  1. I was not excited by the pick and unfortunately he lived up to the concerns. I would have more hope improvement if he wasn't such a dull bulb.
  2. Not sold on either at 8 yet. I get the nagging feeling they end up blowing another 1st this year. These guys look like 2nd round guys to me so far. A tweener edge guy and a weak DE that could be picked up later.
  3. That and they also had terrible taste last year. Taking a blocking TE at 8 is a good way to get fired. I need to see this guys numbers because he looked slow on tape and thst was against college players
  4. Fug projects and workout warriors. 100% not interested this year.
  5. In drafts like this there are so few wow players that the media will have to overhype up guys to fill the time. It's plausible someone falls in love and makes a move. Not every team has needs as gigantic as the Panthers. It's not a lock for sure but given what's likely to be available # 8 it's what I am hoping for as it stands.
  6. I don't think he is very valuable but this team seems to think so. Brining back Corbett is the same for me.
  7. I would even take a trade back into the 20s if they had an earlier 2nd. Going to be hard but that's the wish. The guys in our pick range are not very good for a #8 pick.
  8. I don't like his availability. It's the same as Corbett for me. I would take a swing g elsewhere personally even if he does have the versatility
  9. It's an easy draft for a team with a need to take a swing. It's certainly not give but it also only ties one team to make it happen.
  10. I don't want BC really. Dude has had tons of chances and I hope we aren't the team to overpay. We need depth and that's why I hope it's a trade back. RT and C are not strong spots long term and could actually be weaknesses faster. I think I would keep Ickey at LT and see if anyone trades up if a LT is there at our pick. People here didn't want to trade back very far but so far it but if it gave is more ammo in the 2nd and early 3rd I would be thrilled. So far but still.
  11. Honestly a trade back with a rt and an extra 2nd for that teir of D players sounds best end case if he is that messed up. In this draft I don't get it at 8th. LT yes but not RT. Looks like a great draft to pick up extra 2nds and early 3rds.
  12. Leggette was always a BS pick. His college stuff was NFL meh. Likable guy but whatever. Good to see them absorbe Moton this year. Continuing on like it's a stacked team and having to hide cap when it's not has been ridiculous lately. I hope h has enough left for one more year if not many more. I just never betting on big guys getting over injuries anymore even if I eant to see it.
  13. Or just draft a guy with that pick and get 4 years on a rookie contract. Nothing about this team screams close to contending. Just build with young healthy guys who have a larger windows on rookie contracts. This guy was drafted in the 2nd so I'm guessing they don't let him walk for a 5th like some are assuming. A blocking TE shouldn't be in the first 3 or 4 picks with this team and it's lopsided needs.
  14. That's what I meant when I said would rather have that kind of player on a rookie deal. Vs a guy coming off of it is what I didn't say. Again, if the team wasn't in such need of meaningful talent then overpaying a little for an older blocking TE the coach could trust wouldn't be unusual. Giving up more than 1 pick is just dumb given the situation for us tho and there is still repairing what that last cap guy did before they can hit normal opperating IMO. Spending money like the peak Saints with so little talent was not a good combo.
  15. Cough cough don't draft a blocking TE high. No idea about the personal reasons but this guy is a TE #2 max. I would rather have that on a rookie deal. On the flip side could he be worse than Thomas at anything?
  16. That industry is rampant BS with some actual journalism sprinkled in. I'm tuned out and happy.
  17. Lewis was there and wouldn't tell the cops who did it so they charged him. He didn't murder anyone.
  18. Clowney has to be available and Wonnum shouldn't be much competition for a good rookie in the back half of the season.
  19. What's the difference between a teir 2 TE and a teir 2 edge guy? There are less than 5 teir 1 guys in this draft. Not falling in love with a guy at the top of teir 2 is the smart move IMO. Trade back and take 2 teir 2 guys.
  20. I would rather have a less talented guy who was available. They don't need any projects or injured guys early. They already screwed up early last year and don't need more of that.
  21. Injured RB at 8? Just close the thread. If they do that and sit him for 25 then there should be new people in charge next year when this guy might be playable...because it's not like an injured RB that's raved about couldn't get reinjured when finally cleared...
  22. So many 2nd round type guys being talked about way too high in the first. I'd take a DT but still take a NT later. I don't see more than a swing at passrusher so having at least the front 3 strong would be a vast improvement.
  23. That and how is the endurance running all around a filed. Sumo bouts don't last all that long with footwork for tossing weight using leverage. Pretty sure that would be a lot of holding calls and personal fouls lol
  24. His size is what made him stand out for sure. He uses it well. I just don't see an AB or CJ, I see a big guy moving little college players...which look like DBs but then again at that level the LBers look small too half the time. He looks solid. I don't think the size and losing comparable speed is going to look the same as often in the NFL.
