  1. I would love to see someone break that BS record. Strahan only got it cuz Favre basically took a knee for him. Oh, sorry, he "tripped".
  2. I don't disagree with anything here, however, the truly elite coordinators should be scheming around a known flaw rather that waiting for circumstances to change. Particularly when the circumstances are personnel related. Right now, Brady is operating at a 6.5 out of 10 level. There are definitely some execution problems with the players, but that's also part of the coordinators job. Get your players to execute.
  3. Agree. Not TD yet. But he now looks like what we've all come to expect of a Panthers LB. I think he may have realized that his contract looks very scary the next couple years - or very attractive from his perspective - and wants to stick around to earn it.
  4. 24 points is actually very average. Slightly below in fact. In 2020, 24 points per game would have put us somewhere between 17th and 20th. We aren't far off, and we can get there. To be a top 10 scoring offense we need to pick up another 3 points per game. A top 10 offense and a top 10 defense will always have a chance, so that should be our goal.
  5. Obviously I'd prefer he not be hurt. However, having him miss three weeks is an excellent opportunity for us to find out if Chuba can be a bona fide NFL RB. If Chuba can look like an NFL back, it will make it even easier for us to lighten the load on CMC when he returns.
  6. As others have said, I too am very concerned about his ball security. He still carries the ball low and one handed in the pocket, even when he is feeling the pressure. He still tries to do some things he probably shouldn't. He still needs to face some adversity. Trailing in a game, even if not in the 4th, though I'd like to see that. We'll soon see how he looks without the best tailback in football. All that said, I see progress. He is improving. He is learning. His upside is starting to show through. This is all we should expect this year. As long as we continue to see consistent progress this year, we can feel pretty good about this guy as our QB. Right now, I see this guy as a much more athletic Jake Delhomme. Obviously, we want to see him display that clutch gene that Delhomme had a triple serving of . . . but if this guy turns into a more polished and athletic Delhomme? With that defense? At that point we can start to dream again.
  7. We need to keep reminding ourselves that this is not our year. We're a promising young team with loads of potential, but realistically we're still a season away from really competing.
  8. Unfortunately, he also dropped a TD. The first drop I think was on Sam, it was high and hot. Too accustomed to CMC, because CMC probably does catch it. We shouldn't expect Chuba to be CMC.
  9. Sam. 100%. The only thing he could have done to be any better was hit that deep shot to DJ, and that was just inches off.
  10. The **ONLY** silver lining here is that this will make it easier for coaches to go to CMC and say "Hey, we got this one wrapped up, have a seat". Everything else here is just awful for us.
  11. I don't think you can mandate it, but I would love to see the NFL heavily incentivize natural turf. Prime time games only played on natural turf? I'm down for it.
  12. Did Slye take Charlton's leg with him when he left? Inquiring minds want to know.
  13. That's the kind of read option threat I can get behind. Not a QB power, just a great design that gives the QB one read to make.
  14. Huddle is hilarious sometimes. We win two freakin games and the Huddle GM's are ready to trade the farm for one player. Insanity.
  15. One day, we will learn our lesson regarding older players.
  16. hahaha - I do remember all the "Everett Brown" talk when we drafted Burns - not saying you particular, I just remember all the grumbling.
  17. He COULD be right, but two games into the season isn't the time for such hyperbole. Call me in December when we're still undefeated, and then we can talk about the comparisons to 2015.
  18. He's gonna get David Carr'ed up there, and it's a shame.

  20. And the other Texans receiver is 6'3". Not a good matchup for Donte.
  21. If things are still going well at mid season with Sam, great, we may have found the answer in the second round. Two games in is still too soon. It's promising, agreed, but still too soon.
  22. We are capable of winning this game. But it won't be easy. Our roster is too thin, too young for us to anticipate any easy games. I think the loss of Tyrod Taylor is what made us such solid favorites here. We are a promising, young team right now. That's all. This is the first of many traps we can fall in to. We have to keep that one week at a time attitude this year.
  23. Baldy lookin to fill that John Madden sized void in broadcast. I'm ready for it.
