When we weren’t getting screwed by Pineiro, we were getting screwed by the refs. We have progressively gotten better the past three weeks, the team on the field today would have beat the team we had last week. This game would have never been close with Rhule. Winnable game next week and a rematch with the Falcons right after. Still 9 games left. I actually came away from this game with confidence, I haven’t seen this much fight out of the team in years.

What’s your 2023 QB big board (including Corral)
Cdparr7 replied to Wundrbread33's topic in Carolina Panthers
Hooker Levis Young Stroud Corral -
I am still on the Levi’s/Hooker bandwagon.

We pretty much have to take a RB on day 2 in the draft, right?
Cdparr7 replied to t96's topic in Carolina Panthers
Probably one of our 3rds or a 4th plus a FA guy. -
DJ is not getting traded. Burns maybe, Shaq maybe, Brown unlikely but maybe.

I think if Sam comes in and provides a steady hand and wins a few ball games they would bring him back on a team friendly deal. I don’t think he has a problem being the back up QB. Baker is going to demand that he start or compete for the starting role wherever he goes or he’s going to cry about it.

I think Levis is the safest option anyways. I’ve ready many takes saying he is the most pro ready QB in the draft from the systems he’s been in.

No I don’t have a point at all, I just wanted to share my tears of how awful we have been at the position for 5 years

CMC is good but he’s not Steve Smith good. Steve would get in your head, sling you around, break tackles, make catches that receivers a foot taller couldn’t. He wreck your brain and your body.

Join me in the pity circle Kyle Allen: 6-7 Cam Newton: 6-15 Sam Darnold 4-7 Teddy Bridgewater: 4-11 PJ Walker: 2-1 Baker Mayfield: 1-4 Taylor Heineke: 0-1 Will Grier: 0-2

Panthers designated Sam Darnold to return from IR.

Now that Robbie is gone, who is (or who should be) our #2 receiver?
Cdparr7 replied to SCO96's topic in Carolina Panthers
Moore Smith Viska Higgins Marshall Wright -
He will be 29 next season- about the same age as Kuechly when he retired. Thomas Davis lasting as long as he did was an anomaly and partly due to him not taking hits on his body for 3 years due to his ACL issues.

Most people on the board are aware of Shaq’s age and financial burden on the team. Trading him or cutting him makes sense this off-season. Especially with Luvu, Smith, and whoever we may bring in with draft capital we may acquire for him. What would be a good deal for Shaq? YGM has never really turned into the Mike Rucker people thought he would be. (Look at his production and 46.5 PFF grade). Edge rushers are valuable, especially young ones with rookie contracts. What kind of compensation do you think the Panthers would get for YGM?

Elflein, Derrick Brown, Gross-Mayos (Who is horrible btw), Shaq, Tremble, Chuba, and the Baylor/Temple depth players

Pass Blocking, not total grade. y’all should see Motons run grade for the season. It’s like 46 but his pass grade is mid 70s.

When I think of the Panthers, I think of a good TE and MLB. We haven’t had either in years.

Sounds like Scott Fitterer will continue as Panthers GM in '23
Cdparr7 replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
I really don’t know why people want to keep anything that has to do with this regime. It’s one of the darkest parts of our franchise history. I think the best thing for the team is to clean house from the GM office to the coaching staff, and build up as much cap and draft capital as we can. I think people are just shell shocked because we had a bad rebuild with incompetent people. -
It’s not that bad. We just need: -A head coach, new coaching staff, a franchise QB, a RB since we are probably trading McCaffrey, a Tight End, an X receiver, a Y receiver, a fullback, a middle linebacker, a pass rushing DE since we might trade Burns, a run stopping DE, and a nickel corner. And maybe a Will Linebacker if Shaq goes. But that’s it and we are golden.

Any Panthers card collectors out there? Mail Day!
Cdparr7 replied to OnlyPantherFaninMaine's topic in Carolina Panthers
I had a Drew Carter autographed rookie card. I really thought it was going to be something. -

It’s pure speculation at this point but it makes too much sense with their history in Buffalo. People like Fitterer because of the trades, but when you have Marty Hurney for 2 decades it’s hard to not like the next guy. Besides, what has Fitt really done? He doesn’t get any of the blame for the cap mess and wasted capital? Matt Rhule had him in a chicken wing with his head pressed against the monitor making him make the deals? No. Dorsey is a control freak if you can’t tell from how he handles himself on the field and in interviews. Those personalities gravitate towards people they are familiar with. -
PJ Walker on Robbie leaving or live ping pong coverage?

I hope the next head coach takes a sledge hammer to it. -

I’ll bet a month’s salary if Dorsey comes down, Fitt’s days are numbered and Morgan will be GM.
