  2. Woof.. heavy read. Good reminder how athletes are still humans.
  3. What I find crazy is that we all know that about him, but he was still considered a 1st round WR but everyone. It not like we drafted an unknown player - the entire world missed on KB.
  4. If Im a GM and drafting them for their career its Ray. But you cannot be disappointed with anyone on that list. Man Luke 'should' still be playing.. this defense would be lights out.
  5. Kelvin Benjamin 3.49...................
  6. That seems like the dumbest of ideas.... its not like its a billion dollar organization or anything...
  7. Question about our draft room... Looks like its in a hallway... How does this compare to other teams draft rooms... our looks cheap?
  8. Skill wise its a no brainer that Watson would help us win more games then the 2 rookies. We would instantly become a contender with Watson. That said there is ALL the other stuff that comes along with him. Im happy it didnt work out. I would have been conflicted about the team had we signed him.
  9. Yeah its an awkward situation. I mean the Rooney Rule is an awkward rule to begin with. I can understand the reason for it but the method seems to create these sham interviews.
  10. Solid C? Harsh man. Just look at the Henderson pick its self.. Henderson had a predraft grade of 6.72 Stingley and Gardner had a predraft grades of 6.5 and 6.72 So comparatively we 'drafted' the best corner in the draft with a 3rd round pick. Fitt did a great job with the trades and his choice selections. This was a fantastic haul
  11. I didn't see this anywhere online and wanted to make a comprehensive list. Ikem Ekwonu Sam Darnold CJ Henderson Matt Corral Brandon Smith Amaro Barno Cade Mays Kalon Barnes
  12. If we finish with a top 5 draft pick next year I dont think it matters who is playing QB for us our NEW HC will pick the next QB. The only way Corral prevents us from drafting a QB is if he has a rookie season comparable to Davis Mills. If that happens we are all happy.
  13. OP Im sure you knew you were going to get crapped on for this post.. That said I dont disagree with your logic. Corral is and was not drafted to be the savior. I think people want him to be - because hes not Sam but chances are that he is not. BUT when you dont have a franchise QB you HAVE to take shots. A 3rd round pick regardless of position is not guaranteed to be a starter. So its not wasting a pick on Corral. Its throwing the dice and taking chances. Its a worth while bet.
  14. Man if he can find a way to make the starting lineup we would have a legit young group.
  15. I like the positivity. I think part of his appeal to me what is approach to delegation. I think he swung for the fences with Brady and that didnt work. Last year it seemed like Brady was the driving force to bring in Darnold and that didnt work. I think he has better people around him now. It will still be a tough season as our schedule sucks but I think we will see major improvement.
  16. Is there actually a noticeable difference? Im a Rhule supporter but I always think that we are happy with his drafts. This year is no different. Im not mocking your post, just curious to see what you think has changed.
  17. Interesting topic. I think this was always 100% media driven which caused bad advice to agents and thus to players. Look at the Carolina narrative, most mocks had us picking a QB and then in their analysis of the pick they all said it was a terrible QB class - but we HAD to have one. I dont think the evaluations from the media people and teams were off, just desire of the media to generate click bait by forcing team to take them and writing headlines about them.
  18. Sam need to light the world on fire to keep that spot... (Im actually hopeful that he does... )
  19. Yeah I think the leash is short. Even if Sam is playing well but we fall behind in the playoff push I can see them throwing Corral out there to finish the season - to see what we have. Honestly if I were to bet on it, I see Sam starting the season and Corral finishing it.
  20. Ha ha man Cam at his prime was amazing. When I get depressed I'll often re-watch some 2015 games, specifically the Arizona playoff game. But dude come on... Cam could stiff arm DE's and truck stick LB's. CB's just got out of the way!!
  21. I hear what your saying but I think it will be an actual open competition. Fitt came from Seattle with Wilson, so he has seen what happens when you open it up. That said I think the tie goes to Sam. If at the end of camp Sam and Corral look equal I think they roll with Sam. That said the leash would be VERY short.
  22. Man I just feel for kids with 'weird' names. I means Cam's kids names are way out there but even my friends wanted to make their kids name's 'unique' and just made up spellings for them. Those kids will go through life CONSTANTLY correcting people on how to spell it and that grinds on you. Heck my name is Alan and it can be spelled Alan, Allan or Allen (as the more common ways) most people spell my name Allan and as a kid that really irked me. Now I dont even bother to correct them.. so yeah.. I feel for kids with odd names.
  23. I think the best situation is what Rhule has already said will happen. Its an open competition. Darnold should win that. If Darnold sucks and we finish bottom 5 we are drafting another QB next year for our new head coach. If Darnold pays mediocre then Corral is again in competition with Darnold. I am still bullish on Darnold. I think him having competition will actually push him to be better. He is still young and has all the tools. Who is at QB doesn't matter to me as long as they earned that spot.
