  1. With Wonnum cemented in the rotation and Barno near return, we're almost near the EDGE room Morgan intended on for the season w/Clowney, Wonnum, DJJ, & Amare. Harris was an expendable midseason pickup. And this waiver pickup from Minny looks interesting. Good competition for the other back of roster guys.
  2. Karlaftis and Danna have been pretty inconsistent so teams have been doubling Jones and able to contain their pass rush. But the good thing is that yesterday, we schemed well against Steve Spags Defense, Canales married the surrounding personnel with his QB through play designs within his comfort zone and was able to get downfield at will. He was able to execute higher difficulty throws and look a lot more comfortable. It tells me that Canales has a good system in mind, and had an edge gameplanning wise against Spagnuolo - which is nice to see. It's a bit to see-saw at times with either going way too pass heavy or way too run heavy, but I think he's finding out what works. It takes time to have it come together, and sure, I could see regression happen against a better front-7, but this was good for the entire system gelling.
  3. Yeah Giants and Raiders have the inside tracks for 1-2. Think we're at highest, pick 3. The talent with you get with McMillan, Hunter, Graham, etc. far outweighs QBs. This QB class gives me the ick.
  4. Solid and fair assessment. I will say, one of the big things I noticed yesterday was that he wasn't shy to step up into the pocket in the face of pressure. He's trusting the IOL. And they took care of Chris Jones yesterday. We had clean pockets but also good success rate vs. pressure which just hasn't been the case with Bryce. If he has more confidence the OL gets it done and he can navigate and step up for throws, that's huge. It's one of the biggest things that's held him back. He was previously bailing quickly and just too easily throwing away or making dead plays. 11/14 155 yards and a TD vs. the blitz He was finding his 2nd to 3rd reads within structure/without bailing in the pocket. That was nice to see, as much concern I have with him. And the overall limitations will always be there. Time to back it up this week against the Bucs.
  5. Yeah, we could still very well end up 4-13 with the 2nd pick. I think LVR has the inside track for 1, with only a JAX team as a team on docket that could be beatable.
  6. I think the Bucs and Eagles take care of us but we turn around and beat the Cowboys. ATL and/or AZ could be wins depending on which version of them you get. TB knows Canales’ offense, and Coen has been calling great games. I have a hard time seeing us beat them this season. 4-13 floor 6-11 ceiling, would be surprised to see 7-10
  7. Super. Means he's out and abooot
  8. Bryce did look a lot different today. Not afraid to step up and navigate while moving forward in the pocket. He hasn’t been doing that- huge improvement IMO. Time to back it up next week
  9. IDC if people think the 10-1 defending champs are playing soft so far this year. These guys look bought in and played hard today. Tough loss but they played great. (Mostly - we had some bad apple plays)
  10. Alright alright alright. Time for a Tremble 70 yard TD lol
  11. Let's get a stop here. We've got a chance now.
  12. He's like a Trey Burton. Do we NEED to retain him? No. But he's made things happen at times. Meh.
  13. Time for this defense to make something happen if they want to stay in this. Can't believe we're in this game right now.
  14. He's been fine in his role the past few years. Has had nice TDs, good moments, but he can't have games like today. He's set us back a bit today.
  15. I've liked Tremble, has had nice moments as a TE2, but this is not a good day for the guy. Yikes.
  16. Okay, David Moore is having himself a random as hell day. There we are.
  17. Cmon perfect chance for Brooks' first TD
  18. Per the in-game update. - he went to the local ED. Concussion is the diagnosis. Hopefully it's nothing too major. Just want to give him his own thread and a major shout to the guy. He's really shown improvement this season. Here's to this hopefully being something he can get past and recover swiftly from. *New update: They are evaluating his neck. Sending our best. Sh*t
  19. He’s a tad behind them. Around 15ish of 32 starters in the league. He’s well ahead of a lot of guys. Tua, Bryce, Cousins (present), Rodgers (current), Devito/Jones, Minshew, Russ (current), Watson, Smith, Carr, T Laws deep ball is weak as poo IMO, there’s plenty. And it’s not like everyone is ripping 60+ers. The key component is if you can rip and maintain velocity of the 30-40 yarders which he does super well. Legit every report out there from Brugler to PFF to PFN document him as good/above average arm strength. Eye test tells me it’s pretty much that as well, slightly above average.
  20. optimistic side given Chuba's share: 9 carries, 45ish yards, 3 catches, 30ish yards
  21. 4 carries, 17 yards. 2 catches, 27 yards. And we will all overreact.
  22. The Oregon system allowed him to show off his accurate deep ball and the big plays produced with Franklin make it deceiving. Note - He had one of the top rated deep ball grades in CFB last year (95.5) and at the same time, was 1st in producing the least amount of turnover worthy plays and least amount of negative yards in all of CFB. He has what I see as top-15ish arm strength. Above average NFL. He's not cracking the Allen/Herbert/Mahomes tier, but he's not far behind Dak/Baker. When the ball is out, it's consistent and always under control, strong velocity. He had the super-senior experience and the pre-snap read experience to call out protections and looks. All in all, it's a pick that in retrospect is an easy one to tie Peyton to. His best assets are his ability to avoid sacks, smart reads, agility, & mobility.
  23. Speaking to progression and not the final product or stat lines. Those were statistically his two big games, but he has been making some great throws and it's been a steady increase of those over time. He's getting better and being coached up. It's not just the two inflated games, he's been getting a hang of things really nicely. Not to mention, having some burners has helped him as well.
  24. I know most of this place doesn't favor Bryce, so I'm preaching to the choir. Also - screw the Broncos and Peyton. Okay, with that being said... Seeing what Nix has done this season is something we should all tune into. Why? His first two games were, well bad would be putting it lightly. He looked in over his head, pro-level shocked, you could see the anxiousness. He needed to settle down in the pocket and adjust to the game. And you know what? He did just that. And as the season has progressed, he has got better and better each week. All this through OL injuries and weapons like Sutton, Vele (who?), Lil'Jordan Humphrey (who?) & Mims, he has managed to ascend and bring himself into ROTY contention over Jayden Daniels & Brock Bowers. And he's making advanced throws, layering in the second level, put them in position to beat KC the other week until the ST unit lost it. The short version of my point - Bryce's recent "progression" is relative. This is the type of progression you would like to see as a season goes on and a kid gets adjusted to the pace of the NFL. Bo Nix Notable 2024 Stats (Through 11 games): 19 TDs (14 pass, 4 rush, 1 rec), 6 INTs, 2,275 pass yards, 295 rushing, 65.5% comp, 6.4 YPA Last 5 games: 10 TD, 1 INT, 1,193 pass yards, 115 rushing, 70.6% comp, 7.4 YPA
