  1. "I call him 'The Dictator' in the huddle, because I really have problems with calling plays even in year eight," said Newton. "And he kind of helps me. And his playmaking ability on the field is just second-to-none." "Calling a play shouldn't be a paragraph," said Newton, who then congratulated New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees on becoming the NFL's all-time passing leader before juxtaposing himself to him when it comes to playcalling. "I was watching the (Monday Night) game, he called the play and I was like 'Naw. ... We're gonna have to call that a one-liner. 'Panther'! 'Tepper'! 'Rivera'! Somethin'! 'Cause I'll be in the huddle, I'm already tired. ... You only get so much time." “I don’t know why plays are so long – calling a play shouldn’t be a paragraph,” Newton said with a chuckle. “I’ll be in the huddle, I’m already tired – I ain’t got time to say this, that, the third, the third, the third – ready ready, break – you only get but so much time.”
  2. The average oline rank for literally the last 10 years is….. 18. The average rank of the last 4-6 teams left in the NFL come playoffs in the past 20 years is…. like 5. There is a reason people freak out about it. Nothing is worse except a bad defense.
  3. As evident by what? 5 wins? Whitehead? TB? All they’ve shown is they don’t do things like Hurney. That doesn’t mean anything. I’d encourage people to wait and see to ease up on the knee jerk and fire everyone threads if they suck again. They haven’t earned any credit at all so far. It’s painfully obvious the oline is going to be bad, again, it’s baffling how willing they are to just ignore it.
  4. If true, tell Duke to send me a message, lots of catching up, great dude. We are rooting for you out here on the west coast!
  5. And this is correct. We would have broken history positional ranking records in NFL last year had we made the playoffs…all with a first year college coach (more broken records). People must really think we are special.
  6. This is also true for multiple teams every single season. Unless you’re utter trash like the Lions. That’s the difference in the majority of the NFL.
  7. Honestly these are the pieces of poo the NFL has playing in the league. They’re all over the place. I’d recommend just watching it for the sport in the same sense you probably have enjoyed movies with actors in it that have done shitty things, same with music and products you buy and banks you bank with. It’s all a business just the same. If this offends you, not watching the NFL altogether makes more sense than just not wanting a certain player coming to a team.
  8. That’s why they put it on a shirt. I think it’s funny it’s so bad. Yea no one will get it but die hard fans but…who cares? Some people don’t take themselves too seriously and can laugh at themselves believe it or not. These types live significantly longer, happier lives. Some of you people are miserable. That said if Sam does awful it’ll be short lived. If Sam shows promise I’ll pick one up.
  9. Is it not weird to anyone else that the NFL can punish a team by essentially having a non vaccinated players while the players association punish teams them for cutting someone because they’re unvaccinated?
  10. He’s clearly trolling…or one of those few guys here and there hating on CMC because of his race.
  11. Some cap wiz needs to confirm but there is only so much we can rollover based on a crap ton of things. I *think* we have to 80% and in a certain 4 year time period and also the rest of the nfl needs to use a certain amount. And maybe some other stuff, I’m not sure of the specifics (it gets really messy) but I agree we need to save as much as possible to sign Moore and Burns who will not be cheap.
  12. This inaccurately puts people who have objective input on this hypothetical question into a very, very small box. You don’t pick Rhule because he didn’t draft Fields and cut Cam? Come on. There is a lot more to consider.
  13. I guess I am learning how people define being relevant and your bar is national attention. Personally I see it being relevant as a consistent team that were always favorites as a result of a long term string of success. I’m sorry but a team that has not back to back winning seasons has never been relevant speaking from a team’s success - which as a fan is honestly all I see to care about.
  14. I guess we measure relevant to the NFL differently. You seem to measure it by a single season, perhaps a single game whereas I do not.
  15. Which part? Highlight reels - check Bo back to back winning seasons? -check Delhomme 2003-2009 3 playoffs 1 Super bowl Cam 2011-2019* 4 playoffs 1 Super bowl 6 years vs. 8 (but don’t know if you wanna count 2) Tell me how one era all of a sudden was transformed to relevancy. Sorry, it stayed the same. And to help your comprehension, because I feel that is coming, let’s be clear this isn’t a comparison of QBs but rather the era they played in and the team’s relevancy to the NFL. I get it, as Panther fans a successful season means relevant to us but in reality relevancy is a phase of consistent success relatively speaking.
  16. Honestly, Saleh. A lot more experience, less time to adjust, less of an unknown. Straight college to NFL historically has putrid chance of sustained success. Only way to bet on Rhule is to go against the stats and odds. But I hope I am wrong. Depends a lot of where they go too, there aren’t many franchises the Panthers are better than but the Jets may be one. So we have that.
  17. The Panther have not been relevant since inception. Cam provided highlight reels but not relevancy. He was just one player. Still no back to back winning seasons. We won just as many seasons respectively with Delhomme - that ain’t relevancy.
  18. the stans can’t possibly believe Mac has better potential as the future in NE than cam…it must be because he’s not vaccinated, except they resigned him and kept in on this long unvaccinated lol and he wont’t be starting anywhere as everyone other than stans have been saying he is done, not a MVP just sitting there and waiting you don’t draft Mac and don’t play him
  19. Don’t think you read that right, I was talking about a top oline.
