    That was not a hospital ball. The defender was not in front of him. Stop being stupid just because you hate Darnold. It should have been a penalty. The rule was put in place to protect defenseless receivers regardless of clean hit or not.

    Clean or not, that is still hitting a defenseless receiver. He gave the receiver no chance to run which is what the rule is supposed to be about.
