I agree with others that this seems like the panthers are getting hosed on the trade. Keep in mind i am team trade down at either 33 or 39 but you have to get something valuable in return as most teams have: ~ 15-20 first round players ~ 25 players with a round two grade So if you fall all the way to 55 you are likely getting a guy with a third round grade

Two high bust potentials at 33 and 39 Coleman can't seperate. I love the idea of adding a true X to this offense but unfortunately outside of the top 3, AD mitchell and BTJ I don't believe there is an x worth taking at 33 or 39 I'd rather take Ladd

I'm not very high on him, his best comp is Robbie Anderson. I wouldn't take him at 33 or 39, now late second or early third is a different story.

The only guys I'd personally rush to the podium at 33 are: Bowers, DeJean, JPJ, AD Mitchell, or Graham Barton. I'd be very happy with Ladd as well. Leggette is the hardest prospect for me to figure out. I wouldn't take him at 33 and my preference would be to take him in a trade down scenario but I've read some people hearing that he may go in the first round. I almost hope someone else takes him in the first just so we aren't left with the dilemma of taking him or not Guys I am not personally high on as I think they all have too high of bust potential: Chop Robinson, Troy Franklin, Keon Coleman, Xavier Worthy, Kamari Lassiter, Jatavion Sanders (this is my biggest please do not draft) My favorite player in this class is Rome

It's all about two things: building a sustainable future (not tying up cap with bad contracts, hitting on draft picks, accumulating not burning future draft capital) AND finding out if Bryce is the guy

He certainly has the worst draft record of any of our former GMs. It's hard to know just how much say he had in his first drafts with Rhule tho

I d love to draft the Notre Dame back, Tenn Back or Ray davis in the fifth round. Unlikely they will be there but we have so many other crucial needs right now we can't spend a 2,3, or 4th on RB

we basically gave up nothing for him and haven't done anything stupid like signing him to an extension before watching him play (cough sam darnold cough). It was an excellent move to improve our WR room considering our limited resources and a poor pool of FA options

good thread. I think Clowney is still our best option but even he scares me. He has been highly inconsistent throughout his career and I fear being on the best defense in the league last year benefited him/made him look great. While being on our defense next year he will be pedestrian. Either way edge is now fuged with trading Burns. We basically have to hope an insane edge rusher is available in the draft next year when we are picking ~ top 3.

I 100% think we are targeting him at 33 or 39 We do not have an X WR in this offense, I think they like his physical build and production and believe he is an ascending player. I don't hate the idea but I do hate locking into one guy predraft. You can have your guys, but if a top talent falls you can't pass on that to draft him

In all seriousness even with a great draft I see us going: 1-5 in the division. We steal one game against the Saints. We lose two to the Falcons, nearly beat the Bucs once. Lose at home to Giants, cowboys, chiefs, cardinals and bengals; we beat the chargers On the road we beat denver, and lose the rest 3-14

and we will miss out on a generation edge prospect by like two picks
