  1. Just read up on this guy and his history does not instill much confidence. Where all the rookie kickers at?
  2. I don’t think I can ever remember a training camp/preseason where we’ve seen so little from the team. We have to go from 80 to 53 and I can’t even make a prediction because I don’t think I’ve seen the majority of these guys touch a football.
  3. Like I said in the Robbie extension thread, Rhule and co understand the value of team chemistry. Dude was injured all TC and was probably pissed because he signed here thinking the starting MLB spot was a lock. Glad his injured, unvaxxed ass in gone.
  4. Yup this is it right here. Would have to be younger players as well so either Laramey Tunsil or Darious Leonard.
  5. Marshall caught 6 passes and Smith caught 3 so far this preseason and PFF has enough info to come up with their magic grades. Yes our rookie wide outs look promising and yes PFF is still garbage.
  6. Which is why I added the line about Rhule understanding the value of team chemistry. Morgan's extension made him one of the highest paid linebackers at the time on a team with a lot of highly paid veterans. They had also used a first rounder on Thomas Davis who they converted to linebacker to replace Witherspoon. Panthers only had the cap space to sign either Morgan or Witherspoon at the time and they clearly made the wrong decision based off Morgan's injury history. (I don't think Morgan ever played an entire 16 game season) Robbie's contract makes him around the 20th highest paid WR and the Panthers are looking to have 30m+ in cap space next season. The situations aren't even remotely similar.
  7. I don’t think you guys realize how close DJ and Robbie are. There kids call them uncle and they’ve said they have a little/big brother relationship. This extension almost guarantees DJ will be staying a Panther. I’d be willing to bet DJ lobbied for them to extend Robbie. Team chemistry is a big deal and I’m sure Rhule and co know that.
  8. I get that Syle having the strongest leg in the league helps his value with kick off duties and the ability to attempt record breaking field goals. (Unfortunately he missed all of those kicks last season)But it’s getting to the point where he needs to be cut or we need to deploy the kick off specialist strat this season. Who here remembers our friend from over the pond Rhys Lloyd?
  9. I’m also interested. Count me in.
  10. Rhule and co are probably trying to hard to be big brain and don’t want any film of Darnold and our offense out there so come week one we unleash sole poo no one has seen on the Jets. Chances are this backfires and we come out looking sloppy and out of sync because our starting unit hasn’t played any meaningful snaps together.
  11. Our depth is alarmingly bad. I'm expecting a lot of pick ups from other teams once final cuts happen.
  12. I’m mean the writing is on the wall. Melo, Miles, and Terry are the young core of this team. It’s not a coincidence they were all at summer league together with Borrego. JB got his extension, now Terry, and I’m sure Miles will get his soon as well. Hayward is that veteran rock a young team needs. You can almost bet the team is going to try and use PJ as the main trade piece at or before the deadline for a big man who can contribute significant minutes.
  13. Would you rather have 2 average to slightly above average tackles or one Probowl RT and a Turnstile at LT?
  14. Of all the comps I’ve seen thrown around I’m surprised no one has said Dez Bryant. They’re built almost identically and Dez was great throughout his career high pointing contested catches over DBs. Being a guy who will win you those 50/50 jump balls was one of Marshall’s biggest strengths coming out of the draft.
  15. Damn that does not look like a guy who runs a 4.62 40. He burned someone a few days back for a nice 40ish yard TD. Darnold hit him in stride in the back of the end zone.
  16. The funny thing is Plumlee and Kai are an upgrade over an Injury prone Cody Zeller and stone handed Biz.
  17. Mitch Kupchak you beautiful son of a bitch!
  18. Monk currently is a free agent and this team needs every bit of cap space to sign a starting Center. This was a fantastic value/pick.
  19. He’s arguable the best pure scorer in the draft. He’s super explosive and has a nasty step back jumper.
  20. He is basically replacing Cody Zeller for much cheaper and we upgraded our second round pick in the process. Still not used to the Hornets making smart moves like this.
