  1. I love DJ but if it could get us a first round pick, I take it. We need O line, and QB help more than anything. In the same breath, he is super young, talented, and can be a building block for the future of the franchise who we can afford once Robby gets cut after this upcoming season. I may have just talked myself out of what I said originally….
  2. Great signing. At times he looked like the only one on defense playing with passion at the end of the season. This helps knowing we have two starters locked in at LB with only one position we have to address (MLB). I still think we should move Shaq to MLB and let Chinn take the joker role full time and get another safety
  3. He may just get an extension. Tepper has bought into the used car salesman tactics
  4. Would I like to keep him and let him sign an extension? Absolutely. Would I rather see that 15-16 million go to a talented offensive linemen….no question. We will see a bigger impact by spending that money on the O line rather than him. We still have Burns, Fox, and Gross Matos who ended the season very strong and should be pushing for a starting role next year. Take the comp 3rd round pick and use it on a hot Molly
  5. We pull a miracle and get a decent QB and a new LT, RG, and C. Impossible to do, but that would be the only way
  6. Lol dude was injured at the end of his career and is hands down the best center we have ever had.
  7. Feelings about who we should have picked aside….he’s going to be a top CB in this league very quick.
  8. No big deal, we just have to suffer for yet another year. Who is ready for another hot start, then the train wreck for the the other 13 games after that.
  9. At 6? No….if we traded down and picked up an extra 1st, 2nd, or 3rd and got Pickett as well as another opportunity to address the O line with the extra pick? Yes. At 6 it’s Left tackle or we riot
  10. True but who do we even have at LB? We have to bring someone in to fill the role because we currently only have Shaq under contract. We have invested heavy in D line and almost nothing at LB over the last 3-4 years
  11. I could see Shaq at MLB and Chinn filling the OLB/Joker role
  12. Great point on cap space. I wonder which route they will go because technically we have to fill two starter roles. I don’t even know who our backups are at this point for injuries
  13. True. I could see our high 4th round pick possibly being a MLB but we definitely need someone besides Shaq. He’s the only one under contract
  14. Matt Rhule has handled the Middle Linebacker position about as well as he has QB and LT over his first two seasons. With most of our resources going into fixing the offense this offseason (thank god) it makes me wonder what we will do this off-season to address this critical position. While Carter was an upgrade from Whitehead, he is clearly a backup player who is capable of filling in and being solid for a short time. This has always been a position we have thrived at, and is one of the positions that can help shore up our run defense. What would you do to fix huddle GM’s? What realistic free agent catches your eye?
  15. His playbook was decent but his play calling, situational awareness, and adjustments were ass. He may get better with time, but he absolutely deserves to get fired….right along with Rhule.
  16. This is a great topic. If I were GM, and Rhule already decided he was picking QB at 6, I would have already come up with a plan to plug and play two critical roles on the line through FA. Being that this is make believe here is my plan: I fill LT and center in free agency. Being that we need a MLB as well, I go with a stop gap at LT for this year and sign Duane Brown to a contract similar to the one Whitworth signed recently 2 years 17 million. I then sign G/C Bradley Bozeman from the Ravens at an average of 12-13 million per year. That will help us out tremendously compared to last year as Our line would be (Brown LT, Christensen LG, Bozeman Center, TBD RG, Moton RT). We have Erving and Elf as backup LT and C, which is what they should be, and I use the high 4th round pick for the best guard prospect I can find to compete for the RG spot along with Brown from last years class. You can also sign one cheap vet at G to compete for the RG role as this will be a much easier position to fill.
  17. I agree on guards, although we may only need one if Christensen sticks at LG next season. Elf was far from decent though. He wasn’t good at all actually and ended up with a 55 PFF along with being injury prone which he has been almost every year he has played
  18. I would absolutely love to trade back a few spots to pick up a 2nd round pick and still get a stud player on the line with our first. We could also just stick with the best LT at 6. Can you imagine watching a player on our line perform like this rather than being a damn speed bump. I’m sick of being abused in the trenches. GET ME SOME BIG NASTY HOG MOLLIES
  19. All the feels. I can’t wait to have pride in the team again like we did during this run. Such a magical time.
  20. I agree with everything that you said other than Elf showing enough at center. He was horrible, and I cringe thinking about him being depended on as our starter next season
  21. When did we turn down two first and a top of the third round trade to draft Horn? Where did that come from??
