  1. To be honest with you. And I like Horn on a personal level. The prevailing reason he is a Panther is because he played for South Carolina. We've done this multiple times now coveting players because of their local ties. We seem to prioritize this.
  2. I despise him but Sean Payton is certainly a good offensive mind and he can get results out of some seriously mediocre QB's.
  3. @TrevorLaurenceTime22 As if you aren't intimately familiar with everyone here
  4. Well that first Broncos drive came and went in an instant. What a shame.
  5. The poster who bumped the thread has gone out of his way to be vocally defensive of Bryce Young for years. Try to keep up or don't quote me.
  6. You bumped a thread from 4 years ago about throwing downfield but this isn't about Bryce Young....
  7. Priorities ILB - High draft pick and FA signing Edge - Veteran FA signing C - Draft pick or FA. We cannot let our depth at the position return to days of yesteryear with Bryce Young at QB. It will end terribly. TE - FA signing As far as backup QB's go I think we should all prepare for the QB room to be kept largely intact. I don't like it or agree with it but that's the likely outcome.
  8. One QB has led teams to 14 wins and 15 wins in consecutive seasons and an actual human being is arguing a QB who was swept by the rebuilding Saints led by a rookie 2nd round pick is more clutch.
  9. Also. For all the criticism of Teddy Bridgewater being a checkdown king and rarely throwing downfield he was 15th in yards per attempt the one season he played here. Compare that to Bryce who just finished the season 30th in yards per attempt.
  10. lol @ bumping this thread thinking it's some kind of gotcha. Nobody ever doubted Darnold's physical abilities as a passer. Legitimately that throw that Sam Darnold made from his own end zone at the end of the game against the Vikings to Ian Thomas of all people is as good or better than any throw Bryce Young has made in his career so far.
  11. What has become of Xavier Legette and Jonathan Brooks today in not only the same draft but in rounds 1 and 2 (and traded UP for both) is difficult to overlook with the current needs we have across the roster present day. Makes the shoe shining for the FO some insist on even more bewildering.
  12. Most people will agree with this in principle. But it's situational and also depends on the results you're getting. We were middle of the league in sacks given up. Had the 27th passing offense. And if a few instances that went our way turned out differently we very likely could have been staring at another 5 win season. For the highest salary cap percentage to the OL in the entire league. While we had basically nothing at linebacker and not much at all consistent pass rush to speak of as we were leaning on two rookies. And despite all that our defense which has been on a lopsided end of investment compared to the offense managed to go from league worst and giving up historic single season points in 2024 to middle of the league in 2025 which is quite impressive all things considered. So yes the investment in the OL versus the results certainly matters or at least to should to anyone that would like to continue to improve and also maybe finally win another playoff game.
  13. I'm interested to see which version of Sam Darnold shows up today.
  14. Very illuminating rebuttal. Thank you for gracing us with your insights.
  15. I have no idea why you are so irrationally upset about the notion that going out and spending $150 million free agency dollars on two interior offensive linemen could be construed as a panic response after our #1 pick we traded a fortune for had one of the worst rookie seasons of the last 25 years. It is objectively what transpired. Dan Morgan as of right now is a mixed bag. Some really good some so so some not so good some bad some really bad. You take any rational criticism personally like you are related to him or something. That's something you'll have to figure out for yourself. Anyways. The predicament Dan Morgan finds himself in for this year will define his future as GM. I sincerely hope he navigates it to perfection. But the circumstances are largely of his own creation. And not just in his stint as GM but going back to his time as assistant GM. Which conveniently people like yourself don't like to talk about. That is the reality of the situation. I like how you will carry water for Dan Morgan to the point of getting into random spats with people but make no mention of Bryce Young's glaring limitations and shortcomings as a starting QB yet go out of your way to put the onus of our struggles squarely on Canales. I mean I've been quite critical of Canales too but he sure isn't the only one to blame for our problems.
  16. I'll be direct and to the point. If you can't handle difference of opinion without making it personal because I am not being a sycophant to your standards then do not quote me. We can disagree without this nonsense. As far as the matter at hand. I think Lewis and Hunt are good at what they do. I like them. I wanted us to address the OL. I wanted to do it largely via the draft though. We went the instant results path and now we have the highest paid OL in the league and the results are the same as the Texans who gave up the same number of sacks as us (37) but the difference is they are 25 out of 32 in salary cap dedicated to the OL while we are #1. And they have a more balanced roster to show for it. Now we are at a crossroads where we are basically cornered into investing even more resources into the OL for what was ultimately the 27th passing offense. This is not good. If you're arguing with me on that point then we have nothing further to discuss. Goodnight.
  17. Since the Cavs loss we've won the last two games. On any given gameday this team either shoots lights out from behind the arc or they look like they're doing their best Carlton impression.
  18. We'll see how Morgan navigates it. For all the resources we tied up in two OG's in free agency I would argue Center had been our biggest problem going back to 2020. We need quality depth there. The problem now is Morgan's panic signings in Lewis and Hunt paired with the now very murky future of Icky make this even trickier. Ya know. It sure would have been nice to draft a future Center a few years ago instead of an already injured RB.
  19. I guess some fans have already forgotten the Paradis/Elflein days. Center should remain a top priority.
  20. I don't think McCarthy is the worst possible hire they could have made but if he couldn't get it done with multiple teams in the NFC he's doomed in the AFC with a rebuilding Steelers and no viable long term QB. I can't stand Steelers fans in general but especially the local bandwagon ones around here so this is hilarious.
  21. LB and DL are the priority. Let the chips fall where they may in the first round of the draft and take the best player available.
  22. I have no idea if he would pan out as an NFL coach I mean stranger things have happened. But if the argument that he could pan out is based on his NFL career my position is he has been comically overrated. To have had the hall of fame talent around him on the Chargers and only sniff one conference championship is pitiful.
  23. If the Bills are even remotely considering Rivers everyone in that front office needs a welfare check.
  24. In a perfect world I agree. But a Moose level reunion is not realistic in this era of the league with how crazy contracts are now. By comparison his contract with the Bears before he came back to us worth $30 million with only $12 million guaranteed. Compare that to DJ Moore at $110 million with $82.6 million guaranteed and have yourself a nice chuckle.
