  1. It was Winston who stole crab legs. I’m confused by this?
  2. Mingo was a rookie who was known to be raw with a high ceiling and he went to a terrible situation. If our new staff can develop him like they should we could have a halfway decent WR room. I want Mingo to eventually take over for AT as a big slot WR. I feel like that’s where he was always projected.
  3. This weird angle makes Young’s arms look huge.
  4. They did a terrible job so I'm calling them a bad staff.
  5. I said “I” wouldn’t. You are free to judge whatever player you want. I just think some players like Mingo were in a tough spot with a bad staff around them. I still think Icky is fine for the record.
  6. I wouldn’t judge Mingo or anyone in that offense last year too harshly. It was a cluster from the beginning…
  7. I kind of like Sanders, but I really want to see Cam Ward and Riley Leonard with their new teams. I doubt they make it to QB1, but it should be interesting....
  8. doesn't have "elite" or even "above average". It is very close to what they were saying in the Young draft profiles. Good not great, average not elite etc.. From Walter Football Weaknesses: Arm strength limitations Smaller hands – nine inches One-year wonder It was the only real knock on Burrow. Arm was nothing special and they tried to make a deal about his smaller hands lol which was a joke.... I really liked/like Burrow. I see few stay as calm as he does in the pocket. He needs to stay healthy this year though or it might become a thing for him...
  9. It's on both. Having 3rd string OGs playing is rough on a QB, especially a short QB. Teams just put their best pass rusher right over the center and let them have at it. If he couldn't scramble like he did or throw the ball away as much as he did, who knows the final number of sacks allowed in the 16 games he played. Bryce is far from innocent here with his hesitations and holding the ball too long, but OL and weapons share the blame as well. Everything on offense was just awful. The staff, the OL, the weapons, the QB, everything....
  10. Yeah hindsight shows it was a bad idea from the beginning. If Tepper was sold on Young he should have hired a young open minded offensive HC to coach him and create an offense around him. Honestly the Colts new HC would have been a great choice, but he likes his QBs running more than Bryce should.
  11. He would lob it up to JJ, Chase, or Marshall. It's the same thing with Tua having Waddle and HIll. Arm strength was always an issue for Burrow. He is constantly working on ways to improve it in the offseason and adjusts his game to make up for it. I've said several times if Young wants to find success in this league he needs to look hard at Joe Burrow. Here is a good read on how he is breaking the mold of big armed QBs. https://theanalyst.com/na/2022/02/the-rise-of-cincinnati-bengals-joe-burrow-super-bowl-lvi/ While Burrow does not have elite arm strength, or even above average arm strength, the level of athleticism in his lower half allows him to compensate for the lack of a pocket around him. As evidenced in the AFC championship game, Burrow’s athleticism led to clutch play after clutch play despite having Chris Jones and company constantly in his face.
  12. Jesus people, no one is saying he had a bad OL at Alabama. It was quite good. The whole debate was about this quote. The answer was last year. Last year they broke a school record for most sacks allowed. That is all. He already acknowledged it was incorrect. Move it along back to his size or arm or another usual topic.
  13. It's a pretty simple point. He stated Bryce made the OL of Alabama look bad which never happens. It was literally worse the year he left. Before that it was worse in the 90s. I get people are down on him, but his college play was solid. I would say let's not get carried away here, but I am sure we are all well past that point. Bad QBs CAN make OLs look worse and bad OLs can make QBs look worse. People were high on Sam Howell and he was sacked more than Bryce. Does that mean he is worse than Bryce?
  14. It’s missed yards per attempt with pressure and without
  15. That's fair and it might not. Time will tell. It didn't look good last season, but a lot of poo went wrong. I'm just curious to see how it goes this one.
  16. Yeah while many are undecided or already writing him off in the NFL, he was a very good college QB. My Auburn fan hood hurts saying that BTW.
  17. https://www.al.com/alabamafootball/2024/01/alabama-sets-school-record-for-sacks-allowed-in-a-season.html Looks like last year they broke a school record for sacks allowed. That's without Bryce playing.... The previous high was in 96?
  18. Yeah you were right. I think Snow was thinking of Ben not wanting to come here.
  19. He was awful last year for the Eagles. You might be thinking of Ben Johnson?
  20. Another thought is maybe this is part 1 of many to develop this offense. Get the run game going to open up the passing game and make life easier on our QB early on. As he progresses (in theory) you can really open up the offense. A physical running game can really inspire a team to play more physical on offense and defense which is what Dan Morgan wants. Remember the Ravens, Niners, and Dolphins has top offenses and also top running games.
  21. If there is a good balance it’s great. A strong running game can demoralize a defense. We also need a great passing game. Russ could also kill a defense through the air in Seattle plus they had an elite defense. When teams get a lead or we need to score fast we have to be able to spread them out and have our QB pick them apart quickly.
  22. Ok? We are talking about top QB picks who didn’t throw at the combine.
