I think they probably had their heart set on QB so no matter who we took they would take whoever was #2 for them. Sure it's possible they had Stroud #1 but from every report I've read it seems unlikely. Young was the a pretty unanimous #1. Hopefully he'll live up to it.

Haha do you honestly think they would say otherwise? No team is going to say "This isn't really the guy we wanted, but he's okay I guess ".

You're right. It's EXTREMELY unlikely anyone had Stroud at the top of their board. Is that better?

Yeah, this is what happened. Stroud wasn't on the top of anyone's board.

We traded up to take a QB just last season. There's no reason to not give him a shot.

It's the same story every year. The next QB class is going to be "infinitely better" then once that season rolls around the current top QB's are dissected and we're told we should wait for the next class because it'll be better.

You can't understand why an OWNER would be involved in a head coach search and hire? The fact he didn't just make an outright decision by himself is a good sign. It's pretty unrealistic and naive to expect someone to be completely hands off of their team though.

Ehhhh. I think Gettleman gets the majority of the blame here. The line was pretty decent until Dave ran Gross off and replaced him with Byron Bell and a converted DT.

All those fun stats you threw out added up to a whopping 7 points. He's right. In today's NFL you aren't going anywhere without an efficient passing offense. RB's are pretty easily replaceable and we absolutely made the correct decision. Having a good offensive line is the key to everything. A good line makes most any RB serviceable without having to dump a ton of money into the position

The NFL definitely wants the Chiefs. Too many "good" storylines. The "Battle of the Kelce brothers", "Warrior Mahomes battling through injury".

After watching the Bucs game I'm not sure how there are people still convinced Wilks was the answer. With the division on the line he coached scared and refused to make any adjustments. Geriatric Brady and Evans scorched us on go routes over and over again and nothing was changed.
