  1. Drafting and moving Sewell to guard would be interesting and a head scratcher to me. If I am a Bengals fan I want to see Jonah Williams kicked inside where I think he will be better off. Play Sewell at LT. Having said that, I think they will pick Chase.
  2. While I agree with this, there is one "possible" scenario that drops Pitts to 8... Jags - TL Jets - ZW 49ers - Mac Atlanta - Lance/Fields Cincy - Sewell Miami - Chase, maybe they value the WR over the TE/Flex since they already have Gesicki.....by the way, if they get Pitts does Gesicki become available? Detroit - Waddle, Smith, Slater, Parsons....they need a lot, and with so many needs I don't see them interested on Pitts when Hockenson is one of very few solid starters there Panthers - Pitts available
  3. Very good talent, but those 4 concussions had him nearly out of football already.
  4. I went DE because there are none in this draft that I like as 1st rounders.
  5. 1 - Lawrence 2 - Wilson 3 - Fields 4 - Pitts 5 - Sewell 6 - Slater 7 - Chase 8 - Waddle
  6. If I were creating a Panthers big board, Chase would be in my top 8 at #7, so yeah if all ahead of him were gone he would be the pick.
  7. Lawrence, Wilson, Fields, Lance, Pitts, Sewell, Slater, Chase There are my top 8 if I'm running the Panthers board. I don't see me trading out and passing on any of these guys. If we traded down, maybe the Broncos at 9 move up in fear somebody else will. The Eagles at 12 for a QB, the Chargers at 13 for Sewell, or Patriots at 15 for a QB are the main teams I could see calling. Washington or Chicago may call, but they aren't going to like my price to move that far back. After those top 8, I would have in order- Parsons, Smith, Waddle, Horn, Surtain, Owusu Koromoah, Vera-Tucker to round out my top 15
  8. Hopefully thats not all you got out of my post? And no I don't want Teddy going back to the Saints where it gives them multiple options going into the season. If Jameis plays terrible, I don't want them having Teddy as a fall back option. As much as I want him out of Charlotte, I don't want him in New Orleans winning games while we are still paying him after we cut him. Their roster is loaded, Teddy went 5-0 there two years ago.
  9. I 100% agree. You cut him and the Saints scoop him up, never just give a divisional rival a deal like that. He can stay here as a backup, and we continue to seek a trade. If not traded now, teams will still be looking for QB depth after the draft and before camps start. If you don't trade him by then, you simply stay patient. There are always injuries/situations that will have teams needing a QB during the season.
  10. Dallas offered 10 and 75 for pick 8....I accepted Chargers offered 77 and 126 for pick 75......I accepted
  11. I see them drafting a LT and kicking Jonah Williams inside to guard where I see him being a good bit more effective.
  12. A lot of talk about the Bengals picking Chase. If I'm the Bengals I pick Sewell/Slater and look to get Burrows other teammate at LSU, Terrace Marshall early on the 2nd round.
  13. Trey Hill - C/G Georgia He battled a few injuries last year, which has cost him to drop some. Start him year 1 at Guard and transition to Center year 2 after Paradis is gone. Marquez Stevenson - Slot Houston Playmaking speedster that can fill the vacancy left by Samuel. A good fit for Joe Brady's offense. James Hudson - T Cincinnati If we miss on picking a tackle early in the draft, here is a guy with the tools, but is very raw. Recruited as a DE by Michigan, transferred to Cincy and has only played Tackle for 2 years. With good coaching, this guy could become very good.
  14. I meant sleeper in the realm of most fans. For instance, you don't see his name mentioned on this board. Obviously NFL GM's snd Coaches should know of him. Glad you posted his arm length. I also want to add that sometimes you have to worry about linemen with his height as it can help defenders get under his pads. However, this guy has good bend at the hips to prevent it being an issue.
  15. Agreed, be patient. 1 - If a team doesn't offer now, that could change after the draft. 2 - If not then, there is still several months before training camp for a team to come get him. 3 - If we make it to training camp, oh well Teddy, suck it up. You don't want to be here any more than we want you here, but you are making a healthy paycheck. 4 - Once the season starts, it only takes one under performing QB or one injury to a QB for a team to come calling. The team and Teddy just have to remain patient. The team will eventually get compensation. Teddy will eventually get traded, and may even have a chance to start if the trade happens under circumstance #4 above.
  16. He was, and thats who the Chargers selected. Sewell/Slater were both available, so I took a chance with the trade down. I have Sewell/Slater really close, and was happy to add Kelvin Joseph, Cameron McGrone, and eventually Deommodore Lenoir because of the trade down. Joseph is a very talented CB who has the potential to become #1 CB in the NFL. If not for an issue as a Freshman, he is a 1st rounder. McGrone is very raw, but very talented. With good coaching, his potential is way above his draft position. Lenoir is a CB that has potential to play instantly in nickle/dime packages. He will also contribute on special teams right away.
  17. Slater does have short arms at 33" However, Sewell's arms are only 1/4" longer at 33.25"
  18. Sewell is a good pick Hill is drafted 2 rounds early here. I recently did my complete mock draft, selected Hill with pick 151 Grant will be gone by midway through round 2 I do like all 3 players as fits for the Panthers though.
  19. If you want that information, then look it up, I could care less. I was only answering the other OP who mentioned that "since we have become a team he felt we had been more competitive than them" Well, I posted the numbers "since" we became a franchise, whats so hard to understand about that? The word "since" means the entire body of work, not a couple back to back seasons. In that body of work, the Panthers have more wins, less losses, more playoff wins, and more SB appearances. Edit: When you look up those back to back winning seasons, don't forget tge back to back losing seasons.
  20. And by watching them I would believe that. Unreal
  21. Chargers offered picks 13 and 47 for pick 8....I accepted. I offered pick 47 to the Packers for picks 62, 92, and 214....they accepted. 214 is not in play for this thread, so I want post that result.
  22. Since the Panthers inaugural season in 1995..... Panthers: 200 wins, 215 losses, 1 tie Jets: 183 wins, 233 losses Playoffs.... Panthers: 9 wins, 8 losses Jets: 3 wins, 7 losses Super Bowl appearances.... Panthers: 2 Jets: 0 Super Bowl wins.... Panthers: 0 Jets: 0
