20m additional for a better QB. We were already paying around 20 for Teddy if we ditch him we subtract 20m (give or take) plus add 40m for Watson giving us a net increase of 20m which was stated at 10% of our projected salary cap next year.

The constant winners have franchise QBs. Do you need more than just a QB? Yes. Can you consistently complete with QBs like Teddy? Doubtful...

We will more than likely shed Teddy’s $20 million hit next year which would be over 10%. So we are looking at a 10% increase with far superior QB play. We will have money for FAs.

Which team that made a run in the playoffs was doing it with a subpar QB? Packers, Bucs, Chiefs, Bills were the final 4. Saints and Ravens are usually in the mix. It’s not coincidence that the teams who are constantly in the playoffs making runs have franchise QBs. Seahawks usually are and the Steelers. So yeah he was 4-12 last year one year away from a 10-6 season, beating the Bills in the Wild Card round and losing the Mahome led Chiefs.

IF he stays healthy, linebackers could be a strength of ours with Brown keeping linemen off of them.
