How can an NFL team be this bad. I really thought I'd last longer than 1 hr into the first game of the year
-
I think you can argue this all you want, but everything I've seen recently, and honestly more than just recently, NFL deep passes has been considered 20 yds+. Every article I've read over the last several years that quantifies "deep" passes and defines the term, defines it as 20+ yds. How that became the standard, idk, but it seems to be. I haven't read past this post, but I suspect you are yelling at clouds basically.

Call me crazy, but we might have improved the pass rush after all

I think I'm too stupid to understand this chart. Particularly that second one. -
How to list & hopefully sell PSLs plus season tickets
Luciu5 replied to raleigh-panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
This is great info for non-PSL owners. I wouldn't mind getting a PSL while they are "on sale". The team won't stink forever. There are some PSL's at the 50 yard line for only like $5k per seat. I wondered what you'd get for that and how much cost there would be on top of that. Your post answered a lot of my questions. -
Don't know if it's been asked, but what are their snap counts? Similar?

Bet you can't find someone who says we should not keep Burns or that he is overvalued. I don't mean internet randos. I mean actual quotes from a professional, either media or inside the NFL - the people who's job it is to live and breath NFL football. Bet you can't find anyone who's an actual professional speak about Brian Burns the way the huddle does. Fans of 31 teams would raise their hands if asked if they'd like Brian Burns on their team. The huddle way undervalues him. I'm not saying he's worth $30MM, don't get it twisted. Y'all act like he's one of the worst players on defense. It's absolute insane to me.

Nothing backs this statement up. You can say eye test, but every stat, analysis, chart and professional opinion I've seen says he's one of the most accurate passers in the league. I didn't watch every game, but the games I did see, your statement about hitting a barn sounds like hyperbole. Maybe you need glasses?

This is what Shanahan said in his press conference. They want to go in a different direction with defensive scheme. Said he went back and watched the whole season.

Yes he has a display in Canton.

Chicago sun times: Julius Peppers selected to hall of fame

By chance, has anyone been to the induction ceremony? Is it worth it? My wife has known him since like 1992. They went to school together in Nash county back in the day. I think it's been like 10 years since they've spoken. Not sure if he still follows her instagram. -
Is this the worst GM/Coach combo in Panthers history?

His wife veto'd him. -
CBS will air the Super Bowl in 4K (but there's a catch)
Luciu5 replied to PanthersATL's topic in Carolina Panthers
That is not because it's 4k. It's a motion smoothing setting that can be turned off in all TV's settings. It looks good for sports imo, but it makes everything else look like a soap opera. -
I mean, if you remember 80's TV shows then you are definitely old enough to remember V.

I'm not sure if you meant it this way, but I don't think anyone thinks of themselves like this. "Dude why do you keep trying to give me a job when you see I got all these red flags." I think if he felt he wasn't cut out for a HC job, or didn't want a HC job, he wouldn't be taking the interviews. I think it's more likely he's using some teams to drive up the price for the team he actually wants to coach for. Either that, or he is truly just trying to get a ring with Detroit. Maybe he sees staying as OC is a better chance for a ring than moving to HC now.

I really hate that thread was locked. That post was so absolutely nuts, the entertainment value lost is such a shame.

I'm sorry, but our coach can be kinda cringe.

.... So tldr, nothing specific, more gut feeling which may be actually caused by outside factors; like my own personal experiences, and Matt Rhule. At this point, I just need people to prove they can walk the walk. I don't care if they can talk the talk. There was a whole nother paragraph here, but I deleted that becasue I think there was too much nuance and context. The tldr version is much more concise.

I wasn't impressed. I have more faith in Dan than Dave Canales. He sounds like he's in over his head. I have no faith in any of it until I see it.
