  1. Injuries happen frequently to O.L. Players like every other position. We were really fortunate last year to keep everyone healthy until the last game. The last thing a rookie quarterback needs to worry about is a a weak offensive lineman.
  2. Well said! Two months ago our coaching staff was awesome, now there are a lot of melt downs over a 4th round pick. We are not privy to every scrap of information about these players, there may be a lot we do not know. As far as going by the “experts” and pundits who write these articles and evaluate these players many know nothing about them, just repeating what others have said. Truth be known, every draft pick taken this weekend is a gamble. Mel Kiper? How did it go picking Levi’s in the top ten? I will trust this coaching staff until they fail to improve this franchise. Their job depends on it.
  3. Remember Evero came from San Francisco. Being from the west coast I think he would be more familiar with athletes from the PAC 10. I have to wonder if he had not already scouted this player for San Fran before he knew he was leaving.
  4. We still have free agency and some money. There are always “finds” that do not get drafted. I expect the Panthers will sign quite a few.
  5. Same guy-changed positions. I did see he had 9” hands, kinda small for a man that size. Should not matter.
  6. Commanders are better off with Howell. Really.
  7. Before we draft another quarterback, draft another offensive lineman. Develop Corral, if nothing else he might make a career backup. Andy Dalton cannot play forever.
  8. One of the best “finds” was Andrew Norwell, and undrafted free agent signed in 2014. He opted to sign with Jacksonville later. He wanted more than the Panthers were willing to pay, pretty sure he is with the Cmmanders now.
  9. I like that if we are confident that he is healthy. I know he missed some time a year ago with back problems.
  10. It seems the positions of need have been addressed, overall this may be the best mock I have seen. My one reservation would be more of a question. Do we need to move the offensive line pick up? With Austin Corbett coming off of an ACL surgery we know he will not be ready at the beginning of the season, hopefully he will recover nicely. However, one misstep on the OL could wreak havoc on our Rookie Quarterback.
  11. The statistic stating 368 quarterbacks in the NFL since 2000…only 9 under 6 feet can say different things to different people. It tells me that in spite the fact the majority of quarterbacks were over 6 feet tall most did not have the skill set needed to have a long career.
  12. 1st pick Bryce Young, pick # 39 best available Offensive Lineman, pick 93 best available cornerback.
  13. The only reason I have it is because of the few games they have rights to I cannot get anywhere else.
  14. I think it is possible after the draft (and our choice is made on quarterback) that the next prominent conversation will be about who is starting at QB on day 1. I think it possible we may have a rookie starting day 1.
  15. Can’t see the Cardinals drafting another 5’ 10” quarterback.
  16. He will not last on the practicevsquad.
  17. I think it’s natural for us to read opinions on this and perhaps some of us have different opinions. A single parent with integrity and positive character traits can do wonders. There are many success stories across the NFL that are wonderful success stories. (From single parent homes) There are some “Ozzie and Harriet” families in our world today, but there are some 2 parent homes that fail their children as well.
  18. I wonder if some of the writers that post this stuff have bets somewhere on who the pick will be. Very seldom do they name sources.
  19. If Deonte does not contribute this year I suspect his career is over.
  20. With all the attention on who the #1 draft pick will be I hope there is enough thought given to the offensive line. Taylor Moton is one of 2 NFL players to play 100% of the offensive snaps in the last 5 years. (Source www. Panthers.com) As reliable as he has been sometimes it may be easy to not have a contingency plan. We know Corbett will not be ready opening day, it remains to be seen how well he plays after his ACL injury. According to reports Christensen will be recovered from his broken ankle, but will he be 100%? Not trying to hit the panic button, but if we don’t have enough depth to cover any missing pieces it could make life very difficult for a rookie quarterback regardless of who the pick is. Am I overreacting?
