  1. How crazy to think on top of THOSE two we had yet ANOTHER absolutely elite MLB in Beason.
  2. Real life isn't exactly any fun for Panthers Fans right now... So a hypothetical question. You get any Panther player in history to stop from being injured/injury prone... Who would you choose? Maybe even throw in a Wild-Card guy that wasn't a sure-fire all time great for us. I'll go with, Cam Newton, and my wild card would be Jeff Otah .
  3. Richardson might have been a lot of things; some of which I would not defend... But the only thing he cared about was football. Not Revenue or any of that. He only cared about building a respectable franchise. I couldn't think of how to word it at first...bc I wanted to say he cared about winning, but some of his 'I only sign good boys' ideals kept us average. But 'Respectable Franchises win', and have a good image. That's what Jerry wanted no question.
  4. One thing I will say I've noticed. This board hates Rhule for A LOT, but trading Perryman is one of the few things I don't see people saying 'I can't believe we did that!' about. Even with his Pro-Bowl season going on.
  5. I clicked this thread, saw 10 posts, and did an over/under on how many would say 'Fire Rhule'. I guessed 8...it was 9
  6. I guess that's true. I did the math earlier, and to break it without the extra game he'd need about 85.6 yds pg. at this rate.
  7. I agree; there is just something about him that doesn't seem to be there that all elite receivers have. And I could be wrong CB's around the league may look forward to matching up with DJ. He just doesn't seem to have that 'IT' factor. The numbers are there though, and I mean those are what help get you paid.
  8. I wanted to let a few others get their thoughts off without jading the tone of the thread. I think I'm just traumatized from having Steve Smith, because while I know Moore is good, and has potential. For him to be setting personal bests this year is surprising. I just rarely see that WOW factor from DJ or that DOG in him. But he's definitely a solid guy, and I think he'll eventually just make a great #2 in his career.
  9. https://www.si.com/nfl/panthers/news/the-latest-on-d-j-moores-injury "Moore is just 62 yards shy of recording his third straight 1,000-yard season. If he is able to play in the team's final four games of the season, there's a real possibility that he could notch career highs in receptions, receiving yards, and receiving touchdowns in a single season. He needs 16 catches, 256 yards, and one score to set new personal bests."
  10. I read that he's about to set personal bests this year... Trying not to be bias, or just thinking about the teams record. How do you feel about his performance this year? How do you feel about his potential in the future?
  11. True, of course the obvious that they get paid millions, they also have an off-season. I just know that line could've been taken out of context. You never know what was going on for Joe at the moment, or how it was framed and he just couldn't make it. ....or he just wasn't dedicated.
  12. I hate to see CMC limited due to injuries and not talent. When healthy CMC is of course a top 3/4 RB in the league ; but at this point there needs to be a RB by committee or he should be restructured. Assuming they don't completely move on.
  13. this in depth analysis after reading that very insightful article actually made me laugh out loud
  14. While no pressures is still no easy feat; I recall the Washington fan near me saying that they were without both starting DE's?
  15. lmfao...I think..that lesson...should've been learned...by now. lol
  16. Have you watched...the past two seasons...at all? Christian...Christian is literally what it could hurt. lmfao
  17. The fact that a 2x Coach of the Year here, barely has one positive comment in this entire thread says a lot about this fan base to me.
  18. There needs to be something, it was the worst getting rid of my tickets here without it. Plus there just becomes too much commentary about "That price isn't fair, too high!" even when I'd post them for less than the going rate while winning. (Those same people would never want to offer retail when the team was losing of course lol)
  19. Exactly to the second quote. I know people want to look at these guys as super heroes lol, but they're people. I don't truthfully know anyone that gives 100% at their job year in and year out every single day....especially when you relate it to sports where it was pretty clear we weren't going to reach our ultimate goal of a Super Bowl let alone the playoffs. Is it right? No. Is it human? Yes. The only difference between him and 75% of those guys is he actually said it.
  20. I don't think anything could really happen and I've thought the same if a guy wanted to leave bad enough I'd just threaten to play badly. BUT there are teammates that will fight you and cause a scene on the sidelines over you wasting their opportunities...yes, even in Houston.
  21. Yeah; Carolina is clearly not 'rebuilding'. The pieces are falling into place, the rebuild was last off-season. Now it's players being comfortable in the system, rookies being developed, and adding more star potential. This is a 2-3 year rebuild. Year 2 is here, they don't want to have yet another bad year for the sake of the future.
  22. I definitely remember McClover ; people were calling him The Predator, bc his locs with his frame made him look pretty damn intimidating.... never exactly translated as a pro though.
