  1. Hiring Shula & his Cam save us playbook.
  2. Don't take this personal, but anyone who watches pregame or game broadcast on any of the four major networks & can't point out a dozen "experts" that Luke would do a better job than, is just not paying attention. IMO
  3. As a glass half-empty guy since Tepper bought the team, this is the most promising draft of recent years, IMO. Rumors from Nebraska say lack of a long snapper is telling, [sarcasm for those who can't tell].
  4. No certain order: Center, Linebacker, Safety. BPA
  5. Thanks for the cut to 8 minutes between picks. Less time I have to listen to at least one of the draft talking heads, the better. [cough cough Kiper].
  6. Not a fan of this signing but when shopping the clearance table, you get the best you can afford. Very likely others wanted more $$ & years to sign. KP, if you are listening, do something BY has never done. Put in a full off-season of prep work. As soon as you sign, before the ink dries, hit the gym, the weight room, the practice field, the film room, whatever it takes. The Panthers have had a QB who came out of the gate, stumbling for the past 3 years. A game 1 win counts the same as a game 17. BY's starting spot is there for the taking, IMO. IF you really want it you have to take it.
  7. Rams were embarrassed in previous game at BOA. Don't expect it twice. Stafford is in a close race for MVP with Maye. He is against our defense, Maye is versus the Chargers this weekend. While our defense may be above average, the Charger's are top 5 in some ratings. If LA can keep Derrick Brown & company under control, Stafford is going to go wild. I will not be surprised to be down 2 scores by halftime & 3+ at the end.
  8. No vote, missing plays so-so option.
  9. I could be mistaken but I believe the Rams are locked into the 6 seed. With a SF win, Seattle still has a game lead on the Rams. Seattle win, SF & Rams are tied in total record & division record [if Rams beat Cardinals], but SF has the better conference record.
  10. Interesting note: If SF wins the last two games. both at home, they will earn the NFC #1 seed & home games & provided they keep winning, they will also play the SB at home.
  11. If it comes to a choice between the two, Cam is much more deserving. Even today there are still sports media & coaches that compare present day & upcoming QBs play to Cam's & not just those with a direct connection to the Panthers.
  12. Shedeur has shown that he is not the problem with Cleveland's QB room. It's too early to name him the long term solution. Cleveland has a owner/FO & coaching staff problem. They still want to prove how smart the Watson trade was & the coaches do not want to put any faith or chance into Shedeur. Why would you bench your QB for a game tying 2pt conversion to run a trick play?
  13. After 3 years of a QB room with only one egg in the basket, it's time for a different approach. 1. Trade Bryce to anyone for anything especially if they take on his salary, 2, Cut Dalton, should have never signed him to begin with. 3. For what or just a little more salary cap saved on BY. sign two of the FA "reclaim projects", Sam, Trey, or other. Tell both they will fight it out for the starting spot & have 3-4 months before TC to get ready. 4. Draft a QB on day 3, plan for him to sit and learn for a year at least. He may not turn into a starter but backup spot has turned into a dire need around the league. There are some interesting QBs from lesser known programs that will be available, some as UDFAs. 5. If Bryce is untradable, take our medicine and cut him anyway.
  14. Don't bury Baker yet! He has been known to play well while banged up. Counting on the Buc's failure, does not translate into our success.
  15. Bryce's performance Sunday, moved his trade value up from a mid day 3 conditional to a late day 2 conditional. IMO.
  16. Right now there are three west coast NFC teams in a 1-2 game window of winning the division or out of the playoffs. San Fran know this and are very unlikely to not give their best effort. I look for them to follow the Saints game plan in shutting down our running game but unlike Atlanta keeping a Defence lineman in front of BY. They may not get a sack, but if they induce BY back into the "bunny hop" throws, it may work better for them, IMO. SF 27 CAR 13
  17. Who is/are this "us" you are referring to? As for me, I've seen more than enough for the past 2+ years for me. We are in a QB hole & the first thing to get out is to stop digging.
  18. This. Don't forget the draft began in 1936. 90 first overall picks. 10 years of AFL drafts before merger. Add in a few years of USFL drafts. Over 100 first overall draft picks & yes, Bryce does crack the top ten busts, IMO.
  19. Definition of insanity: doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results. We've had the same QB room for three years and have had enough excuses posted here to wallpaper BOA. Dalton was spent out before he got here. Young is the same player overall that he has been since he started, IMO. Time to start over regardless of the cost. Nothing will be gained by delaying.
  20. QB question #2 for 2026 was answered yesterday. IMO, question #1 has already been answered, but many on the Huddle say otherwise. IMO, all new QB room in 2026.
  21. If this game had been played 2-3 weeks ago, I could have seen Buffalo over looking the Panthers and paying the price. Right now, the Bills are on the edge of losing their division, wild card game on the road, or missing the play-offs with a loss today & a few more miss steps. Look for them to use this game to "get right". IMO
  22. We have seen this too many times. Rookies, second year & even third year players have trouble with the lesson that a position in the NFL is a 12 month job. There is no off season. To succeed in the NFL, you must constantly work on your craft. That means watching your diet, limit the donuts & fried chicken, hitting the gym or weight room several times a week. In his case, practicing routes weekly until you can run them blindfolded & hitting the Juggs til your arms fall off. Watch game films when no one is looking instead of vegging out on Netflix. I'm sure good people can add to the list.
  23. Actually, it's an age-old problem. Nobody wants to admit they were wrong & don't do anything to correct, thinking tomorrow will prove them right. The problem blew up to outer space levels as the internet expands with the problem reaches almost every facet of life as we know it. I recall the levels of hype preceding the Fitterer/Frank/Young combo that was going to rule the NFL for years. Hundreds of Huddle pages & thousands of posts over the past 3 years later, there are still posters who still point fingers, never admitting any failure on their part.
  24. Am ready to watch some football regardless if it's college or pro. That would be a 10. Dreading the 3yr old antics on the pre-game shows & sifting through the excuses on the Huddle from some posters who end up wrong. That would be a 0. Average a 5 for me.
  25. Good, nah, better, maybe. one good series in a preseason game is not nearly enough to wash the past.
