, the Shi Smith stock is super hot right now, let's go get our guy!! Mims gets the brand, Scott!! Do it for the brand!!
  10. Last season proved Matt Rhule can't be trusted in really any capacity. I don't care to banter about Matt Rhule every time I drop a quick Matt Rhule one liner. You name something stupid. Rhule might do it. I do not wish to bet every time on how Matt Rhule might be stupid this week.
  11. I mean, you are in here saying please no.....for a reason. Matt Rhule is a clown. I think Matt Rhule will do 100 stupid things just like last year. I can't accurately predict his stupidity though.
  12. trade away the WR our new QB has the most chemistry with for some rookie that wouldn't commit to the game? I mean, Matt Rhule might do that.
  13. True. Double lane highway though. Lot of it paved with guys that simply weren't willing to put the work in at this level too. I'd rather have an injury concern than a heart/want concern. Give me TMJ. If Mims wouldn't even commit to learning the positions outside of his ideal spot he isn't what I would want the Panthers to go out trading for.
  14. you can find it cutting both ways.. But you could really argue it might be heart more than maturity with Mims. I mean, you don't want to learn the positions and you play WR?
  15. but it brings us back to the Jets just couldn't get it out of him but Matt Rhule totally can argument.
  16. I mean, there are positives in any situation. Put the pros on one side, negatives on the other. It's not close with Rhule when you looked at what is stacked on each side. That's why he gets what he gets. I just don't see the point on talking about finding a positive here or there given they are so outweighed.
  17. Hmmm…. Darnold seems to be building a history. NFL should set a precedent and get involved. Conduct detrimental to the league or some poo. Aaron Donald swinging a helmet at heads is assault with a deadly weapon IMO.
  18. Again, so top 10 in passing yards and 5 wins? new coach needs a new QB unless you are inheriting a HOF type guy. No point handicapping a new coach to an old QB IMO. What’s a good season? To me it’s winning. I don’t think you can define it by just posting some individual stats. Especially yards.
  19. I mean, you can finish 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th or 9th in passing yards and your team still not win games. I if we finish with 3 or 5 or 6 or 7 wins? I don’t want Rhule or Baker. I want to to actually rebuild. Which is what we were suppose to do back in 2020.
  20. What type season do the Panthers actually have? I mean it’s not uncommon to see QBs on teams that can’t win finish with some strong passing numbers.
  21. well, you said he has improved in every area people have been critical of him. I guess we are on very different pages of what people are being critical of him about. 90% of the stuff will take actual football to show if there has been any actual improvement/growth from my vantage point. The other 10% is stuff that people only care about because he loses. It is basically the icing on top and winning makes it all irrelevant. Therefore, it doesn't even matter. I'll give an example, Matt Rhule's in game management is horrible. He hasn't had an opportunity to show improvement there yet. Matt Rhule's inability and/or slowness to make adjustments is horrible. Both sides of the ball. He hasn't had an opportunity to show improvement there yet.
  22. I mean, he hasn't done that. Only an actual season would afford him an opportunity to show if he has managed improvement in most of the areas he has been knocked for.
  23. I mean, I got tired of people moaning about Marty Hurney and Mike Shula. I obviously didn't love them but it wasn't really my thing to hate overly hard on them. Everyone gets their fandom out different. Complaining about sports is just sports 101 IMO. That's what people do.
  24. Matt Rhule signed a 60 million dollar deal to work in the entertainment business. He is okay. He willingly signed up for this gig. And getting "fan hate" or "media hate" shouldn't be conflated with hating of actual humans. Matt Rhule knows what happens when you take the job and lose. For all the 7 year JayZ BS he spewed he addressed the fact he knew he had to win up front at the time as well. Rhule ain't dumb. Nor is he someone that needs actual defense. What is going on here is fandom 101.
