Without a franchise QB you stand no chance of having long term success (as we have all been able to see with life after Cam). Again I ask before this trade occurred, what would your plan be to fox our team if you were GM

We are set up very very very well. Our cap explodes next season and we have more than enough cap space to spend on free agency to make up for our lost first round pick. My head is about to explode with some of the dumb negative posters on this board who are absolutely clueless (about 4 in total). Amazing coaching staff, rookie franchise QB, solid defense, good O line, and a ton of money in the bank. Things are amazing since we moved on from Rhule, it’s a completely different franchise now. All you do is complain and talk Sh*t but you never answer the question. Get your head out of the sand and answer the question. What would you do to get us out of the Hell we have been in since Cam left us? How would YOU fix this franchise since you are in another level mentally than our entire coaching staff. I want to hear your plan that would be so much better than this “franchise crippling” move we just made.

“Burrow is a one season wonder, Mahomes is a project and needs to sit a year to have a chance, Cam is a one read QB who is extremely raw….” You take your shot on your franchise QB or you have nothing. Saints will never sniff a Super Bowl with the new shiny vet 150 million dollar QB. We have some of the brightest minds on our coaching staff who specialize in developing QB’s. Our new QB coach just compared Stroud to Burrow. I trust whatever decision this staff makes compared to any other option.

Lol dumb thread. I thought we had a source or some actual information when I read the title. This is not a tear down rebuild. We are going to be adding talent to build around a young rookie franchise QB. Absolutely zero percent chance Burns gets traded.

Ask yourself from the opposite side though….why does A+ coaching staff feel that he’s worth trading away in order to get a guy who has everything they believe needed in order to turn him into a franchise QB.

I had to stop reading the comments Because they made me so mad. It shows how little common sense exist in society. No way we got fleeced that way a win win for both teams. Only time will tell on the decision we make with number 1 overall, but by no means is this franchise crippled by having a rookie QB wage for the next 5 years, and only missing a 2nd and 1st round pick. I take that risk 10/10 times for a chance to get a franchise QB. Our running game was better after the CMC trade and I don’t believe it will be very hard at all to match DJ’s game impact which was not very high at all if you actually watched panther games (which 99 percent of the people making comments on that thread did not)

Sign Bozeman, TE Shultz in Free agency, along with one vet like Hardman, Odell, Thielen, etc, draft a WR in round 2 which is a very high second. We still have TMJ and Laviska Shenault. That’s not bad we still have a pick in round round 3,4,4,5 and can get someone like Foreman back or draft someone in round 3

Absolutely. People freaking out and free agency has not even started yet. We will fill plenty of holes (Shultz please) well before the draft, and we have many good draft picks to go. 2024 we have a ton of cap space so it the future is looking very bright.

This! I can’t believe people don’t see the beauty in the way this was structured. Very strategic moves that really do not cripple us, and it gives us a shot of the guy we believe can change our franchise. In Frank I fugging trust

I hope so. Either way we are swinging for the fences. We are making moves to win a championship and you have to respect that. This will be the most exciting off-season in our history.

Free agency is Monday and we will fill a lot of holes between now and draft time when we get to pick the future QB of our franchise along with picks in Second-rounder (No. 39 overall) Third-rounder (No. 93 overall) Fourth-rounder (No. 114 overall) Fourth-rounder (No. 132 overall) Fifth-rounder (No. 145 overall) WHAT AN EXCITING TIME!!!!! HOW EXCITED ARE YOU FOR THIS OFF-SEASON?? We would never get a future picture like this with a Darnold, Carr, etc. We have our golden ticket and this could be a franchise Savior, or worst case we repeat the last few years but at least we are doing everything possible to get our QB. We can easily re build this WR core. Sign TE Shultz in FA, a vet like Hardman, or Thieland, and draft BPA WR in round 2 along with TMJ, Shenault. Re sign foreman and eat.

And look at our offensive production with those guys…..without a franchise QB you have nothing. We have the pick of our choice with some of the best QB coaches in the league along with that rookie pay for 5 years
