Interesting players that could be available for our second at 57: Landon Jackson Edge 46, Darius Alexander 47 DT Toledo, Nick Scourton 49 Edge, Azareye'h Thomas 50 CB. Add one of those players to Mason Graham or Jalon Walker and we are off to a good start for the D. Next up would be wr.

Panthers Prospect Visits/Meetings (Final Update-4/22)
rebelrouser replied to kungfoodude's topic in Carolina Panthers
Agree which is why our pick at 57 and giving the Bears our 39 hurts so much. -
Yeah, Steelers don't have a second round pick so no. The first half of the second round is going to be full of potential starters. I hate we don't pick again until 57.

Every team has different evaluations and needs. I think Sanders falling is a real possibility and the two OT's, TE, and top WR and RB might actually be at 8 too. It is no guarantee though and a plan needs to be in place in case we don't get any offer to trade back.

Everyone keeps adding fuel to the fire that is simply not there. Anonymous allegation in h.s. not even questioned, which means the accuser did not go to the police. Anonymous allegation in college not even questioned, which means the accuser did not go to the police. In the current age of Title IX, allegations brought to the attention of the school/police would have been investigated. These were not. Prison? Really, when Deshawn Watson is still the qb for the Browns?

As of today, who would you draft at number 8?
rebelrouser replied to PleaseCutStewart's topic in Carolina Panthers
I said before that our strategy should be 1. Mason Graham...if gone...2. trade back....if no good offer....3. Jalon Walker. Since your scenario removed 1 and 2, i would draft Walker. My biggest fear is not his tweener status or size but rather the ability of a good creative DC to get the most out of him. -
The Panthers have yet to reach the postseason under Tepper, the 67-year-old founder of Appaloosa Management, who bought the franchise for $2.275 billion in 2018. It’s not just fans complaining about his ownership, either: In the NFL Players Association’s most recent survey of its members, Tepper received a D-, the second-worst grade among the league’s 32 owners. Forbes. LOL.

Trading Down Could be a Gold Mine in This Draft!!
rebelrouser replied to Hoenheim's topic in Carolina Panthers
i'm set on my draft strategy: 1. Mason Graham; if no Mason Graham...2. Trade down; if no good offer to trade down...3. Jalon Walker. The only trade down scenarios i see would be Sanders dropping or someone really wanting one of the OT's. No one is going to give us a quality trade for the TE, WR, or Edge. -
Stanford has a losing NIL strategy. Reich and Luck will be looking for new jobs soon.

LOL, so true.

Bill Barnwell Panthers mock draft trades
rebelrouser replied to Peon Awesome's topic in Carolina Panthers
This but a more even trade down would be nice. The difference between 8 and 18 is not that great when you have the amount of needs we have. -
Panthers Prospect Visits/Meetings (Final Update-4/22)

I'm so disappointed Ole Miss did not make the playoff. Princely, Jared Ivey, Walter Nolan, Chris Paul, Trey Amos, JJ Pegues, Tre Harris, and Jaxson Dart. Ratings -
Panthers Prospect Visits/Meetings (Final Update-4/22)

But they run him in the wild cat!!!!!! Seriously, you hope he becomes TJ Hockenson, which is perfectly fine, but not at 8 for a team that doesn't stress the TE position. -
If Carter falls past 3 or 4 do you pick up the phone?
rebelrouser replied to micnificent28's topic in 2015 NFL Draft
He would be too expensive and we are still recovering from giving up draft capital. Our options at 8 should be: 1. Mason Graham; 2. no Mason Graham, trade back; 3. No good trade back deal, take Walker who can rush and play lb. One of those three options will be available. -
Dan Morgan and Brandt Tilis press conference
rebelrouser replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
I think you can leave out special teams based on limited playing time. BPA for a position of need is simply not BPA; it is drafting for need. The two most likely available players at 8 who are at the top of their position are Jeanty and the LSU tackle. -

...it is not BPA. -

That is most likely going to be Ashton Jeanty. -

Source? I've only seen the high school and UVA stories where he was never even questioned by authorities or even UVA coaching staff.

Tyler Warren seems to be more Hockenson than Bowers, which is why i don't feel good about him at 8.

Drafting a tight end in the first round is a crap shoot. Bowers was great Hockenson was pretty good but Pitts and Fant weren't.
-
We are really going to miss that second round pick we gave to the Bears this year. #39 is going to be a really good player.
-
Once upon a time, people said that about Mingo and Leggette. Let's hope they learned their lesson. I think these writers just look at the mocks and then write a story that Carolina is interested in _______ and hope the mocks add some small amount of credibility. Of course the Panthers have a reputation of showing their cards so who knows. I hope they aren't giving anything away this year.

Panthers Prospect Visits/Meetings (Final Update-4/22)
rebelrouser replied to kungfoodude's topic in Carolina Panthers
Oof. I pulled him in a mock in like 4-5 round and felt good about it. That might be his ceiling now.
