You mean they scale down the play calling due to having a large amount of people on the team that can't be expected to all learn the playbook, and the plays called are more about trying to evaluate players on the team than to actually win a game? 2008 Lions. 2017 Browns. Both played to win their preseason games. 4-0 in preseason. Went 0-16 in regular season.

So uh. Am I the only one not worried about the game calls in a preseason game where winning is the least important aspect?

If Justin Fields played well, we'd be filled with people saying how the Panthers blew their pick. He plays not well? We just need to give him time to grow and eventually be better than the Horn pick.

I would have been absolutely pissed off if they signed a WR3 for what Samuel got. I don't know how you expect the skill position players to accomplish anything with no one blocking.

Cant wait to pay skill positions top money, but have no oline. Which means you can't get the ball to the skill positions. Its a great gameplan some people have.

I mean. Yeah. Don't get me wrong. I am 100% on the Tremble Train. I have the post history of excitement about him to back it up. I was just saying that how the list was ordered (expected yardage/TD production), Pitts is the only one there expected to really do anything. So really, 2nd through anything is more of a "who knows, we'll see". Not a ranking list I feel is important for Tremble.

That isn't really saying much when Pitts is probably the only one actually expecting production.

Would the 9ers admit it anything else? This is just standard "say you always supported the guy you drafted" talk, regardless of the situation.

I am excited about the skill set each brings to the table. Right now, I just want to see someone get hit hard. And Tremble is the newest shiny.

I believe the main factor in Marshall's stats will be Sam. I believe he will get his play time, his target chances, etc. Everything will come down to whether or not Sam steps up in general.

I am on the Tommy Tremble train and I refuse to allow anything to derail me.
