We are talking about a backup quarterback. Jameis is a HOF vibes guy. If bryce gets hurt were going to suck anyway. Also, he prayed that the lord would deliver him from pick sixes.

I need this.

Jameis. Positive Vibes Only.

Last season we did not have an NFL roster on either side of the ball. We fixed offense. We did not address defense, and then our best player on that side of the ball got hurt. I feel like we can trust Evero's body of work. He didn't forget everything he knew. He was calling plays for XFL guys competing against NFL players.

I don't think he was bad at reading defenses as a rookie. I think he literally had a defensive lineman in his face within .75 seconds of snapping the ball. He wasn't reading defenses at all post snap.
-
I think he's a bit to volatile to bring into this situation. He's not even a free agent and he's talking like that

Really interesting that we finish 3rd in division and draft in front of the saints. 4th in the division is a big advantage on the schedule next season. I'd sit at 8. Draft day is weird. Never know who can fall to you. If T-Mac or Graham or Abdul gets to you, take em. If not, the best OL on the board will likely be available. Trade back in the 14-10 range and take luther burden or Ken Grant and get some more picks. Lord knows we can use em. Were in a really good spot.

He's definitely progressing. Roster is improving too, which helps him look better. His rookie year we were unimaginably terrible. We do have an NFL capable offense now. Need to improve the other side of the ball.

He definitely deserves credit. He's got a long way to go though before we all trust or like him, if he can ever get there. I have no reason to hate the guy if he's doing things that allow this team to be successful. He clearly stuck his nose in too many things. He's also clearly taken a step back from putting his nose in everything. Lets hope the trend holds if success comes. So yes, I'll give him credit and appreciation for allowing the football people to football.

Totally down with saleh. But don’t fire evero unless you know saleh is coming.

While I’m not banging the drum to have him fired, I am fine moving on from Evero if we have a plan. he was handed an absolute poo personnel group this year and then even that poo group got injured. if we’re gonna move on, we need to have a plan. Don’t move on for an empty chair.

Who here was NOT HAPPY we won yesterday....
ImfromClayton replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
I understand this opinion from fans that watch on tv every week, or fans that sell their PSLs for every game. as somebody in that stadium 10 Sundays a year, I wanna win. -
I know it’s not the main idea of this thread, but my goodness Scott fitterer was bad bad.

Fix Your Franchise: Carolina Panthers
ImfromClayton replied to CarolinaRideorDie's topic in Carolina Panthers
If we are in the top 7 we will get a player that can really help us. I think that's all but certain at this point. two quarterbacks will go and then we could def use one of Mason Graham Travis Hunter Will Johnson Abdul Carter T-Mac -
How did they mess up so bad with Mayfield and Darnold,
ImfromClayton replied to Jmac's topic in Carolina Panthers
I don't think people understand just how poor the offensive line was in the Darnold/Mayfield years all the way up to last year. We'd have been better off punting on first down. -
The poorly managed teams are so bad this year that I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't come up at offseason meetings. It hurts everybody's bottom line for the bottom of the league to be this terrible. Mike Silver (wrote this article) has some really interesting stories from those meetings. I heard him speak on PMT once.

I don't want to move on from Ekwonu. Finding a left tackle is really hard to do, and it has haunted this franchise for many, many years. That said, he has not played up to his draft slot. He's been pretty solid this year, but he's definitely not a pro bowl guy. I think our biggest problem today was that their defensive line players were a lot better than our offensive line players regardless of scheme or play calling. There's very few teams in the NFL where that is the case, but even though the cowboys are not very good this year, they still have a good pass rush, and we put ourselves in a position where we had to throw it. Most teams have not been forced to throw the ball against the cowboys this season.
-
I love the candidate list, but we have to infest some draft capital and $ on that side of the ball if we want to be successful. Hindsight is obvious, but if were just going to let teams motion and shift away from Jaycee, yes, half the field is eliminated, but if they don't need that half, it doesn't really matter. Also, losing Derrick Brown is killing us. If teams are willing to stick to the running game, we can't stop them.
-
The Cowboys defensive line was really good, but with all we have invested in our offensive line, they have to play better. Cade Mays is not a center. He wasn't good today, but he shouldn't be there in the first place. Ekwonu has a great story, but we got fooled again drafting the local guy instead of the best player available. He's not awful, and he had an extremely tough assignment, but he has not played close to his draft slot. Chuba had no chance to do anything and you could tell Bryce became frustrated.

Did they give up on Yetor Gross-Metos to soon?
ImfromClayton replied to Jmac's topic in Carolina Panthers
I'm pretty sure he has 4 sacks and 3 of them came in one game. I didn't hate him as a primary run defending Edge, but I'm not mad about letting him walk. He had one good game. The seahawks paid Matt Flynn because he had two good games. -
Let’s give a hand to Mr and Mrs Tepper
ImfromClayton replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
If we can actually turn it around, I can forgive him. To his credit, he's clearly taken a step back and let the football people football. He had to learn the hard way though. When we make the playoffs again, I'll forgive him formally. -
I hate to find myself rooting on the offseason again, and I am looking forward to watching us these last few weeks. That said, we are effectively out of contention. I am very interested to see where we spend money, and where we spend draft capital. We get 95 back, but DT has been a massive weakness for us this year, especially in the run game. We also have hurt at edge, but when some guys got healthy, we we've been better there, but not great. I think linebackers and secondary have overperformed, but Mike Jackson, Xavier Woods, and Jordan Fuller are Free Agents. I'm not sure I'd resign any of them, and definitely not for big money. If they want to play on team friendly deals, let's go. On offense, the line has been really good, with Center being a glaring weakness. We could really stand to add in the RB room, the TE room and the receiver room. Lots of needs, but a good o-line can hide a lot of ugly.
